"Let's go to the door." Jian Yunnao suggested this after thinking for a while.

"Okay," Mo Shiyun replied.

They both headed to the door.

"Where did you put your gift?" Jian Yunnao asked Mo Shiyun.

"Here," Mo Shiyun said. She pointed to the spot by the door and continued speaking, "I didn't know that I was going to have dinner with you guys that day… That's why I left the gift by the door. I assumed that someone would bring the bag in if they saw it."

If Mo Shiyun had placed the bag there, someone would have seen it and brought it in.

Jian Yunnao looked around the door. He found a paper bag in the bushes not far away from the door.

The bag was wet from dew and it had been crumpled.

It was obvious that the bag had been in this place for several days. It had been exposed to the wind and the sun.

When Jian Yunnao opened the bag, he found a black sweater and a black scarf that had embroidery on them.
