19 The Orbs React
The heavy downpour of rain continued for an entire day and night. At times when the rain was thought to have stopped, within just minutes, the rain came pouring down once again. Not only did it rain continuously, but strong winds that were enough to blow away even trees also breezed throughout the night whilst claps of thunder could be heard.
The next day, on almost every channel on Tv, news channels broadcasted about incidents happening all around the country. The strong winds blew away trees that formed a strange insignia when viewed from the above-ground while the lightning charred some hills making a similar pattern on the surface.
Ye Qin watched this news and thought to himself, "Hmm, could it be that a powerful monster from the 'other side' has awakened and is causing a ruckus even here in the human world?"
The Other Side, also known as the Monster Realm where monsters reside. A long time ago, when humanity learned of a way to fight back against the monsters, they learned of a way to enter enemy territory which was known as the Monster Realm to this day. In this realm, groups of the greatest trainers go on an expedition into the Monster Realm to fight off the monsters and preventing them from entering the Human Realm.
From the groups of trainers that return to the Human Realm from those expeditions, not all of them ever return. However, their deaths are not in vain. From those deaths, knowledge of unknown species of monsters is brought back to the Human Realm and is recorded into books for the future.
As for the monsters, the most powerful ones stay in their homeland, sending the weaker ones to lay waste in the Human Realm. Usually, only elite trainers from various universities as well as soldiers are allowed entry into the Monster Realm.
The entrance to the Monster Realm is constantly guarded by elite soldiers and monitored at every second for any possible changes. Just like venturing into the Abandoned Lands, all trainers and soldiers must pass an exam to acquire a license before they can venture into the Monster Realm.
The incidents caused major groups from around New China to be wary whilst the Final Exam for all highschool students continued on. Ye Qin went to have breakfast along with Wang Tao as well as Tang Yaling who joined them later on.

As they ate peacefully, Sun Zan who had lost the previous day joined the trio for breakfast as his cheerfulness returned to him. Suddenly, from within the space of Ye Qin's smartwatch, the seven orbs that he and Wang Tao had found in the Abandoned Lands started glowing in a golden color simultaneously.
The two brothers who realized this faced each other and frowned slightly before a single orb glew brighter whilst the others became dimmer. Taking a look at it, Ye Qin noticed the orb the characters for Monkey 'Hou' started appearing. The character that fully formed then moved down slightly from the center as the symbol of a monkey-like insignia became visible just slightly above the characters.
"Hou? It must be reacting to Sun Zan?" Ye Qin thought for a few seconds.
Whoosh!
Taking out the orb, Ye Qin held it in one hand as he showed it to Sun Zan and asked "What do you see?"
Sun Zan looked at the orb in Ye Qin's palm before replying "What do you mean? It's just a plain old orb, there's nothing special about it."
"..."
"..."
Ye Qin and Wang Tao who obviously saw the changes looked at each other before nodding. The former than said "Sun Zan, take this and keep it in your smartwatch. As for why I'm not sure either but it will be helpful in the future."
Sun Zan had a puzzled look on his face as he reached out to grab the orb in Ye Qin's hand. Suddenly, as he made contact with the orb, Sun Zan felt a strange but familiar sensation from the orb. The longer he held it, the more that feeling lingered deep within his heart as he kept staring at it for a few minutes before finally putting inside the space inside his smartwatch.
After finishing their breakfast, the two brothers roamed around for a bit until their match against Gu Lexian begun shortly.

In the arena, the empty stands just the previous night was now filled with people from the various schools that participated in the exam. Ye Qin, Wang Tao, and Tang Yaling stood on one side of the field whilst their opponents stood in the other.
The referee spoke into his mic as he announced the beginning of the second match of the semifinals. "Round 2 of the Semifinals begin!"
Woosh!
Both teams summoned their monsters at once, however, Ye Qin didn't face Gu Lexian himself. Instead, it was Tang Yaling and her Phantasm Phoenix whilst the other two would faced Gu Lexian's team members.
"Huh? Why isn't Ye Qin facing Gu Lexian?" someone in the crowd said loudly.
"Does he think that he would be bullying her if he were to win?" another student speculated.
"Be quiet! Who cares who faces who? It will still be exciting regardless!" someone else shouted at the two.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao's monsters faced the other two monsters and used their immense aura to suppress the opponents making them want to forfeit before the battle had even begun!
Wang Tao's opponent is a huge octopus with 10 eyes on its face! He chose this particular person as his opponent since his element of Ice has the advantage over the opponent.

The ten eyes on its face enable it to have a broader view enabling it to see from all angles. The streams of water from its suction holes also enable it to move on land as if it were flying]
As for Ye Qin, he faced a somewhat rare monster from the goblin race.

Tang Yaling's Phantasm Peacock faced Gu Lexian's monster which is also a bird type monster which is why the other two planned for the two to face off particularly

[Info: A type of gull born within the darkness of the world. It's dark powers envelope its body which gave it the dark colors throughout its body. Though its talons aren't as sharp as other birds and nor are its wings, its huge beak can penetrate through thick slabs of earth giving it powerful offensive ability in exchange for elegance]
Wang Tao's Blackgold Python Tiger was summoned in its full form as its powerful gold and ice element froze the ground beneath it whilst making it seem more majestic like an emperor. It turned into a ray of golden light as it suddenly appears in front of the Ten Eyed Octopus and slashed with a single claw.
Woosh!
The Ten Eyed Octopus instantly flew away by shooting powerful jets of water from its tentacles before rotating around to face the Blackgold Tiger's behind and shooting a large ball of water from its beak.
Phew!
The Blackgold Python Tiger knew it was coming and once again turned into a flash of light as it disappeared then appeared far away from the octopus and stepped on the ground as the ground became golden due to the ice that froze the ground further as it grew larger like an iceberg that tried to instantly penetrate its foe.
The Ten Eyed Octopus shot streams of water at the ice which didn't work until it closed its body up and turned the streams of water into a single hose before it could start cracking away at the chilling ice of the Blackgold Python Tiger.
The tiger then continued channeling its freezing ice powers that formed huge slabs of ice that trapped the octopus-like a clam as it completely shut in its prey. The Blackgold Tiger then roared before using its ice to skate in the air even though it had wings before slapping the ice that froze the Ten Eyed Octopus.
Shree! Kuahh!
As the icebergs fell, the Ten Eyed Octopus fell along with it as it stopped moving completely before turning into a flash of blue light and returned to its master's Monster Sea.

Ye Qin's opponent, on the other hand, had commanded his monster to stay under the earth making it difficult for the former's gold koi to attack physically. The earthen goblin moved swiftly throughout the ground as it popped out at random times and attacked, though its efforts were in vain as the golden koi dodged the slow attacks with ease before sending a headbutt at it and forcing it back into the ground.
This continued endlessly the entire time which made Ye Qin frown a bit since it's taking a bit longer than expected. He then looked at Wang Tao and smiled whilst the latter too smiled and nodded to his boss as if he were saying "Do it!"
Ye Qin's golden koi then came closer to him then faced the opposing master. Its small body started glowing gold whilst a powerful aura affected the minds of all the monsters on the field. Everyone in the stadium paid attention to Ye Qin as the cries of a dragon resounded throughout the stadium.
Roar!
The Golden Koi's body continued glowing as it expanded in size rapidly. The golden scales on its body extended until it reached a length of twenty meters whilst the cries of a dragon grew louder and louder as time went on.
Roar! Roar!
"What's happening!???"
"Why is there the sound of a dragon???!!!"
"Why is Ye Qin's monster getting bigger???!!!"
"Hahahahahahaha! It's time for my boss to show his true strength!!!" Wang Tao laughed loudly.
Roar!
The Golden Koi completed its transformation into its dragon form as its earth-shaking and heaven piercing cries resounded in the ears of all.
