In the depths of space, a ship flies through the galaxy cruising through the stars.
Inside the ship, three frost demons stood facing the window looking out to the galaxy until it turned into a black screen, then a face appeared on it with a tranquil background.

"Hello you three. I see you have made it to the Incolic milkyway in sector 20."

"Yes, sire. We look forward to executing our first task."

"Speaking of which, what is our task?"

"Yes, I suppose now is a good time to fill you in. Your tasks are as follows."

"Find a civilized planet, and "learn" from it. Study its ways and culture and report back occasionally. You will be determining if this planet is worthy of my eyes. Do you understand?"

"... I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by "learn from it, sire. Is it possible to elaborate?"

"Hmmm... Well, it should be fine. You will understand when you get there. Safe travels to you three. Be careful of your brother."

"What was that all about??"

"Who knows. That Kai is a fickle one, that's for sure."

"Whatever the case, I'm sure it must have some significance to study this new planet in sector 20."

THERMO
"It shouldn't be too hard to understand it. And once we do, and we don't like what we see, we can just easily change what it's about and make it fit to our satisfaction. He gave us this mission for a reason. We might as well see what this place has to offer."
In a neighboring galaxy, on the new planet the Supreme Kai said to visit, a girl is on her way to school going over her studies. She often runs into shady people that try to take her off her route to school and every time she dismisses them with a low blow to the stomach and heads on her way again. She makes it to class early as usual and sits in her seat and lays down to relax before the rest of the class is filled in. Her friend taps her shoulder to get her attention for class. After three classes, she goes to lunch and her friend calls her from a nearby table.
Matsuda
"Miu! Come sit here! I saved your seat as always."
MIU
"Hey, Matsuda. thanks as always."
Matsuda
"Seems like you had a day again. Feel like letting off some steam at the training grounds at my place later?"
MIU
"Not today, Matsuda. sorry. Mr. Hamada made me the class rep for the semester. I have no idea why. I suck at the paperwork and leader thing. That's more of your brothers' thing… speaking of whom…"
MATSUDA
"What? You sound pretty peeved at him. What did he do?"
MIU
"I'll tell you later at the club. He seems to be heading here and I do not want to deal with him right now."
MATSUDA
"Oh jeez. Do tell me that class rep thing is his fault. Miu?! … crap. Dammit, Kobi. can't you take a hint at what she likes."
KOBI
"What about me?"
MATSUDA
"You made Miu mad, dumbass. What did you do this time?"
KOBI
"What are you talking about?... oh! You mean being class rep? Yeah, I pulled a few strings for her. Thought she would need a bit of help getting the position she rightfully deserves in our class."
MATSUDA
"Dude, you know she hates standing out in school. She gets enough attention as it is from your nerdy group of blockheads and otakus. All of you bugging her to be in your history club when she's already in the self defence club, now you bug her by making her the class rep?"
KOBI
"Come on! Relax. This will be a great opportunity for her to get recognized for her amazingness in class. Plus it'll keep her distracted from all those fantasies of adventures and aliens."
MATSUDA
"Dude! Again!? Why do you keep finding ways to make her distracted from the life she wants."
KOBI
"All she ever does is fantasize! She needs a realistic goal to set here. So, I figured the best way to distract her is to make as busy as possible while also showing off her intelligence. Smart, right?"
MATSUDA
"You're a manipulative asshole, you know that?"
KOBI
"She'll understand that he won't need all those fantasies when she has the world around her at her disposal."
MATSUDA
"You need to understand that she is realistic. Let her have some escape like every other kid in this school. well, minus you and your nerds."
Outside, Miu goes to sit by herself in the courtyard of the school to eat under one of the trees as Matsuda lectured Kobi to no avail. MIu looks up at the sky as the clouds roll in and start to block out the sun. It was going to be a bad afternoon.
Later that afternoon, with the sky now grey with clouds, Miu finally leaves her last classroom to head to her club when Kobi stops her and blocks her path.
KOBI
"Miu!! Mr. Hamada wanted to… oof!!!! ?!???"
Miu held Kobi against the wall a good few inches off the ground and stared him straight in the eyes with rage and annoyance.
MIU
"Kobi. I swear to the heavens, I will rip out your tongue and force feed it up your ass because I absolutely hate you right now. I am tired from being bothered by everybody all damn day all because you didn't want the job yourself. Now you got ten seconds to tell me why you thought it was a good idea to put me in such an uncomfortable position in a classroom full of ditses and idiots."
KOBI
"… Th-that's exactly why. They're all dummies and idiots that need to be babysat. I knew you would be the perfect person to do the job and the teacher even agreed. Everyone is so stupid that they need the smartest person in the room to help them. And that person is you, obviously."
MIU
"You missed the part where you thought it was a good idea to make that decision without me and my consent."
KOBI
"You wouldn't have agreed anyways. So I said that it would be a nice surprise for you… gah! Ow. Owowow! You're pinching my arm!"
MIU
"Tell mr. Hamada to give you and your club the work. I quit."
Miu lets go of Kobi and he lands on his butt.
KOBI
"AH!! WHAT!? You can't quit! What are you gonna do about your career path later!? You can't stay in the self defence club forever and who knows when my dad's dojo is going to go bankrupt and go out of business. You won't be able to go on anywhere with just your fighting and fantasizing you know. You need to look to reality more."
MIU
"First of all, who the hell said I was going to stay in the club or dojo forever? What makes you think I'm not realistic? And just because I like to be curious about what may be outside of our solar system doesn't mean I'm literally waiting for some foriegn figment to come zap me up into their spaceship and probe me! I like to be by myself because I don't like being around people like you! Get off your high horse and stop trying to change my way of life!"
Miu starts walking off down the hall and leaves Kobi on the floor as he struggles to stand from his obesity. He was now on his feet out of breath.
KOBI
"What!? I didn't do anything wrong, you know! If you tried to interact with people that aren't like my mean brother then maybe people will make you less uncomfortable!"
MIU
"Maybe if you stop being a dumbass I wouldn't be so god damn uncomfortable. So long."
Miu turns the corner and walks out the door outside. She heads to the self defence club room to meet with Matsuda and the rest of the club members. The members see her walk in and she is instantly greeted by a large group of largely built boys that line the entrance of the club and they all bow to her in unison as she walks by.
EVERYONE
"welcome back, manager!!"
MIU
"Hey there, boys. As you were."
MATSUDA
"Miu!! Glad you made it. Dad is gonna be here in a bit. He called me earlier to tell you to hold off on training today. He had something for you to do during his next patrol."
MIU
"He's taking me on a patrol!? Alright!!"
MATSUDA
"Easy there, bad ass. I'm going too. Man, I can't wait to see his car! I've been reading some of his officer trainer manuals and study guides to learn about the Gatemass patrols. I can lend you some of the issues later when he gets here."
MIU
"Great! Thank you! I can't wait to finally be able to take the trainee test next week! Eek!!"
MATSUDA
"Right!! Every e here is pumped for you to join us later, right boys!?"
EVERYONE
"Yeah!!"
MIU
"Hee hee. Alright then. Did he say when he'd be coming over?"
MATSUDA
"He should be here any minute. In the meantime, think you can give me a good sparring partner?"
MIU
"Heh! Bring it, big boy. I'll mop the floor with you."
MATSUDA
"Not literally, okay? I'd like to keep my good looks for when I get a girlfriend later."
MIU
"Pfft!! Yeah okay. I'll try not to break anything useful, like your brain or something."
MATSUDA
"Gimme a break. Hahaha!"
Matsuda and Miu step on a mat and bow to each other then get ready to fight. The others around them rush to a seat to get a view of the action and one of them chooses to be the referee. He raises his hand and signals them to start and Matsuda instantly begins with a rush. Miu steps back and catches his charging fist then tackles him to the ground. He quickly recovers and counters the tumble and throws her off. She skids to the edge of the mat and readies herself for his next attack. He rushes her again and tries to grapple her but misses and topples over nearly missing the edge.
Matsuda looks up to find Miu at the opposite side of the mat hopping around ready to pounce, but she doesn't move from her spot. He knew she was taunting him eagerly waiting for him to attack again. He watches her bounce around and stands, readying himself to attack again. Before he could react, Miu rushes him and tackles his feet. He jumps just in time to dodge, but she back sweeps at him as soon as he lands and trips him. While he falls, Miu takes one final attack, raising her legs in the air and flips on to her feet, landing on his back and knocking the wind out of him. She hops off and lands next to him as he lay on the ground groaning in pain.
MATSUDA
"...urgh. God dammit, girl. I give. But I think you dislocated my shoulder this time."
MIU
"Oops. Sorry, Matsuda. I didn't mean to do that."
Miu steps on his back again and relocates his shoulder, making it pop several times under her foot as she wiggles it around to fix it back in place while Matsuda groaned from the discomfort of it.
MATSUDA
"Ah~hahaha… haah…"
MIU
"You okay?"
Matsuda rolls over and looks at Miu with a good view of her belly under her gii.
MATSUDA
"Well. If I wasn't before I am now. Thanks for the view. Totally worth the ass whooping."
MIU
"Wha!!?"
Miu turns bright red and pulls down her shirt then stomps on his chest, knocking the wind out of him again.
MIU
"You pervert!!"
Matsuda starts laughing while still groaning in pain. MIU walks off the mat in embarrassment and stands against the wall when officer Kosuke, Kobi's and Matsuda's father, walks through the door of the clubroom. He sees Matsuda on the floor struggling to breath.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"… you lost to her again, huh?"
MATSUDA
"Painfully... Everytime… *cough*"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Where's your brother?"
MATSUDA
"Probably heading home today. Think his friends said it got closed down cuz they didn't have a supervisor for them."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Ah… welp. You two ready for your first ride?"
MIU
"Hecks yeah, we are!!"
MATSUDA
"Race you to the car!"
MIU
"What!? No fair! You're closer to the door!!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"*sigh* kids. Heheh."
Miu and Matsuda race to the partial car and see it's a hovercraft from Majority Tech, the rising technical company in the city.
MATSUDA
"Oh my GAWD!!! Dad what the hell is this!?"
MIU
"EEEEEEK!!!!! SHOTGUN!!"
MATSUDA
"HEY! WHAT!?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Calm down you two. They just released them to the authorities last week. So only a handful of them are being used. Only the top officers and commanders are allowed to use them."
MATSUDA
"That is so cool!"
MIU
"Mr. Kosuke! Does that mean you've ranked up?!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Yup! I am officially second-in-command of my unit for the east side. So I got the first privilege to take this baby for a spin as a celebration."
MATSUDA/ MIU
"ALRIGHT!!"
MIU
"Congratulations, Mr. Kosuke!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Mhmm! Be honored! I have chosen you two to be the first to ride the LTZ_0 with me to Mozu at central today."
MATSUDA/MIU
"MOZU CENTRAL PLAZA!!!"
MIU
"Let's go! Let's go!!"
Miu, Matsuda, and officer Kosuke get into the hovercraft and fly off into the sky. Officer Kosuke turns on a monitor that shows the streets below them in a birds eye view.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Well, looks like your brother is missing out today. I can't find him anywhere."
MATSUDA
"Leave him he probably went to mom today, even though he knows it's your turn."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Hmm~... Weird. I promised her that I would take everyone today. I'll have to go get him."
MIU
"...Hmph…"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Hmm? Miu? What's the matter, hun?"
MATSUDA
"He made her mad today and put her in a super uncomfortable position in school."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Great. Now what?"
MIU
"Yours truly is apparently the class president. I'm gonna talk to Mr. Hamada tomorrow and make Kobi do it. He's only second in the whole class after all."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Ah… I see now. You got enough on your plate as it is with junior patrol training and the club. Technically you shouldn't be president of anything else since you're already overseeing that club."
MIU
"Exactly!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"I'm sure Mr. Hamada will change that even if you don't say anything. He may be harsh but he knows what he's doing at least."
MIU
"Hmm…"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Anyway I'm calling your mother to see where he is. What kind of man doesn't keep his promise."
… at the Kosuke eastern dojo. South temple.
MRS. KOSUKE
"… yes he's here. He says he didn't want to go anyway… he told me his club got disbanded by Mr. Hamada for not having enough members. So he's staying home moping over it. Honestly, this boy needs to take Miu's example. It's obvious he won't follow in your footsteps but the least he could do is get off his butt to do something about the house….speaking of, what did Miu do to him this time… he did WHAT!? KOBI!!!"
Back at the hovercraft…
OFFICER KOSUKE
"… Welp… he ain't coming it seems."
MATSUDA
"Not like we wanted him to come anyways, right, Miu?"
MIU
"That's what he gets, and I'm not sorry."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Alright, alright. Let's get the Mozu before the coupon expires. I'll have to invite one of my partners over instead. Anybody you guys recommend?"
MATSUDA/ MIU
"MR. FLUTE!!!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Uh… the transfer commander from the northern district?! Seriously, that green stiff? Alright. Let's head over."
At the police station…
FLUTE
"No, thank you. I need to head straight home today. Sorry."
MATSUDA/ MIU
"Awe…"
FLUTE
"… if you need someone to go with you, I could let my son go with you."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"… wait. You have a kid? Now I'm curious who the mother is."
FLUTE
"…"
MATSUDA
"Dad… well, why not? Wouldn't it be cool to make a friend from up north?"
MIU
"Yeah. Now I'm curious. Lets meet him."
FLUTE
"Sure. he actually happens to be here. I'll go get him for you. It's his first time here in the central city, so I hope he has a good time with you guys."
Flute goes to the back officer and returns with a green man with smoother skin and a tougher build wearing a northern gold and white robe and turban.
FLUTE
"This is Alto. he just came down from the northern temple this morning. I was supposed to show him around town today since he's gonna be living with me for a while. He may look like this but he's 17. Same as your son."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"WHAT!!? What's with that growth spurt!!?"
MATSUDA
"Hey. Nice to meet you. I'm Matsuda Kosuke."
MIU
"I'm Miu Mi. It's nice to meet you."
Alto bows with his fist in his palm at his chest. Miu, Matsuda, and Officer Kosuke do the same out of habit from their dojo.
ALTO
"It's nice to meet you. I go by Alto. Hope we can have fun."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"… are you sure this is your kid??"
MATSUDA
"Dad!"
FLUTE
"He is. Don't be too surprised. He's just like I was when I was his age."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"I really don't see it."
ALTO
"Everyone always says that. Did you do something?"
FLUTE
"Not that I can think of. Anyway, go have fun. I'll see you be at the temple."
ALTO
"Yes, sir. Shall we go?"
MIU
"Alright! The first thing we're doing is getting him new clothes so he doesn't stand out too much."
MATSUDA
"Or stand out more. The guy's a freaking super model giant like his dad, huh?"
MIU
"This is gonna be a blast! You can have the front see in front of me. So you can have more room to sit."
ALTO
"Thank you."
Alto follows Miu and Matsuda to the hovercraft.
FLUTE
"… be careful out there. There's been a lot of reports from the central plaza lately. A few crazies are on the loose so best to keep the kids close by."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Got you. I'll be sure to bring your kid back to you safely."
Officer Kosuke leaves and gets into the hovercraft only to hear the trio acting their age and being loud. Alto was showing off his skills as a temple boy.
Officer KOSUKE
"What!? Hey cut that out right now!!"
MATSUDA/ MIU
"awe~...."
Officer Kosuke
"Don't you "Awe" me, you two! No craziness in the hovercraft! I just got this thing! You wanna pay for damages??"
They drive off as Officer Kosuke gives them an earful on the way.
Outside the city, around late noon, the spaceship finally makes it to the planet's orbit and lands safely in the middle of a military camp. The base was abandoned and desolate.
One of the acrosians steps out and takes a good look around.
PLUTOS
"… Goodness. You'd think people would take better care of this place. Didn't you say you got a good signal of life here, Hypo?"
The second walks out looking at his wrist watch device that showed a blinking light showing their position.
HYPO
"The radar shows there are plenty of life forms nearby. This was just the best place to park the ship for now."
PLUTOS
"Ugh. It doesn't look even remotely comforting."
The last one walks out and flies over them to get a better view of their surroundings.
HYPO
"It looks like most of the population has taken refuge on the other side of the city. We are somewhere called the dead west."
PLUTOS
"Well I can see why. Who in their right mind would want to be here?"
THERMO
"We're just going to leave the ship here for now until we find a place to settle ourselves. For now we should look around and see if there's anything worth noting in the other cities."
HYPO
"There are four other cities near here while the other settlements are across the waters and valleys."
PLUTOS
"In short; too far from here."
HYPO
"Let's split up and check out the nearby ones first. See what they have to offer. I can take the South city. Plutos, you go East."
PLUTOS
"what~? That's the farthest city from here!"
HYPO
"Would you prefer scorching heat or blistering colds?"
PLUTOS
"The east sounds like a nice vacation spot."
HYPO
"Then Thermo can go north and we can meet up at the center called... "Mozah" central plaza?"
THERMO
"I'll head off then. No point in sticking around here any longer."
Thermo leaves for his destination in a hurry.
HYPO
"Right. As inpatient as ever. I'll guess I'll go too, since he has a point. I go lock up the ship first. You can go on ahead, Plutos."
PLUTOS
"Okay. I'll see you soon then. Bye."
Plutos floats away to the east, leaving Hypo at the ship.
Plutos takes his time flying around and takes in the sights of the terrain. Most of it was a long strip of road winding through the valleys and hills on the way to the city.
PLUTOS
(think) '… Ugh. This is so boring I better pick up the pace if I want to get to the entertainment. The city must be huge if it's taking this long to get to it. I can see it in the distance after all.'
Back at the city, in Mozu Central Plaza, the hovercraft parks in front of the mall district parking lot and everyone gets out. Miu and Alto rush out as if high on sugar and start chasing each other around the parking lot faster than the strangers pet rooster.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Why aren't you chasing them?"
MATSUDA
"Like I could keep up with that. You know she's always been faster than me. She would be under your training regiment instead of Mr. Flute's."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Yeah. and she would have to go through the same kind of training you're getting. Her parents would be proud of her right now. Making friends with a northern kid within an hour."
MATSUDA
"Yeah…"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"… Jealous??"
MATSUDA
"Fuck off!"
Matsuda and his dad walk on after Miu and Alto as the two race their way to the main street. Alto grabs a light pole and stops himself to take in the sights.
MIU
"Come on! We don't have the time to take in the sights right now we gotta be part of it!"
ALTO
"Where are we starting?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Well of course it's gotta be the game shop, right?"
MATSUDA
"You know what that means, Miu."
MATSUDA/MIU
"STEP UP MOTION DANCER 5!!!"
ALTO
"Is that a dancing game?"
MIU
"Only the best dance stadium game ever in existence!"
ALTO
"Dancing, huh? Sounds like a blast. Let's do it!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"You kids have fun but don't stray too far from the car alright? Imma go check on those reservations at Kantosu diner."
MIU/MATSUDA/ALTO
"yes, sir."
The trio leave and go to play. Officer Kosuke walks off to his destination through the parking lot.
Above, Plutos nearly makes it to the city when a helicopter suddenly appears behind him. He turns around to see it better and notices two people inside of it. They seemed to be talking to each other in panic. Plutos slows down and hovers in front of the helicopter to listen in only to scare them and cause them to spin out of control. Plutos moves out of the way just in time for the blades to sweep past his nose.
PLUTOS
"Now that's dangerous. Hm?"
Helicopter doesn't seem to be gaining any control, as it heads straight for the Mozu plaza's central tower.
PLUTOS
"Oh, that is very dangerous!!"
The helicopter crashes and destroys the top of the tower, knocking it off and sending it plummeting down towards a park behind the tower. The crowd below scatters about as fast as possible to escape the chaos as plutos hovered overhead cringing from the site of the mess he made.
Officer Kosuke rushes back to his patrol car and sees the damage made, then sees Plutos hovering near it.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"What… the hell is that!? Hey!!"
Plutos jolts and looks around to finally find Officer Kosuke looking up at him in horror and disarray after calling to him. Plutos not knowing what else to do, flies away from the scene knowing he would be in trouble if he stayed there.
Meanwhile, Miu, Matsuda, and Alto rush back out of the arcade to see the chaos since they were the closest. Alto and Miu rush off to the scene without a word straight into the falling rubble, grab a child and sprint to the other side with a sliding finish. Matsuda rushed to his father down the street and saw the shadow of Plutos flyby. He looks up and sees plutos taking off. His father drives up next to him and makes him get in and they chase after plutos.
MATSUDA
"Dad! Who or what is that!?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"I don't know, but intend to find out. Hold on, I'm changing modes from road to free-rome."
MATSUDA
"Wait, what!?"
Officer Kosuke lifts a lid on the dashboard and hits a blue switch and the patrol car suddenly floats higher into the air and picks up speed. Plutos saw they were catching up to him at the pace he was going and groans in annoyance as he flies faster and ducks into a narrow alleyway to lose them. The patroller flies over the alley and the screen shows a full visual of the alley to Matsuda and his father. They can see him from his horns to his fleshy rat like tail as he flies through.
MATSUDA
"… what the hell is this guy? He's kind of small like Miu but he looks like a bronze devil."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"I… I don't know what to tell you. I've never seen anything like him before. And he's even flying without a hovercraft?? How is that even possible?"
Plutos looks behind him, then looks up at them and notices that they've been staying on his trail. He goes wide eyed and suddenly glows a golden color as he picks up speed again. His turns become sharper as he leaves a trail of light behind him.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"What the..!?"
Plutos's light trail had made them blink for a moment, but it was enough for them to lose sight of him in that instant. Plutos somehow ended up far above them without them noticing and flew away from Mozu plaza while they were distracted.
Meanwhile in the plaza, Miu and Alto were with the other officers and the pedestrians they helped waiting for Matsuda and officer Kosuke. They return and instantly start to talk to the other units about their strange chase with the foreigner they saw. The others couldn't believe what they were hearing about the chase and Officer Kosuke, now irritated by the scoff he was getting from the mozu plaza unit, pulls out the monitor from the hover patroller and shows them the recording, then chews them all out for not watching the recording before accusing him of making up stories since all of the patrol monitors are synced to show the same recordings.
After officer Kosuke's gripe with the other officers, he and Matsuda go to Miu and Alto and they leave for the day in the hover patroller. On their way, Matsuda explains to the two what they saw.
MIU
"You can't be serious. Some rando just shows up out of nowhere and crashes the chopper into the building!? And he was flying!?"
ALTO
"Now I see why the other officers reacted the way they did."
MIU
"That doesn't give them a reason to not do their jobs properly. Anyway, do you think he did it on purpose to terrorize the city?"
MATSUDA
"If that's the case, they did a pretty good job of it. Check this out. The recording of the chase is already on air. The dude's super freaking weird looking. Now I know there are some crazy looking guys in our school with tails and shiz, but nothing comes close to that."
MIU
"No kidding… look at that tail! The anthromorpha tribes can't even compare to this guy!"
ALTO
"He looks like a little kid though. Look how small he is. Kind of like the summer south kids from Recks high in Palska."
MATSUDA
"You think so too! Those guys are freaking ruthless!"
MIU
"But if we know one thing about Palska people… it's that they never run from a fight they've caused. They make them worse. This guy just flat out booked it the moment he noticed you, right. He can't be a Palska person."
ALTO
"Yeah that's true. Not even the sleazy types from Palska miss the chance to see the chaos unravel in front of them. Who is this guy?"
MATSUDA
"And how is he flying like that without a hovercraft or jetsuit??"
ALTO
"Oh, that I can answer. He's using a high concentration Chi energy to float. He's not technically flying but falling slowly while using the propulsion of the energy that he shoots from his body to make him move in a set direction of his choice."
MATSUDA
"Whoa! Back up a minute! What does that even mean!? Explain from the beginning! What's this Chi energy thing!?"
ALTO
"My dad explained to me that it's the Energy one is born with that allows us the ability to move when we think. The stronger your Chi, the greater strength your body has. Chi circulates through the body like blood through your veins, only it flows from the brain instead of the heart. I think the school explains it as circuit nodes in the brain? Anyway the more you have the stronger the body. And its quantity grows over time. Though, some gain more than others depending on your training methods and where you apply most of your brain power. Say a CEO is in a bind and the people surrounding him have more physical attributes due to the chi they've naturally collected over time from fighting while his is mostly stored in his head. He may not be able to deal with them head on but if he trained his body well enough, he could easily out thing and out maneuver them all without taking a single hit or even have the need to fight back."
MATSUDA
"… sounds like Miu. She may not be as strong as the guys in the club, but man is she fast. All our strength combined can't match that girl's speed and reflexes."
ALTO
"Exactly! Yeah! The same goes for this guy. He's basically moving so fast that he seems like he's flying but he's just falling with style. But that kind of control takes years for even my people to master at old age. Only a handful of us can do this and for a really limited amount of time enough to make good use of distance. But this… well he is so consistent… and he's even picking up speed as he goes without so much as breaking a sweat with how much force he's putting into this technique. Just how much power does this guy have, exactly?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"All I want to know is if we should be worried about a potential threat to the city. And so far it sounds like we got our answer just from that alone. I can't just jump to conclusions, but this is way too risky to leave alone. Alto, I'm taking you back and dropping you off at the station with Matsuda. I'll take Miu home to the dorms."
MATSUDA
"Wait a minute! You can't seriously be thinking of letting her stay there alone right after this are you!? It's way too dangerous out there. And there might even be more of those guys out there just waiting to cause trouble! We should take her to the temple. I'm sure…"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Matsuda, you know I can't do that. As much as I really~ want to right now, I can't take her to the temple yet without you-know-who riding both our behinds for that and making us lose the temple all together."
MATSUDA
"Urgh!! Why!? Why are they making her stay in that shit hole of a dormroom knowing what she goes through!? I just don't get it! She goes through enough as it is, and the fact that we all just witnessed that catastrophe should give them all the more reason to give her a more stable and safe environment with people around! Not some rundown old building that looks like it's about to get demolished in the next few months!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"I know dammit! But if we do that now, I won't be able to put her in the team later and all of her hard work and effort to get in will be wasted! BOTH options suck, but it's either help her with her dreams or help her live as a house maid just to get by! I can't do that to Miu. she has to care for herself. That's why we let her into the self defense club right? So she can stay her strong and bright self? Ain't that right, Miu?"
MIU
"… yeah… and when they see what I can do, they better pray I don't go for their money first."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Atta girl! You better kick some major ass, you hear?"
MIU
"YES SIR!!!"
Officer kosuke drops Matsuda and Alto off at the station and leaves to drop Miu Off at her apartment near her school.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Hey. you stay strong, alright? I'll come get you tomorrow so you can be part of the training test and show off your skills. Gotta prove you haven't just been wholed up in this place like Kobi doing nothing but thinking all day and not showing off any of that smart."
MIU
"Humph! The second anyone tries to compare me to that piglet is gonna be the first to have my foot giving them a new lip work."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Atta girl! You tell who's boss! I'll see you tomorrow, alright? You stay safe."
MIU
"You too, mr. Kosuke."
Miu watches as Officer Kosuke drives off down the road and vanishes around the corner. Miu then sighs coldly and the spark and fearlessness in her face become empty, tired and somber from a long day of oddities and nonsense. Her body flops as if the energy she lost was deflating her as she walked off to the rundown building, up the outer stairway, and unlocks a worn out door and walks inside. She takes off her shoes, hangs up her backpack, and walks to her kitchen until she notices her window was open. She only dowels and shuts it back. With it being a swing-in window with a hook latch, it would be easy to get robbed from even a neighbor if she had any. Or more specifically the landlord.
Thinking this, she decided to look around her apartment to find her cooking pot, that she got from the Kosuke family, gone. She stomps down to the landlord's office to grab a slip until she sees the light on with the pot sitting on the desk in front of someone standing by it. The landlord walks out from the back and gives the person the pot as if he was gifting it to them. He soon sees her glaring at him in the window and he goes pale and backs away. The person he was giving it to looks at him confused then sees her standing at the window. She didn't recognize him and the person seemed modest enough. She walks into the office and sits in one of the seats.
MIU
"Hi, Mr. Enjou. Don't mind me. I just need to make a report about a break in in my apartment and seeing my birthday gift missing from the kitchen. Any clues?"
The stranger looks at Miu confused and curious as to why she was in the room with them.
LANDLORD
"Now now, kid you shouldn't be in this office…"
MIU
"You mean the landlord's office that clearly says pawn shop on the front door with a shit crafted sticker on the back of the sign? Oh I'm sure I'm in the right place. It's probably not the right time though, now is it?"
LANDLORD
"What… What are you talking about? Making such…"
MIU
"'Baseless assumptions. Now leave your making my business look like a playground.' Just how many times are you gonna tell me that line? Or maybe you'll tell me 'get out of my shop or I'll call the officials on you for disrupting my business.' When clearly what you're doing is illegal and your poor customer here is clearly none the wiser."
The room goes quiet and the stranger looks at the landlord and glares at him in concern.
LANDLORD
"Get out of my office, you little twat!!"
MIU
"Give me back my pot and I won't send this recording to patrol officer Kosuke and get you arrested."
LANDLORD
"What!!? Stop talking nonsense and get out of my shop, you brat!!"
MIU
"Didn't you just say it was an office a minute ago? Give me back my cooking pot that your customer is in the process of buying from you illegally."
STRANGER
"Actually, you know what? I was just leaving. I don't need this pot. I can go get one from a more stable location."
The stranger leaves and goes to a car to drive off.
LANDLORD
"You!! You little…!"
Miu grabs her pot from the desk and walks away with it to the door.
LANDLORD
"HEY!! You're not going to call them right!? You know you wont have anywhere else to go if you do, don't you!? You need this place you know!"
MIU leaves ignoring the landlord's cries and walks out to go back to her apartment. She pots the pot in her cabinet and locks it with the other items that had been subjects of theft. She sighs in disgust and decides not to bother eating and simply goes to bed hoping that she can lose the burdensome tasks she needs to deal with at school. Her thoughts soon trail off to the incident in Mozu Plaza. The stranger from the monitor had completely filled her thoughts in just a few seconds and brightened her mood with curiosity.
MIU
(think) '… what exactly was that guy? He looked about as tall as me. Like a little devil? I wonder if I can meet him one day. See if he can take me out of this messed up place for a day… that would be fun, wouldn't it?"
"… What would??"
Miu sits up in her bed and looks at the wall behind her to find the strange bronze and pink figure lying down behind her against the wall tucked snuggly under her covers looking up at her with bright pale grey eyes, tired and curiously staring back at her.
