10 Escape
Woosh! Woosh!
Swooping in like two dark shadows moving along the darkness of the night, the two boys arrived and picked up the girl along with her black dragon and quickly escaped.
"Want to escape?! Never!!" The Overlord Treant furiously roared as it sent thousands of vines flying behind the two.
The Monkey King stopped following behind them and turned around, standing on its cloud and faced the vines on its own. The Great Sage pulled off some of his golden monkey furs and threw it into the air.
Pop! Pop!
Woosh! Woosh!
At once, dozens of the monkey's clones appeared replacing the golden fur as they all laughed and faced the vines.
"Ruyi Jingu Bang Extend!" The Great Sage shouted as the polearm in his hand handed in both height and width.
Woosh! Woosh!
The Ruyi Jingu Bang of both the original and clones stopped expanding once they reached two-hundred meters in height and eight meters in diameter.
The Monkey King and his clones all swung the huge polearms at the vines and caught them like chopsticks picking up noodles from a bowl and tangled it up.
The monkey's waved the giant polearms around like a toy even with the huge size, they could still control it like another limb. The furious Overlord Treant had no choice but to detach the vines from its arms as it screamed at the dozens of golden monkeys standing on a cloud.
As for Ye Qin and Wang Tao, they managed to escape far off into the distance from the Overlord Treant. Ye Qin carried the white-haired girl in his arms whilst Fatty Wang and his Blackgold Python Tiger along with Ye Qin's Yinglong carried the Enigmatic Photon Dragon as he trailed along behind Ye Qin.

"Boss… Boss.. You're carrying a girl in your arms whilst I have to carry a dragon?" Wang Tao said as they stopped flying and went down to the land after successfully escaping from the Overlord Treant.
"You see how thin I am? Do you think I can carry such a huge dragon? Besides, haven't you ever heard the saying 'The Hero saving the Beauty?" Ye Qin said with a poker face.
"..."
"How can you say such a shameless thing without any emotions!? Ah! The injustice!" Wang Tao wanted to cry but no tears could come out.
"Besides, your cat and my dragon carried it. With which arm did you carry it with?" Ye Qin asked.
"Ah?!" Wang Tao exclaimed.
"..."
"Right…"
"..."
After their conversation, the two boys found a safe place to stay for a while and helped the white-haired girl recover from her wounds.
"Ah boss, you're cleaning her wounds? Let me help!" Wang Tao shouted.
"How about you clean this rag instead?" Ye Qin replied.
"..."
"Okay…" Fatty Tao said disappointed as he went to wash the blood off the rag Ye Qin handed him. As for Ye Qin, he carefully removed the white hair girl's clothing showing as least of her skin as he could whilst he cleaned her wounds and applied some medicine.
"Looking at her closely, she really does resemble her…" he thought inside his heart.

After a while, the white-haired girl slowly woke up. Clearing her cloudy eyes, she opened both her eyes as her long lashes fluttered like the wings of a butterfly. Moving around, she felt some pain as she discovered a white jacket that appeared to be a school uniform covering her body as she lies on a peaceful meadow.
"Ah? You're awake!" Wang Tao said excitedly.
Ye Qin who was doing something elsewhere heard his best friend and said "If she's awake do you need to ask her? Can a sleeping person answer that?"
"..."
Ye Qin faced the white-haired girl covered in bandages like a mummy and said "We cleaned your wounds and carried your dragon back. Oh, but we didn't see anything we shouldn't have."
"..."
Seeing that the girl didn't say anything, Ye Qin went to make dinner while Wang Tao sat down next to her and asked her a dozen questions at once making Ye Qin shake his head.
Sizzle! Sizzle!
As he made dinner, the Great Sage who had been keeping the Overlord Treant company arrived as it flew in close on its cloud.
"How was it?" Ye Qin asked without looking at it.
"It was great! I fought it for a while and leveled up. Eventually, humans wearing the same uniform arrived in vehicles and surrounded the big tree." The Monkey King replied.
"The military huh, what happened next?" Ye Qin continued asking.
"Well, the big tree responded by calling out some grass and trees to match with the number of humans and their pets. I stayed for the entire fight, in the end, the big tree got overwhelmed and returned to its territory whilst the humans lost 40% of their forces, and the rest all suffered major injuries."
"I see, good work. You're back just in time for dinner." Ye Qin said as he sprinkled some seasoning before calling Fatty Wang and the girl.
Poosh!
The Great Sage used its 72 Transformations ability and turned itself into a six-year-old kid just before Wang Tao and the white hair girl came over to eat dinner.
Fatty Tao seeing a six-year-old kid appear outta nowhere was about to open his mouth and ask before remembering the Monkey King's ability and kept his mouth shut as he sat down with a bowl and chopsticks in hand and waited for his serving.
Ye Qin collected and served a portion of the sweet and sour pork he made along with rice and sauce kept separately for each person. The white hair girl didn't say anything even though there's a child eating with them in such a dangerous place as she sat quietly and ate with small bites at a time.
Wang Tao and the Great Sage transformed, ate in large mouthfuls drizzled in tons of sauce while Ye Qin ate the sweet and sour pork without any sauce, making it just crispy pork with a slightly bland flavor.
"Boss.. Isn't that.. Bland?" Wang Tao couldn't help but ask.
"Not really, I don't really like sweet food." Ye Qin replied.
"Oh." Fatty Wang said as he continued eating.

After cleaning up and finishing dinner, the white hair girl went to a nearby stream to wash herself while her black dragon guarded her since it had recovered to a good extent. Wang Tao and the Great Sage encouraged Ye Qin to take a peek causing him to give them a strange look and shook his head as he walked off and sat inside his tent and surfed the net on his smartwatch.
As for Fatty Tao and the Monkey King, the two of them still tried to peek at the white hair girl regardless. The two of them moved through the place carefully without making any noise or showing obvious movements as they hid in a nearby bush.
Puff!
Roar!
The Enigmatic Photon Dragon sensed them and sent a ball of photon energy flying in their direction causing them to flee.
"Ah!!" Wang Tao exclaimed as he grabbed the Great Sage standing on its cloud whilst still transformed causing a funny scene for the eyes.
After their failed attempt, the two of them didn't give up and used the shared vision ability to have another attempt at peeking from far away.

After a while, the two came back covered in small wounds and dirt all over their faces causing Ye Qin to be speechless as he went to bed for the night.
The next morning, the white-haired girl's wounds almost completely recovered as the four of them headed back towards New China.
The white-haired girl had an astonished look on her face as she saw Ye Qin riding on a dragon much larger than her own. She stared at its long body that resembled a flood dragon and felt an aura that seemed to suppress her own dragon's aura.

During the journey back, the duo leveled up their monsters by one. Once they made it close to the Teleportation Point, the white hair girl stayed behind on her own whilst the trio went on ahead and headed into the military base.
Upon arriving at the base, the two jumped off their monsters whilst the Great Sage used its 72 Transformations and turned into a hat that was successful due to his tail growing properly during this reincarnation allowing him to transform into any animal or object completely.
The two then walked into the military base and passed through dozens of injured soldiers as they approached the Teleportation Point.
"The military sure suffered greatly this time, who knew an overlord level monster would suddenly leave its area and attack close to human territory. Normally it would take over 50 First Lieutenants or over 100 Second Lieutenant ranked soldiers to even be able to hold back an overlord level. This base in particular only had around 20 or so Lieutenants whilst the rest were all Second level or just Cadets." Wang Tao said quietly.
"Right, some high ranking officials probably got called from HQ to help push back the Overlord Treant this time." Ye Qin replied.
"Boss, what rank would we be according to the strength of our monsters? Maybe around a Major or Commodore?" Fatty Wang asked.
"Hmm, I've never seen any high ranking officials so I can't answer you exactly. But I think we should be around the Captain rank or First Lieutenant at least." the latter replied as they make it to the Teleportation Point and place their temporary passes into the machine.
Taking a step inside the Teleportation gates, with a flash of light, the two boys along with the transformed Monkey King disappeared from the Abandoned Lands and appeared in the void as they crossed space and returned to New China.
