6 Episode 6: Hiding Belle

Arnav and Vicky were sitting in their classroom. It was break before a lecture. Vicky was worried about the accident that happened earlier in morning.

Vicky: are you alright? You didn't get hurt from falling?

Arnav: Nope. I am alright. Did you ask her whether she is hurt?

Vicky: She was talking non stop. How can I find a space to ask her? Such a talkative girl. I could not control but laugh when she cried.

Arnav: Hmm…I should not have shouted at her. That is not her mistake. It was all because of that idiot.

Vicky: Oh…Is that Sanjay?

Arnav: Yes. Varun misguided him and that idiot came like he is gonna hit that girl. To avoid hitting with him she changed her direction. She lost balance in process and thus hit my bike.

Vicky: why Varun did so?

Arnav: That day they were ragging her. She refused to do what they said. May be to take revenge for that.

Vicky: Yay. They are experts in taking revenge. Let them do whatever they could. They will be surely punished for whatever they are doing. It will not be long before they are caught.

In 1st year class, the four of them were listening to the lectures. Shruti was thirsty. She grabbed her water bottle but it was empty. The bell rang and Shruti went out to refill her water bottle from the water cooler. She sees Arnav in the corridor. She immediately returned to the class and takes a book in guise to read. She hides her face behind the book and left classroom once again.Occasionally she will lower the book and to sees where Arnav is. She crossed him while hiding her face by keeping book in sideways.

Arnav noticed it. He throws a weird look at her. She refills the bottle and looked back to gauge her surroundings.

Shruti:(to herself)Thank God. He is gone. Anyways, I still have to be careful. I'll hide my face once again to return. What if he is around? It will be awkward.

She hides her face and start walking back. She was still in daze and lost in her thoughts. Suddenly she bumps into someone. Her bottle cap was loose, so it went off. The water spilled on both of them. She did not see his face…

Shruti: are you blind? Can't you see such big person walking in front of you?

She got shocked when she looked up and saw the face of the person she bumped into. It was ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA. He was drenched. She trembled on this sight.

Shruti: Is that you?

She tries to run but slips on the water spilled on the floor. She falls but a warm palm holds her wrist and pulling her. When she came back to her senses, she wasin Arnav's arms. It was comforting. They look at each other. As if they were in a movie. If not for her current predicament, it was such a romantic moment.

Shruti takes a deep breath to loosen her breath.

Shruti: Actually. sorry .I did not notice you.

Arnav: I know. You were hiding behind the book? You were watching without paying attention on path. Yet you have audacity to ask me whether I am blind.

Shruti: Yes. I was hiding because I was afraid of you. I was worried that you would bite me. And for your happiness, I agree that I am blind. And why are you crossing my path again and again?

Arnav: You first hit my bike, you made me fall. Then you drenched me with water after bumping into me and now you are accusing me of following you? What type of girl you are? Do you not have sense?

Shruti: Look. Mr. Khadoos. You don't have right to talk about me. And also I apologized

Then what is your problem? Don't try to come in my way.

After finishing saying this to him, she run away. Even in hurry she did not forget to pick her waterbottle and book…

Arnav (in anger) : How dare she act like this ?

Shruti comes to the class angrily..

Sid: What happened? You fell into the water tank? Why are you drenched like a fish?

Swa: What happened darlo. Why are you drenched?

Abhi: I think, she might have stopped water tanker lorry with her one hand like the hero of the movies and got water all over her.

Shruti shouts: Aaaaaaaaaaaa

The four of them closed their ears. Sid shuts her mouth with his hands.

Sid: Hello Miss Loudspeaker. What happened? Why are you shouting now?

Shruti: Don't ask me anything. I am angry.

Sid: Angry? Ice cream?

Swa: Good idea.

Abhi: It's my first day and it's my treat.

They go to the canteen.

SCENE-4

They get ice cream and grab seats to consume it. Arnav and Vicky come to the canteen for beverages a well. Shruti sees them as they enters. Arnav glares at Shruti. She hides her face using her dupatta.

Swa: Hey. What are you doing darlo?

Abhi: I think she is trying to cool her anger down.

Swa: See your ice cream is melting. Have it before it is wasted.

Shruti keeps the ice cream in her mouth which was covered by her dupatta. She didn't pay attention and her dupatta became is stained by ice-cream.

Sid: What non sense Shruti?

They laugh on this scene. Vicky notice them on the commotion and move to their sitting area. He dragged Arnav along too. Watching them approach near, Shruti gets up and flew from the scene, followed by Sid.

Vicky: I came to talk to her. Why is she hiding from us? Why did she run?

Swa: I don't know bro. She is acting weird from sometime now.

Arnav smiles on seeing Shruti's act. But no one notice it.

SCENE-5

Shruti and Sid stops at the corridor.

Sid: I am going to take you to a mental hospital. You have gone mad.

Shruti: Do that first. I don't want to be here. It is very risky.

Sid: Tell me what happened you idiot.

Shruti: I want to be away from that khadoos But he is crossing my path again and again. The worst part is, it's always me, who messes up everything.

Abhi and Swadeenta arrive on scene too.

Abhi: A research says if a person crosses your path often, there is 90% chance that he will become your life partner.

Shruti: your research, My foot. Me and that khadoos, together? As a couple. Never ever. I would rather marry you.

Sid and Swadeenta laughs at her antics.

Abhi: In that gap, you teased me, isn't it?

Shruti: You did the same with me. You don't understand my problem Abhi.

Abhi: Tell me What is your problem.

Swa: Sid. I don't have patience to listen to her bak bak. Let's go to the class and make notes. Don't bother about them, they will come and copy it.

Sid: okay yaar.

Both of them leave for class. Shruti narrates all the events to Abhi.

Abhi: So Sanjay is the root cause for the problem.

Shruti: Of course. If I see him again, I will chop him into pieces.

Abhi: I have a plan. (He explains the plan to Shruti)

Shruti: Good idea. We can implement it tomorrow.

Abhi: Adipoli…(super)

They high fives…

SCENE-6

They return to the class room.

By evening, Arnav and Vicky visit their class…

Shruti: Sid See. Khadoos part 1 and part 2 have come here too.

Sid: you duffer. You trapped me too into the trouble. I was with you when you talked bad about Arnav bhai to Vicky. Now I too have to hide.

They use books to hide their faces.

Vicky: Hi guys. We are your seniors. We have planned for a Fresher's party tomorrow for you guys. So we are here to invite you. Please do come. We will have fun.

Arnav: May I know who the class representative is?

A boy points at Shruti.

Arnav and Vicky walks to them. They did not take the books off their faces. Vicky pushes the books down. They pretend as if they are discussing some doubts.

Vicky: Shruti!

Shruti: oh. Karthi Anna! when did you come? I did not notice you.

Sid: Haan bro. We did not notice you.

Vicky:(laughs) Stop your oscar winning acting guys. We are here to invite you to the freshers party.(to Shruti) get the invitation on behalf of your class. And one more thing. Don't try to hide from me. I did not take you wrong. After all you are like my little sister.

Shruti: Is it? You didn't take me wrong? That's so sweet of you karthik Anna. You are no more khadoos part 2.

Sid: you didn't mistake me too. Right?

Vicky: No Sid.. Not at all. You are also like my brother.

Sid: Thank you bro.

They laugh together on clearing their misunderstanding. Shruti sees Arnav staring at her. She hides her face again.
