3 Off to Aston

Lee dressed in a suit he found in the cupboard, complete with a red tie. He wondered when was the last time he looked this sharp. Sighing, he grabbed his briefcase with all the necessary documents and left the apartment. He made a mental note to ask Dan about the woman he had encountered earlier, still not knowing her name. Downstairs, he waited for his ride. Dan pulled up in a 2004 Volkswagen Tuareg and signaled for Lee to get in. Lee hopped in, and they drove off.

"How was your night? Did you remember anything?" Dan inquired, his curiosity evident. He had never encountered an amnesiac before and was curious whether it was a temporary situation. Lee shook his head, masking his inner turmoil. He could never reveal his secret, so he had to continue this charade a little longer.

"Are you ready for the interview?" Dan asked, concern flickering in his eyes. Lee's inability to remember basic things like his own house raised doubts about his ability to handle an interview. Dan considered persuading Lee to postpone the interview until his memory returned.

"Hey, Lee, maybe you should take it easy and wait until you're feeling better," Dan suggested, worried.

Lee met Dan's concerned gaze, shook his head, and shifted the topic. "Hey, Dan, do you know who the landlady is?"

Dan's reaction was noticeable, a shiver passing over him. "You've met Jasmine."

"Jasmine, huh? She's quite the beauty," Lee mused.

"Beauty, yeah," Dan responded with a hint of bitterness.

"What did she ask you about?"

"Rent, what else?" Lee replied, hoping to avoid more probing questions. But his answer seemed to make Dan more curious, prompting a barrage of inquiries.

"How was she?"

"What did she say?"

"Did she ask about my whereabouts?"

"What was she wearing?"

Lee felt overwhelmed, trying to evade the questions. He finally threw a curveball at Dan.

"You should confess to her."

Dan's expression turned somber, leaving Lee puzzled about the reason for such a change.

"Dan, what happened? You can tell me anything," Lee encouraged.

Dan let out a sigh as he continued driving. He narrated how he had confessed to her when he first met her, attempting to gloss over parts where she had ignored him and shoved him away. She had warned him to stay away from her, accompanied by a gaze that haunted his nightmares.

Lee was taken aback by the revelation, now determined to steer clear of her. He felt sorry for his friend, who seemed ensnared by this "demoness." He hoped that Dan could move on from this ordeal. He learned her name was Jasmine O'Neil and that her father owned an insurance company in Aston. Lost in his thoughts, Lee suddenly realized they had arrived at Aston Villa. Looking out of the car, he noticed they were finally there – at Aston Villa. A surge of emotions washed over him: nerves, uncertainty, passion, and ultimately, confidence. Dan noticed Lee's complex expressions and patted his shoulder.

"I won't ask you to back down, because I know that would hurt your pride. Just give it your all, bro. Don't worry, I've got your back."

Lee looked at his friend, offering a slight nod. He grabbed his briefcase, adjusted his tie, and took his first step towards his dream, his passion, and his life. He strode forward confidently, solidifying his resolve as he stepped through the doors that would soon become his legendary path.
