13 chapter 10

Clark was not all that safe either, before he could react he was sent into a building by a train that was obviously thrown. The jets were destroyed by the Kryptonian battleship, shot down by lasers before landing before the unconscious body of Faora. Nam'ek clearly wobbling with his armor fractured at some places, went ahead and picked her up gently walking towards the ship that soon after picking them up blasted towards the sky.

Already timed out and hiding behind a corner observing everything, Jacob and Godwin were trying to recuperate their energy. " Well that was something." Said Godwin, rubbing his jaw he continues " I swear that i can feel more than a few of my teeth shaky."

Patting Godwin's shoulder Jacob replied "We got quite a valuable experience here, now we know what to expect and we have to get ready, Incase that was not all the abilities they revealed." Now that got the attention of Godwin "Like what, from the blue guy i saw that he could also fly. And release eye lasers as well, you want to tell me there's more!!" Looking at Godwin, Jacob said "Hey i understand why you might not want to keep helping me against them, so if i have face them alone i won't hold it against you."

Slapping Jacob upside his head Godwin told him "Bitch you wish, i was looking for some challenges and now i have some. You ain't taking that from me, next time I'mma make that big sonnova bitch fear me." Laughing at that Jacob replied "Seems like this is personal, huh?" Looking back at him he only nodded, seeing Clark blasting off of the area he asked Jacob "What's the plan now?" Not even pausing for a second he immediately responded "Remember what we did here before the fight?"

Not liking where this was going Godwin asked "Where are they gonna hit?"

"Metropolis" said Jacob as he was seemingly lost in thoughts, Godwin only looked horrified. He could only imagine the amount of people about to die if they did nothing. fathers, mothers, children. Many innocent lives would be snuffed before they had a chance of survival.

"What do we do?....how long until?....." Godwin unable to continue, looking at his best friend Jacob answered"That's what I'm trying to figure out, as for how long we don't have much. Could be a couple of hours maybe?" Shrugging his shoulders, Godwin did not talk much after that surrounding both himself and Jacob in a golden energy barrier they blasted of to Central City.

While Godwin went on to do his thing, Jacob went on to meditate to figure out his strategy. He needed to figure out how to save metropolis from destruction, if he could evacuate or shield them how would he go on about it?

(Flashback)

In a foreign place a figure could be seen, observing something from a distance. Before another one approached and asked the first figure "And here i thought that we were the last, when will he be ready?" Still observing while not moving, before turning to address the second figure "I have been silent long enough, since he could not find out about us. I'll be the one to guide him to us, as i should have at the beginning." It seemed like the second one was not convinced "How could you be sure he is worthy, even your son had to prove himself!"

"ENOUGH!!! I HAVE MADE MY DECISION!......Leave me be." Seemingly enraged at the reminder of his past, the second one bowing then left the figure once again alone.

Lifting his right hand a white glow surrounding it, whispering to it " Guide the lost child home" the glow, then took shape of a black Raven cawed in acknowledgement before taking off into the abyss

(Back to the present)

The tapping to the window distracted him from his meditation, clearly annoyed he got up and went to see what was causing the noise. Arriving to the window he saw a raven, approaching the window he opened it and it flew through his chest like a phantom causing him to panic.

Before he could move further he then started to feel sluggish as he then lost his consciousness, waking up he found himself in what looked like a ruin of a civilization. Many Statues broken with missing pieces and buildings destroyed, even the roads were not spared of the fate that followed the architectures.

But even he could see the beauty and splendor that he saw, he could imagine how it would had looked like, then he heard a caw. Looking at a nearby roof he saw that bird again, clearly pissed for the scare the raven gave him "What the hell's your problem huh?!!!" It only cawed as a response before flying and landing at the farthest roof.

'Well everything happens for a reason, i suppose i could see where the bird's leading me' having thought rationally he decided to follow it, it led him all the way to the huge castle all the way to the throne room. As he was approaching it he saw a figure covered in what looked like a black robe that had a hood, the head covered in the dark hood was down while the body was sat upright.

Jacob stopped before the throne looking at the person sitting on it, clearly he could see it was not breathing so he wandered where he may have found himself. "Took you long enough." Said the being on the throne, now that it was confirmed that "he" was alive he responded " What do you mean, i don't know you or this place."

"For a very good reason i assure you, all will be explained." Said the stranger, Jacob only shook his head and said to the stranger "I'm sorry, but could we perhaps continue this another time? There's something that I have to do, and I need to get started now. Lives are at stake." The stranger only started to chuckle before he said "No need to worry, the time that passes here is quite different compared to the mortal realm."

"Not to sound rude but, who are you? And where am I?" Asked Jacob, The stranger responded "Is it not a common courtesy to introduce yourself first?"

"Jacob, Jacob Turner." He introduced himself,still waiting for the stranger's turn before the stranger slowly rose from his throne while a spear started to take form next to his hand " This is what I am called" thunders starting to erupt in the sky "I'm called Glad-of-War, Grim, Raider, and Third. I am One-Eyed. I am called Highest, and True-Guesser. I am Grimnir, and I am the Hooded One. I am All-Father, and I am Gondlir Wand-Bearer. I have as many names as there are winds, as many titles as there are ways to die. My ravens are Huginn and Muninn, Thought and Memory; my wolves are Freki and Geri; my horse is the gallows...I AM ODIN!!!"

The world seemingly shaking at his proclamation, as the earth seemingly trembled at his authoritative voice. Jacob was simply mind blown by this revelation, he was not standing before a stranger but he was before the Godking of the Asgardians Odin the allfather himself.
