2 Chapter - 1 Our friendship

It's my first day at the new middle school

Elton School. I promised to myself on my 9th birthday that would not be nervous and panic in new environment but as a 10 year old girl in a new school I feel really nervous though I should have no problem getting along well with the new students.

Teacher: " All the students in class have to introduce themselves to everyone in name

order in front of class. " " So Let's just start "

As everyone was going near teachers desk and introduced themselves I was being very

nervous.

Suddenly a hand was roaming on my back as that person started whispering soothing words to me. I looked up and saw a really beautiful boy standing hunched near my seat he said " it's okay you're going to be fine "

" But I can make a mess there and no one will ever be my friend here " I said

" hmm then be assured that you have friend now and he will have your back forever to help you out " he said smilingly

I should say something like thanks or tell my name but I should tell you that his smile is like so charming that I didn't know what to say to him until teacher said my name and I went out to the desk for introducing myself to my classmates there

I saw him saying all the best silently through sign .

"Hi everyone I'm Dahlia Ryan I moved to the city here and I love music, art and food

love to study .

hope to see you all as my friends "

I was relieved to see that other students were smiling positively toward me so

I smiled back to my seat.

I saw that boy who helped was seated

near my desk .

I smiled at him and thanked him.

As I sat down I realized that I didn't know his name so I turned my head to ask his name but he was on his way towards the teacher's desk so I relaxed in my seat and listened to his voice.

"Hello everyone myself Jackson Hamilton

hope to have a successful school year with you all ".

he only told his name and returned near our desk

I asked him " Hey Jackson why didn't you say something more about yourself? ".

"Dear Dahlia it's not necessary to make a long introduction for first day at school you get to know people throughout the school year so be sure to keeping it in your mind that people here necessarily are not what they want to saw they are okay."

But I wanted to be his friend but just now he gave me an advice that only someone mature and older than me had gotten me.

I don't know why but I wanted him to be my friend and he was sitting right next to me but I couldn't ask him "will be my friend? ". Before I could ask him to be my friend the teacher asked as to review our English textbook and missed my chance to ask him that.

Then during the day at school in physical education class we were sent to school grounds to play and bond so everyone was happy.

All the boys and girls decided that all should play together dodge ball after listening that some girls opposed to the idea saying girls were wearing skirt so it wouldn't be easy to play in them so, all of us decided to change to the P.T school uniforms which was black and white tracksuit.

I was happy and excited to play with my classmates and while coming out of changing room I saw Jackson bandaging his wound on his knees and and sharp cut near his toes his shoes on bench were sat .

I ran towards him and took bandage from his hand and started to apply it .

" You don't need to do that for me" He said .

"Yes I need to do this for you " I said to him sincerely.

he shrugged his shoulder and asked " why would you do it?"

I stared in his golden eyes and said "When you helped me while I was nervous and scared since that moment I think of you as my friend so I need to do this. " and then completed treating his wound .

When I looked up at him from my hunched position I saw he was staring at me but then he winced like he was hurting a lot .

" Hey Jackson do you want go to school nurse's office or the ground? ". I asked him.

" I will come to the ground with you ". he replied.

"Hey Dahlia!" someone called my name I looked and saw a guy name Mark from our class called me .

I went near and saw that all the class students were sitting near the tree.

Mark said " Hey as we are playing in mixed boys girls team we thought let us ask two girls to divide up class in two teams as 2 girls you and Maria came last from the changing room why not you two divide the team up ."

Maria was standing next me and smiled so I smiled back.

She gave the idea of tossing a coin to decide who will pick a team member first .

She won the toss and started the round.

When the teams were divided I was relieved to see that. Jackson was in my team so I will try my best his wound wouldn't get worse.

I was happy that my team was playing well

and due to my plan I knew that there was no pressure on any injuries of Jackson.

we were winning.

In the last round 3 players in my team and 2 in Maria team were remaining, others were cheering on us. I saw that Maria threw the ball and her target was Jackson and I knew that if I didn't jump in front of the ball he would badly get injured if the ball hit his feet or if tried to jump .So I lept in front the ball but got out .

I was sad to see that I was out but Jackson and Jillian the 2 of team should me that they will keep fighting.

I was surprised to see that Jackson had thrown ball 3 times and it hit Maria in third try. While he effortlessly dodged the ball and Jillian also was playing very smoothly.

they were playing with only one person left of the opposite like it was Olympic games not some school game.

But then ball hit opposite team's player and my team won all thanks to Jackson and Jillian. We laughed after the game even the team who just lost but all of us were very with the amazing start of school.

While I was going back to changing room

when Jackson called me " umm... Dahlia I want to say something to you " I looked at him and saw that he was rubbing his hand on his neck. I asked " Hey is it hurting somewhere. Do you need some help?"

"No, no !! need for me for help cause I have you " I was surprised by his answer I looked at him with big eyes.

" Look Dahlia before the game just announced that you consider me your and it shocked me so let me also shock you by my announcement So from this day onwards you Dahlia Ryan are my Best friend.

And that's how our friendship started.
