12 Episode 12 : Beach (1)

The episode starts with Sid and Swadhu buying veggies in local vegetable market. Swadeenta has got three bags of veggies and while lifting them, she noticed it was quite heavy. She got tired soon so she puts one of them down. Sid then moved forward and helps her carry it.

Sid: I will take it. You handle other two bags.

Swadhu: It's ok Sid. I'll manage.

Sid: Keep quiet. Don't be stubborn. Sometimes you should seek help. You always don't need to be strong. I'll bring it. How will you go?

Swadhu: I'll take auto.

Sid: I'll come with you.

Both of them wait for the auto. They waited for half an hour and they could not find any auto.

Swa: Sid. You leave. I'll manage alone.

Sid: How can I leave you alone?

As he said that Swadeenta looks at him probingly.

Sid: I mean how can I leave you in such a situation? The sanskar my mother teach me won't allow me to do this. Hve you decided ow will you go if you don't get any auto for so long?

Swadhu: I guess I'll take bus then.

Sid: By bus? With these bags? Are you out of your mind? Let's wait for auto. Then we will decide if we don't get any.

Swa: Sid. Seriously. U should leave. Your mom will be waiting for you.

Sid: Wait I 'll call and inform her.

He calls his mom Rukmani and informs her.

Sid: I informed my mom. She asked me to drop you at your home. If you don't mind, I'll drop you at home.

Swadeenta thinks for some time. She then decided she should let him. She says OK. They get on his bike. Sid smiles at himself. Swadeenta also feels happy with this situation. A smile bloomed on her face too. They both enjoyed the ride.

SCENE-2

They reach Swadeenta's house.

Swa: Maa. Maa. Come here.

Swadeenta's mom, Sujata peeks from the kitchen wiping her hands in her pallu.

Swadeenta: See who has come.

Sujata: Oh! Welcome. Come inside.

Sid comes inside home holding two bags of veggies.

Sujata: Swadhu! Get those bags from him. He is struggling.

Sid: No problem aunty. Tell me where I have to keep them.

Sujata shows him the place and he proceeds to store them as instructed.

Sid: Aunty. Do you know who I am?

Sujata: Of course. You are Sid. Am I right boy?

Sid: yes. Absolutely right aunty.

Sujata: Everyday Swadhu keeps saying your name. Sid did this, Sid did that. And where is Shruti? The mischievous girl?

Sid: Oh. Swadhu told you everything? Shruti, she is at her home. I saw Swadhu in the market and she was struggling with the bags. We did not get any auto, so I accompanied her home.

Sujata: Thank you so very much, My son. I used to get vegetables before. But now w she does not allow me to go.

Sid: Yes. That should be so Aunty. Why are you tensed? She is a big girl now. She can get it. If you need anything you can call me anytime.

Sujata: That's so sweet of you my son.

She gives him some beverages and cool drinks as refreshments. He decided to leave after some casual chats.

Sujata: Come here often Sid.

Sid: Sure aunty. (to Swadhu) I am leaving Swadhu.

Swa: Bye Sid.

He leave after waving buy to both of them.

Sujata: He is such a nice guy.

Swa: Yes maa.I have never seen a guy like him. He never takes advantage. Such a gentleman. He takes so much care of every single person. He is something different maa…

SCENE-3

Shruti is lazying around at her home. She keeps thinking in daze.

" Why is that khadoos threatening me? It was a mistake only. I didn't mean to damage his bike. But he did not get angry when I said that. Why did he get angry then? It's so confusing. He also does not like Sanjay. Then why he threatens me not to interfere in his matter. Whatever. He means nothing to me. Oh God!! Hereafter I should not see him. But how can it be possible? He is in the same college. Please God make him migrate to another country. That is good for me and him too".

SCENE-4

Shruti and Abhi come to the beach kn Shruti's scooty. They wait for Sid and Swadhu to reach.

Abhi: Let me see some girls here.

Shruti: Nobody will l look at you duffer. See…Everybody visiting is either in group or couples. And rest are families. Moreover no girl likes to see an idiot like you. Have some self awareness.

Abhi: Why? I am smart and have good looks (he checks himself in the scooty's rear view mirror while saying so)

Shruti: You are good. But they may mistake you and me as a couple. After all we came together, that too on a shared ride. And they might be afraid that if they look at you,  I may make them blind.

Abhi: You and me? Couple? (laughs) I don't want such a talkative girl like you as my girlfriend.

Shruti: Abhi.Abhi.Please Abhi.I am dying to be your girlfriend. Please accept me Abhi. (She pleads dramatically to tease him)

Abhi was in loss and looks at her blankly.

Shruti: Chi. I don't want a man like you either. Don't be such a narsistic.

Abhi:(to himself)Ah... Just now. She has insulted me. I have to divert the topic. (to Shruti) Shall we have pani puri?

Shruti: Very good Abhi

U have diverted the topic nicely

Yeah. Why not. I love pani puri. Come lets have some…

Abhi: (to himself) This did devil figure it out.

By then Sid and Swadeenta reached the beach.
