4 Monster Breeder Assocation
Arriving at the Monster Breeder Association of the New Jiangnan Branch, Ye Qin and Kong Bo respectively both stepped foot inside the building which looked like a large corporation however was on a smaller scale. Walking around inside, displays of holographic monsters along with their details flow in a streamline whilst a battle or two between Tamers is shown on screen.
The Monster Breeder Association of New Jiangnan is naturally located in New Jiangnan, it is located just beneath the recreated Yangtze River. Like the original Jiangnan, it encompasses the city of Shanghai, the southern part of Jiangsu Province, the entire Zhejiang Province, the southeastern part of Anhui Province, the northern part of Jiangxi and Fujian Provinces.
The most important cities in the area are Shanghai, Anqing, Changzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Shaoxing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Zhenjiang and Fuzhou. However, only one Breeder Association Branch is located in the region making for long travel distances for tamers in certain regions.
Kong Bo asked as he walked in his casual clothes "So what do you think? Not too shabby right?". Ye Qin who was looking around and saw many tamers and breeders with their monsters out and scanned them, turned around to nod at Kong Bo's question before going back at it leaving Kong Bo speechless.
The two of them walked up to the reception desk whilst a young woman in her 20's politely asks "Welcome to the Jiangnan Monster Breeder Association, how may I help you?"
Kong Bo said with a poker face, "Tell Jin Kun that Kong Bo is looking for him." causing the receptionist to make a puzzled face and ask "May I ask you who this Jin Kun is?"
Kong Bo looked at her blankly and thought "What the hell? An employee not knowing the name of her boss?". Thankfully a co-worker walked up to the receptionist from behind and whispered something into her ear making her entire face flush as red as a tomato.
She then bowed and said in a very loud voice accidentally "I'm extremely sorry sir, I will call the President immediately." which brought the attention of a majority of nearby tamers and breeders making them wonder what the old man's relationship with the President could be.

After making the call, a few minutes later, a middle-aged man wearing a full black suit came running as he arrived in front of Ye Qin and Kong Bo who were sitting down and enjoying a cup of green tea.
President Jin Kun caught his breath and said slowly "Uncle... Master... Why have you come to look for me?". Kong Bo got up and replied, "Well we can't exactly discuss this in such an open space now can we?"
Jin Kun replied, "Of course not, Uncle Master please follow me to my office." As he looked at the young man behind his uncle master.
Once the trio arrived at the president's office, Kong Bo and Ye Qin sat parallel to each other whilst Jin Kun sat directly opposite of them. Ye Qin sat down with one leg crossed over the other as he sipped on a cup of black tea, Jin Kun asked once again, "Uncle Master, why have you come today? Alas, this young man is?"
Kong Bo replied bluntly "I've come here for this kid today, give him a Gold-ranked license. I would give him a Diamond Rank but having one at his age will cause a huge commotion."
Jin Kun who had been sipping his coffee almost choked and coughed a few times before saying "What! You want to give a highschooler a Gold-rank license?! That will cause a huge commotion itself, forget the Diamond rank! Are you sure?"
"I think even a Master rank license is more suitable for him but such a thing would shock the entire world, not just China. I've tested him myself, he has the knowledge to be at the Master rank. The kid even has a 100% evolution rate." Kong Bo said.
"What?! 100%? How many evolutions has he succeeded in?" Jin Kun asked. "1." Kong Bo replied sharply with confidence.
"..."
"The thing is it succeeded on the very first try, better yet he discovered a brand new species. I'll show you the data I've gotten from observing it, now I just need to see it in action before it can enter the encyclopedia."
"No way for a kid to discover a new species all on his own… You're right about the Gold rank, however, I won't be able to hold onto my seat if he is just given one without taking any tests. How about it are you willing to take a single test? It's only two pages long." Jin Kun asked.
Ye Qin frowned slightly as he looked at Kong Bo then looked at Jin Kun and replied "Fine, I'll do it since I'm already here"
"Great, let me get the papers ready." Jin Kun said.

After completing the test and scoring a beautiful one hundred, Jin Kun gave Ye Qin a golden badge to keep on his body and a digital license to leave inside his smartwatch.
During the one thousand years of history with monsters, though it became humanity's greatest crisis, at the same time, technology advanced rapidly by centuries. Nowadays, every student owns a smartwatch which records everything needed in school and even after they graduate and become a soldier or breeder.
Walking away with a shiny golden badge pinned to his shirt hidden by his jacket, Ye Qin and Kong Bo left the breeder association as they took a cab to Qingzhou High. Making their way to the principal's office, Ye Qin showed the principal his Gold rank license and asked to skip all theory lessons without affecting his overall record, making the principal fall off his chair as his wig slipped off his head revealing a shiny bald head.
Leaving the Principal's office, Ye Qin takes a quick stretch in the hallway then walks out along with Kong Bo. On the way out, Ye Qin's homeroom teacher Mo Qiu dressed in a white jacket and blue blouse along with a matching white skirt that showed off her perky bottom noticed the former and walked past him as he nodded.
"Old man, can you do me a favor?" Ye Qin asked as they walked, "Sure what do you need?" Kong Bo replied as if it were natural.
"I have a list here of materials I need for my monster, call me when you have the materials." Ye Qin said as he sent over a list of materials to Kong Bo's smartwatch.
Kong Bo nodded and looked through the materials as he thought "The kid needs quite a lot of materials huh, isn't his monster a [Common] grade? Why does he need so many Monster cores of each element? Could it be? Another new species? If so the kid is indeed a genius in his field!"
Ye Qin watched Kong Bo who was thinking inwardly and asked: "They aren't a problem for you right?". "No no, of course not. Tell me when you start evolving your monster I want to watch the process." the latter replied.
"Alright, see you." Ye Qin said as he walked off on his own to who knows where.

Kong Bo then walked out of Qingzhou High at his own pace as he looked around.

The next day, Ye Qin calls Wang Tao out as the two boys skip classes and venture off. Arriving at a location with plenty of water from lakes and rivers, Ye Qin says "Fatty Tao, let's battle here".
Wang Tao looked at his best friend puzzled before coming to a realization and replied: "So that's why you brought me here"
Ye Qin nodded as he sent out his monster.

With a flash of gold light, a golden koi jumps into the lake. The biggest reason why Ye Qin is considered trash is because of his Koi, not only is it a common monster, it has almost zero combat ability and to top it off it cannot fight on land and only in the seas though that wouldn't make any difference.
Wang Tao followed and called out his Blackgold Python Tiger. Ye Qin thought "Now how should I do this, my monster currently has zero combat power, to fight against a strong foe is harder than going to heaven. Even if I just let it hit the tiger would it gain any XP?"
He then told Wang Tao to let his Python Tiger stay still without fighting back as Ye Qin told his gold koi to smash its entire body onto the tiger.

"I see, it does indeed gain XP just for hitting a superior monster even without doing any damage, thank god or else even with this I wouldn't be able to do anything." Ye Qin thought.

After spending an hour or two grinding exp, the Gold Koi finally reached level 10 and is finally ready for upgrading and evolution. Wang Tao who had thought his job was over was about to run toward Ye Qin excitedly before a flash of Silver light blinded the former, as a Silver Koi appeared floating atop a nearby lake.
"What!? Boss you… Two monsters!!!!" Wang Tao shouted.
"Oi, you're too loud, keep it a secret for me. Right now you are the only person who knows about this other than I of course." Ye Qin said.
"This… got it! I swear upon our brotherly bonds!" Wang Tao said as he slammed a fist onto his heart causing him some slight pain.
"..."
Wang Tao then ran back to his original position without needing Ye Qin to say anything as the two once again repeated the process of grinding XP for the Koi.

After another hour or so, Ye Qin and Wang Tao were wiped out as they sat down and rested for a while. "So boss, what now?" the Wang Tao asked.
"Let's see, I need to wait for the old man to gather the necessary materials before I can increase both monsters' grade and evolve them." the latter replied.
"I see, will it be a new species again?" Wang Tao whispered, though Ye Qin still heard him but didn't utter a word. Suddenly he heard a notification on his smartwatch.
Ding!
[Sender: Kong Bo - The materials are ready to come to this address to collect them when you're ready]
Ye Qin then stood up and said: "Let's go fatty after I evolve them let's ask your father for a temporary pass to the abandoned lands"
The Abandoned Lands was the home of humanity before the world collapsed a millennium ago, those lands now filled with monsters everywhere along with military bases hence given the name 'abandoned lands'.
"Huh? You want to go there already? Isn't it dangerous even with our monsters? Will your parents agree?" Wang Tao asked.
"Yup, but there's another secret I haven't told you yet. Your dad will surely agree once he learns of it. As for my family, I doubt they would care, once my father knows he will convince my mother to let me do whatever I want anyway." Ye Qin said confidently.
"..."
The two then left the area as they headed off to the location Kong Bo had sent them.
