1 The Noise of a Hydra

Hello, It's me, Saqlain, who is now 13 years old. Well putting the biography for another day, today, I am going to share a terrifying story of my life, which I had experienced, a few days ago.

At first, let me tell you that I am a sound sleeper. Because of that, I don't usually respond to anything while I am asleep until it is time for me to wake up. However, I had never seen a scary dream in my entire life, that could wake me up from my sleep.

Yesterday I saw an Animation Movie before going to sleep, its name was "Monster Inc".

This movie mainly consists of a lot of monsters, who were teleported to our peaceful world with a teleportation gate. They aimed to scare the little children like me, and after accomplishing their task, they went back to their monster world by that gate.

Yeah, the story of that movie was something like that.

Let it be, let's start my story…

I enjoyed that movie very very much, so I watched it to the end before going to bed. After that, I fell asleep and slept for quite a while.

Suddenly I woke up from a strange noise. And, the noise was from none other than the mouth of a seven-headed monster, which is called "Hydra" in different myths. (At that time I didn't know what it was. I googled it afterward.)

The noise that was coming from its mouth was very horrifying. Besides noise, the more horrifying thing was for me that it was on my bed. That made me so shocked that I was unable to move an inch. I was feeling like a statue and was thinking that what the heck is it? Also, where did this monster come from, to my room?

After a breath, I realized that the tale of the movie "Monster Inc" was pretty much the same. Could it be that the story of the monster coming through a teleportation gate to scare humans is true?

If it was the case then I could understand how the Hydra comes to my room to scare me. As I already knew, from the movie. When any children get scared by seeing any of these monsters, the monster will gain some kind of fear power which they strongly want and after getting it they will go back to their world. So, I tried to act like that. I was scared so that the monster could realize that and went back to its place.

I was so scared that I was unable to express any type of reaction at that moment. As, you already know that, at that time I was petrified from fear like a statue. My heart was racing but the whole body was frozen as still. There was no way I could move, cry, or run out of my bed.

Apart from that, when I tried to cry, it came out like a funny noise. And I thought that it would go back to the place where it came from. But due to the comical voice of mine, the Hydra becomes angry. As a result, it turned around one of the seven heads towards me. As it was bringing its head closer and closer to my head it also opened its jaw wider and wider. Looking at it made me more terrified, so I closed both of my eyes shut.

After a while, I felt a cold breeze around my nose and ears and it was also all around my head. And I was also feeling a sharp object that was trying to cut my neck. So, I tried to shout and push the Hydra away from me.

While I was pushing with all my might, I opened both of my eyes. However, what I saw was not any monster but just my empty room.

When I looked at my body I saw that my whole body drenched in sweat and the blanket that was covering my body was lying on the floor. It got there because of my almighty push.

Suddenly I realized that the thing I was seeing was not real and that's why I tried to solve the puzzles one by one.

At first, the reason why I was feeling cold around my head was that my head was out of my warm blanket. And the reason I was feeling that something sharp was cutting my neck was because of that stupid earphone that I was wearing in my ear before going to sleep. I find it out when I look down at my neck. I saw that my earphones wire got stuck around my neck from behind, which was tightening in my neck every time I was trying to move a little.

Thus, I realized that it was none other than a horrible nightmare of mine, and there was no monster like Hydra in my room.

The story could have ended there but it didn't. Just when I was reassuring my mind that there was no danger at all it was all a nightmare, I heard the same strange noise that the hydra was making.
