36 A new leader is born

But at this moment, Edward an ear piercing scream. He looked towards the source of the sound only to see an arrow sticking out of the left eye of one of Titan's men who then fell on the ground.

Seeing the sudden death of a person caused everyone to stop still, some in fear and some simply in shock at the reality of the situation. Even Titan let go of Night and looked around him in fear.

But then, Titan also screamed, another arrow flew and shot into his shoulder!

In addition to Edward's people, other people had never seen such weapons as bows and arrows.

Edward heard a voice coming from a distance:

"Do not move or I will take you down!"

Edward was surprised to realize that it was Roc's voice. Everyone from Titan tribe did not dare to move again.

Edward sighed a sigh of relief. Edward finally got the chance to stand up. He picked up a big stick from the dead man and walked towards Titan.

For a moment Edward felt the hatred he had for Billy the adulterer, the suffering he had to face trying to survive in this new world and his anger towards Titan's arrogance all came crushing down on him.

He bit his mouth and said nothing while holding the big stick against Titan's head while Titan was holding his shoulder in great pain.

"Hey!"

Titan looked at him with dull eyes that were a little disoriented. Large amount of blood was gushing out of his shoulder wound and yet he had not fallen on the ground.

Edward's heart was unwilling. Even after all he acted like some sort of messiah to these savage people but at the end he was still a person from a civilized world who had not seen bloodshed or such bloody fights.

"Light kill him! I don't want to see him again." Night spoke to Edward.

'Should I really kill someone? Is this alright?'

Killing and bloodshed was still a foreign idea which he could not currently grasp. He knew showing mercy to his enemies would be bad for him and he should not do this in the future lest he wants to die but right now he wasn't ready for such life decisions. Edward knew he was being foolish and clinging onto the modern concepts that would get him killed

But atleast one time, he wanted to act like this. Just once.

"Scram! Take him and get lost! You hear me Titan? The woman you wanted wants me to kill you! If I ever see you again, I will kill you that I promise you"

At this time, Daisy also came down from the cave while being supported by another girl.

The people from Titan tribe quickly supported the injured Titan along with their dead comrade and fled away.

Edward turned to see a look of disappoint flashing across Night's face but it quickly returned to her normal smiling face.

"I am sorry"

Edward reflectively apologized to Night. He knew that killing in this era was common for them and Edward was the odd one to let his enemies run away.

"What for? You are the Chief. You make the decisions and we follow."

The people from Night's previous tribe quickly surrounded Edward,

"I want to follow the person who will make a fire!"

"I didn't expect that this weak thin man could be so powerful to catch so many preys"

"Let Titan come again, we will beat him."

"Light be our patriarch!"

Everyone was saying something different in the crowd but when the last sound appeared, it suddenly resonated with everyone present.

"We want to join; we want to follow you Light!" Everyone shouted in unison.

Night stood tightly beside him, smiling and encouraging him. At this moment, Daisy also had a bright smile on her face. She too was delighted to see all this.

"Night, what we lacked most was manpower and now look our Flying Eagle tribe is growing!"

Edward waved his hand towards the crowd,

"Everyone listen. From now on, men go to Roc to report, women go to Night to report and we will have a barbecue carnival tonight!"

Everyone cheered loudly at the mention of getting meat.

Under the arrangement of Night and Roc, all but the old and frail people were busy.

After making sure to divide work with everyone, the next most important thing for Edward was to restore Daisy's health.

'Oh how I wish there was aspirin in this era, it would make everything easy' Wondered Edward.

However, having a container was a problem which fortunately was solved by finding yellow clay by the swamp.

Yellow clay was a good raw material for making pottery.

At this juncture he needed to first make a simple container. It had a lot of uses and their first basic need too.

Just as Edward was preparing to make pottery, he heard someone shouting at a little distance away:

"You crazy woman, come out and meet me!"
