3 Episode 3: Sweet friendship

Shruti keeps waiting for Sid, after Arnav's departure. Sid arrives in about 5 minutes. Shruti narrates to him about all that happened before his arrival, in order. He listens to her carefully. Then remind her that they shall complain about those street rats if the situation repeats. Letting it go will make the scenario worse

They visits Shruti's house. Radhika(Shruti's mom) and her grandma are happy to see Sid after a long time. They chat about old times and ask about the last four years. They chatted for quite sometime. Sid then makes a call to his mum, Rukmani. In no time both Radhika and grandma snatched the phone away from Sid to relieve their good old times. Shruti makes Sid talk with Karthik through her phone. Karthik exchange contact with Sid. After all these Sid bid them goodbye.

On dinner table, Shruti tells about the reunion with her bestie to her grandpa and dad. They both were thrilled and wish to meet the boy and his family once again.

On Sid's side, Subramanian reminisce about old times and also become happy after the news of reunion. He explains "Their family have been so nice to us. In frustration I told you not to contact them. We should have talked to them. Tomorrow we shall go and meet them". Sid bloomed upon this news.

It was a happy and fulfilling day for both Shruti and Sid. At night they let go of all their worries and slept happily…

On the other side, Arnav could not stop thinking about Shruti whose attitude reminded him of the most important person in his life. In order to divert his mind, he engrossed himself into world of books.

(Arnav's is native of Delhi. Because of his father's transfer, they migrated to Chennai 6 years ago)

When she sees him so flustered and uneasy, Arnav's mum, Jhanvi became worried for him.

Jhanvi: I don't know when will I get my old Arnav. I cannot see him like this. It makes me so sad. I m so worried for his future.

Vividha(Arnav's sister): Give him some space ma. Let him take his own time. I am sure we will get back old Arnav bhai again. He just needs some healing. Time will do so.

Amarnath singh raizada, Arnav's father return back from office. He too reassure Jhanvi that time will make things right. They should not dwell on this very much. It will bring bad luck. On this note, they all have dinner together and departs for their rooms.

Arnav could not sleep. His mind is full of confusion and guilt. He is getting impatient.

He thinks of the one who came into his Life like a rainbow but later on created a storm in his life.

It is VARSHA SINHA…

Flashback:

It was a week before the start of Arnav's college. Arnav and Vicky, who were friends for two years decided to go for a movie. On the way, at a traffic signal, Arnav noticed a beautiful girl in white anarkali suit. She was arguing with an autodriver, yet her charms could not be suppressed. She was like a fine wine, mellow and bitter. It was Varsha.

Varsha: Kya bhai? What are you thinking? U have charged 50Rs more than the amount the metre shows. What is this? It is daylight robbery.

Autowala: All autos charge like this only in the city. Don't you know? Are you new here? Pay me and scram.

Varsha: How dare you? You are stealing people's money this way. I won't allow you. Let me call the traffic police. Then you will get the dose of justice and maybe a little bit common-sense.

Autowala: Not needed. Give me what you wish to (he pleads).

Before she can make the call to traffic police, they come on their own accord and warns the auto driver.

Varsha has a proud smile on her face. She speaks to her sis Vanshika "See how I made him accept his mistake. We are new to the city. So he thought he can cheat us, but we gave him warning. Now he will think twice before cheating prople". Both of them laugh heartily with happiness.

Vicky: Hahaha. Look at this girl's pride…

Arnav: Hmm…Brave girl.

Arnav came back to his senses when his mom came to his room. He was feeling dizzy at the moment. His mother gave him some medicine, when she saw how pale he is. He must be hurting inside

Jhanvi: Arnav beta! Did not u sleep till now? What happened? Not sleepy? Huh?

Arnav: Nothing ma.

He lies in Jhanvi's lap and close his eyes. And vowed to avoid seeing that girl Shruti. She will bring nothing but trouble in his life.

It's morning. A beautiful morning indeed. When Sid arrives at college, he sees Swadeenta at first glance. He parks his bike and comes to Swadeenta.

Sid: Hi! Gud morning.

Swa: Gud morning

Sid: Shruti didn't come yet. Shall we wait here?

Swa: Ok.

They sit on a stone bench in campus garden. Sid asks about her schooling. She answered his queries. Then she sees Sanjay coming from a distance. She got uneasy and immediately gets up.

Swa: I have to go to the class. I can't wait long. You come later with her (Then she departs with a quick pace).

Sid monologued on her get away: What happened to this girl? She was fine just now, then all of a sudden she changed. I don't understand. Shruti arrives when he was pondering on the reasons.

Shruti: Hi da.

Sid: Hi.

Shruti: Has Swadeenta come? If not we shall wait here.

Sid: She has come from different planet I think. She is already in college. I noticed her as I arrived, so I asked her to wait for you with me. She complies at first then suddenly she got up and went to the class. Just like that, no reason.

Shruti: Don't say so. She must have some problem I guess. We shall talk to her later.

At this conclusion they both proceed to the class. The morning session was hectic. They had non- stop back to back classes. Finally they get some relief time during lunch.

Shruti: Sid, I have brought your favourite today. Paati's curd rice. Swadeenta do you know, he is a fan of it from childhood. You too taste it. It is really good.

Swadeenta hesitates …

Shruti: Have it? Don't shy away.

Sid: I love eating her paati's cooking. When we were small, her paati used to feed her. I don't what magic she has in her hands. The food used to be delicious when eating from her hands. I visited her house everyday to eat her cooking from her hands.

Shruti: He always finished my share of snacks everyday too. I used to get nothing.

Sid: Hello! I don't eat much. (to swadeenta) Do you know? She always keeps her mouth busy. Either, eating or talking. She was very fat in past. Totally laddoo.

Shruti: Liar. I don't eat much too swadeenta. He is lying. Don't believe him. And also I was not fat, just chubby. Get your facts around mister.

Sid: (to swa) I will show you the proof. (he gets shruti's phone from her bag) you may have atleast one of your childhood pictures? Let me check.

Shruti tries to get her phone from him. He sprinted away from her. She chased him. Swadeenta laughs on seeing them so harmonious to each other.

Sid: (shows her) See how fat she is.

Shruti: I am not so fat. I was never fat.

Swadeenta: Hmm… You are not fat. You're cute.

Shruti teases Siddharth on this answer.

Sid: You girls always support girls.

Shruti: We girls don't lie.

Sid: Oh God! I can't control laughing. It was very funny.

Swa: Actually I am jealous of you both. How long you have been friends? I wish you both never change and always behave same way.

Shruti: We were friends since we were 1 year old. Tell me about your friends.

Swa: I am not so lucky. I don't have many friends. Not anyone so close. My character was the reason. I was always snobbish. We were rich then. It didn't help my cause. I did not know the real meaning of friendship. I wish I have one like you guys. ( she cries after her wish)

Sid: Don't worry. We are your friends now.

Shruti: We will be always there for you.

Then they hug. And relished the warmth of each other.

Youth is always like that. Carefree and colourful. Sometimes like sunshine, sometimes snow, some times windy or the spring. At times it is like pouring rain or loud like thunder clouds.

Whatever the colour they're always the winner.
