13 Episode 13 : Beach (2)

SCENE-1

The episode starts with Abhi and Shruti having pani puri on beach. By then Sid and Swadeenta has also reached where they were.

Abhi: Hi Swadhu! Hi Sid!

Shruti: Why did you guys came so early?You still have hours left. You can take your sweet time (sarcastically)

Swa: (Looks at Sid and laughs) Actually Shruti. Listen it was like that. She starts narrating what had happened then.

SCENE-2

Flash back :

Sid visited Swadheenta's house to pick her up. The road was blocked by two lorries and he could not move his bike any further. He parked the bike on road side and decided to walk. On his way, a dog in a house barks at him. He got startled and starts running. The dog begins to chase him and he runs around the street over and over again to avoid getting bitten. Swadheenta sees it from a distance. She shouts.

Swa:Sid! Stop. Don't run. Stop.

He did not hear her in his panic. He keeps on running until Swadheenta pulled the dog's collar. He runs for some more distance and stops on not hearing the dog's bark. He turns to see Swadeenta with the dog at a distance. He retreats to her panting, sweating and coughing because of the excessive exercise. The dog barks at him once again.

Swa: Sid! Relax. Don't panic. This dog wont bite. He is domisticated.

She leaves the dog at its owner's house. She welcome Sid inside her house. Sujata has gone out. She poured him water. He choked while sipping it. Swadhu hits his head.

Sid relax for some time to get over his adrenaline rush. After some time passed while both of them were sitting quietly, Swadeenta felt bored.

Swadhu: Are you alright now ?

Sid: Hmm…

Swadhu: Are you afraid of dogs?

Sid: No…No..Actually dogs are afraid of me. Swadhu:(Teases)Oho…. To me it looked different. That dog was chasing you. You did not chase the dog.

Sid: Actually. I chased it. But I ran faster than the dog and so it seemed like the dog was chasing me.

Swadhu: Oh…Optical illusion? Actually that dog is timid. I play with it often. I like it so much.

Sid: Oh. If it is so then I will also love it.

Swadhu: Ohoho…we will see.

She smiles and they leave for beach together.

Flash back ends…

On hearing that Abhi and Swadeenta could not control themselves and laugh uncontrollably.

Shruti: What? Dog chased you? My God! So hilarious. It must have been a sight to watch.

Abhi: No. Shruti get the facts clear. (while smiling teasingly at Sid) He chased it. (he and Swadhu high five)

Sid makes puppy face.

Shruti: Actually both of us(shruti nd Sid) are very afraid of dogs. I mean. Literally…

Swadhu: Is it??(she winks seeing Sid)

Shruti: Yes When we were studying in 5th standard, we went to the birthday party of a friend. It happened while we were returning after the party. I was not paying attention while walking and by mistake I stepped on the tail of a sleeping dog.

Swa: What???(she controls her urge to laugh)

Sid:Haan. The dog began to chase both of us. Sometime during chase, once it caught hold of my trousers

Abhi: Oh God. What happens then?

Shruti: I was petrified. I did not know what to do. I shouted for help and an uncle came and chased the dog out. Sid's trousers were torn in pieces and was not wearable. He came home wearing a towel.

When she reminiscences that she too laughs at the memory.

Sid: You. Miss blabber mouth. Honesty. Did she ask you what I was wearing? You should not have accounted that. I am so going to kill you. You wait. (he hits her head).

Abhi: These stories need more details dude.

Three of them laugh together. Sid is embarrassed. On seeing him so red like tomato, Swadhu started talking to comfort him. He soon pacified

Swadhu: Get pani puri for me too.

All of them have pani puri as they keep on chatting endlessly.

SCENE-3

Arnav was sitting in his house. He feels a bit tensed.

He thinks…" Why I am feeling nervous? I should let my mind relax for sometime. I should go out and have some fun"

He calls Vicky and asks him if he could come. Vicky told that he is outside doing some urgent work and he could not come. So Arnav decides to have this relaxation trip alone.

"I need fresh air",he decided …He proceeds to go to the beach.

SCENE-4

They were sitting and watching the sea waves. They were chatting with zeal.

Shruti: Is it not boring?

Swa: What?

Shruti: Sitting like this and chatting. We do it all day in college. We need some fun. Real fun.

Abhi: Did not you get fun when Sid narrated his story?

Sid looks at Abhi and beats him.

Shruti: Yeah. That was so funny yaar. But I need some more thrill.

Sid: Miss Chatterbox.Tell us what are you planning to do?

Shruti: Why not we play hide and seek?

Swa: What?

Shruti: It will be so much fun. Let's do it.

Abhi: Did you hit your head somewhere? You must have gone nuts.

Shruti: No…Why??

Abhi: Seems like you have gone mad.

Shruti beats him in fake anger.

Sid: I don't know how your mind work. But I don't think it will be a good idea to do so. Look. Here, It Sunday and the beach is crowded. How can we play here?

Shruti: That's no big deal.

Abhi: We are not ready to get beaten up by people. U have to be the catcher.

Shruti: It's OK. I will be the catcher. You all hide. Quick. I will start counting.

Shruti is blindfolded. She searches for her friends and waves the hand before her to catch them. Suddenly she feels someone standing in front of her. She touches him.

Abhi(shouts from behind her) Its Sid.

Shruti: Out. Out.

But the person he has caught did not move Shruti: Why are you not moving? Hey! Talk. Say anything. You are out. I caught you man.

After blabbering she hugs him. She hears him speaking.

Him: What the.

Shruti: That is Mr.Khadoos' dialogue. Why are you copying that?

But he does reply. She realizes something and takes off her blindfold She is shocked to realize that it is Arnav Singh Raizada whom she is hugging. He stares at her angrily. She backs off

By then Sid and Swadeenta come from their hiding place.

Abhi:(To Swadhu and Sid) I told that it was you who was standing infront of her. She caught him. But actually she was caught by him. Now as she said, it is so much fun to watch Watch the scene. Quietly.

Sid: Yes. It is fun. For you actually.Not for us…(he hits Abhi on his head)You duffer. You landed us in a glitch.

Swa: Hey. Yoy know that they always fight. Why did you do that then? Now he is gonna kill her.

They look at them worrying.

Shruti(to herself): Oh Shruti. Once again you have landed your self in trouble Do something before he explodes. (to Arnav)Hello Mr.Senior. Why are you following me everywhere? Don't you hav any work other than following me??

Dont take advantage. I have already asked you to stay away from me.

Arnav: What? Am I following you? Dream on. This is a public place. Anybody can come here And I have other important works than following you. Don't talk too much nonsense. You are the one who bumped into me Apologize to me.

Shruti: What? I hav to apologize? I was blindfolded. I could not see you. You could have moved? Why did not you do that? It should be you who have to apologize to me.

Arnav: What the hell? When did you give eme time. Before I could move away, you pounced on me. You caught me tight and didn't seem in mood to leave me anytime soon. How can I move away? (After recounting that he holds her hand tightly)

Shruti: Don't shout Mr. Raizada. (She was arguing with him again and again)

Swa: Sid. Come. We shall go and take her way from him before crisis befalls on us.

Abhi: Or else he would strangle her.

They pulled her aside. She refuses to budge. Abhi and Swadhu pushed her away from Arnav.

Sid:(To Arnav):Sorry bro. On her behalf.

Arnav leaves after nodding to Sid in acknowledgement.

Sid: Miss Shruti. Why are you turning into Miss Quarrelsome whenever you see him? The mistake was ours. He deserves a apology.

Abhi: Cool down Miss Angrybird. Breath.

Shruti: Everything happened because of you duffer. Don't preach now.

She puffed her cheeks him…

Sid and Swadhu laughed at their antics.
