"Can it sense us?" Ossa inquired, surprised as they were a way off from it.
Woof!
<Yes > the alpha responded before quickly disappearing into the shadows followed by the rest of the pack.
"Huh..." Ossa was left standing there, the wolf rat slowly approaching him.
It abruptly halted.
WHIIP!!
The rat moved its tail like a whip, hitting a shadow wolf that had tried to sneak up on it.
"Its senses are amazing," Ossa exclaimed, as even he did not notice the shadow wolf until it was hit, quickly melting into the shadows.
"Amazing... What rank, wait, army green core!!..." Ossa paused as his mana-sensitive eyes narrowed, allowing him to clearly see the color of the core faintly radiating from the creature's chest. "Peak-tier normal magic beast," he exclaimed, surprised as that was not the strength of a peak-tier creature.
But that was to be expected; demonic beasts were stronger than beasts of the same rank.
