4 FOUR
The teacher stood in front of Miu in a cold sweat and chills running down his back. Miu was staring at him with a voided gaze overflowing with tears that frighten him, but the teacher had to keep his composure in order to figure out what could make such a bright and quiet girl like Miu look like she was ready to take his head.
TEACHER
"M-Miu?? Is there something wrong? You don't seem well."
Miu doesn't answer him and looks to the floor. She didn't seem to know either. The teacher finally notices her desk and his blood runs cold. He could see the vulgar words carved into her desk from where he stood and saw the seat covered in someone's lunch. He knew the term of being made a "target" but he didn't think she would ever get made into one on a whim. He knew a few students that had a habit of targeting those that got on their nerves. Even he and other teachers have become victims of it. But why Miu? If anything would get their attention to her, it would be her good natured personality she showed, or her good grades that could compare to the rest of the class. The teacher would be careful not to make her be the center of attention to make sure things like that didn't get on anyone's list of "targets". He couldn't think of anything that would warrant such behavior. He looks at the class and sees the whole room whispering and staring at them. He couldn't say anything without making a large scene out of it and for some reason, he couldn't find the one he felt responsible for it at their desk.
The teacher finally decides he should quickly get Miu out of the room. He goes to his desk to grab a hall pass and hands it to her. He then whispers to her.
TEACHER
"Go to the nurses office and wait there until class is over. All call Mr. Kosuke to pick you up, alright?"
Miu nods and leaves the room with the note. As soon as the door closes, he goes to the phone at his desk and starts dialing some numbers, he calls the maintenance to get the desk, then calls the nurses office to let them know Miu was coming. He looks up at the room and hangs up.
TEACHER
"... Why is no one in their seats yet?"
The class rushes to their seats and goes quiet with everyone's head down as if they knew something. The teacher instantly saw this as a bad omen, but went on teaching the class.
Meanwhile…
Miu walks through the halls of the school to get to the nurses office. Every hall monitor that she passed made way for her to walk as if silently sneaking around to avoid death. Everyone she passed was afraid of her now. No one would speak when they noticed her and simply watched her as she passed them until she finally made it to the nurses office. The nurse nearly falls out of her seat from seeing her dead expression and hesitantly takes her note and sends her to a bed to rest. The nurse explains to her that she was informed of her situation and tells her to stay in the office until officer Kosuke arrives. Miu takes the bed by the window and shuts the curtains around her and lays down to think.
MIU
"The words… monster, huh? Not a single person in this school should know about this except for Matsuda. And he doesn't know exactly what I really am."
Miu covers herself with the blanket and lets her body relax.
MIU
"I need to calm down and figure out what made that group in the school suddenly target me. They rarely target anyone nowadays, and I've never once met any of them before. So this makes no sense at all."
Some students enter the room and disrupt her thoughts.
"Gods, she's not here."
"Yeah. I guess we missed her. Better look around to see if we can find those pads."
"Uh. but we still need to wait for those painkillers. Help me distract myself from the pain please~."
"Jeez… well, I've been hearing a rumor lately about a new target this morning."
"New target? I thought those guys quit once people stopped looking for them."
"Apparently, someone purposely got their attention to get someone else out of the school."
"Why?? Who would be so cruel?"
"I don't know who it is but people have been saying a south devil is in the school and they're trying to get them in trouble."
"AH!!?"
"Shh!! Anyway don't you think they would have done something by now if that were true? I mean the southern side is pretty rowdy so anyone from over there would be making a scene by now."
"That's true. What if they just want to lay low though?"
"This sort of thing would be happening if they were trying to lay low with that kind of attention."
"Yeah. That's why this is so weird. Should we tell the teachers this might be a set up for something?"
"Idiot. If we get involved we may end up the new targets."
"Oops. What do we do? What if someone innocent ends up like the last incend?"
"Don't talk about that! That's taboo!"
"Yeah but…!"
Miu gets out of bed and startles the students in the room. She walks out of the nurses office and heads down the hall.
"Th-that's the target!!"
"Oh crap…"
Miu takes her time to wander the halls and clear her head. Her complexion was back to normal after hearing the girls talk about the rumors. Now she just needs to find the culprit, since she's not the only one that doesn't think this makes sense. She walks around the corner to get to the main office of the school when she notices the siren lights as she passes the door. She could see Officer Kosuke arguing with Matsuda outside. Officer Kosuke was holding him against the door of the patroller enraged. Miu rushes outside and overhears them as she goes to stop them from fighting.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"What the hell did you think is going on!? Miu is in trouble because of this shit and now we have to find somewhere for her to hide!! Did you ask me to keep her at the house for as long as possible!?"
MATSUDA
"I don't know what's happening either!"
MIU
"Mr. Kosuke!?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Uh… Miu?! What are you doing out here!? You should have stayed in the office until I got you!"
MIU
"I was actually on my way to the teachers lounge. I wanted to make sure I got my homework and class prez stuff situated with Mr. Hamada.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Ah… oh. Okay. anyway are you okay?? Nothing extreme happened right?"
MIU
"If having my desk wasn't bad enough the rumors around the whole first year section of the campus is in uproar. How can I not be okay when literally everyone knows I'm the target already? I just got here, for crying out loud.
OFFICER KOSUKE
"I know. Matsuda told me you didn't want to go to the club today."
MATSUDA
"They were the ones that told me what was happening but we didn't think it was that bad already. That's just too fast to be out of boredom for those guys. Just what the hell is happening?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Anyway I need to find your brother too. He has a doctors appointment this afternoon and I gotta bring him back with me. He wasn't home so he must have come to school today and forgot."
MATSUDA
"Holy crap, are you serious?? We got enough problems without him being stupid."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Yeah, well. That's just him. Anyway, we need to get going. Matsuda, take Miu to the principal's office and just hang there until I come get you."
MATSUDA
"Uh. yeah, sure."
Officer Kosuke rushes into the school, leaving Miu and Matsuda by the patroller.
MATSUDA
"Uh… we should go."
MIU
"You're still uneasy around me, huh?"
MATSUDA
"... *sigh* Honestly, I don't think I'll ever be able to get used to you for a bit after that face you gave me earlier. But you're still you. That won't change right? Still that dreamy girl that likes to fantasize about the universe outside of this small patch of land?"
Miu blushes a bit from his words.
MIU
"Shuddup. There's nothing wrong with dreaming."
MATSUDA
*smiles* "Right? Come on. Let's get to the office for now."
They walk into the school through the front and head to their destination when Kobi suddenly runs into Miu and they topple to the ground.
MIU
"URGH!!? Ah-how~... Kobi!? What the frick!?"
MATSUDA
"Kobi!? So you are here! Dad is looking for you, dumbass!"
KOBI
"Ugh. oh! Matsuda! Just in time! We need to go and leave her here. The transporters are gonna get her soon! So we can be safe!"
MATSUDA
"What!? What the hell are you saying!?"
KOBI
"You know that rumor going around? What if Miu really is a monster like they say!? We'd be in just as much trouble just for knowing her and we would get targeted too! So-!"
MIU
"Get off!"
Kobi looks down and sees Miu under him. She was very much pissed at this point. His face turns pale and he quickly gets up and crawls to Matsuda and hides behind his legs.
KOBI
"AAAH!!! D-don't touch me! Get away from me, you freak!"
Matsuda kicks Kobi and makes him roll down the hall.
MATSUDA
"FUCK OFF!! YOU LITTLE SHIT! Are you out of your mind right now!? The fuc are you doing here!?"
KOBI
"What the hell are you doing!? Kicking me out of nowhere!?"
MATSUDA
"It's not!! You're supposed to be home for your appointment! The fuck are you doing here at School!?"
KOBI
"Well…!!
MATSUDA
"And what the fuck is your problem, running into people like that!? You act like something was chasing you!!"
KOBI
"T-there is!! Some super white weirdo was chasing me just now! I've never seen him before but he was wearing our jacket so must have been from a jock club or something but he suddenly started chasing me out of nowhere! You gotta save me!"
MATSUDA
"Huh??? Are you retarded!? Urgh. fuck this. I'm calling dad. Your stupid ass is in some serious shit so stay there!"
KOBI
"But…! N-no! We gotta turn her in!! Before things start getting to us!!"
Kobi grabs Matsuda's arm and starts yanking on him in panic.
MATSUDA
"GET OFF ME, DUMBASS!!!"
Miu looks back at the door and sees people flying in their direction. She quickly pulls on Matsuda and yanks both boys out of the way as the people bust through the door to the other side of the hall next to Miu and the boys. A short, white figure in Miu's gym outfit hovers in after them and lands just in front of the door with his arms folded over his chest. His face seemed as blank as a canvas minus the purple streaks on his cheeks. Miu looked at him dumbfounded why Matsuda and Kobi were petrified with fear.
Plutos tilts his head and drops his arms to crack his neck and shoulders. His tail rises when he sees Miu with the boys. Then he notices Kobi shaking and holding on to Matsuda, who was holding his phone. He finally notices Miu holding Matsuda's sleeve on his other arm. He then looks at the guys he threw into the building and had a rough idea of the scenario.
PLUTOS
"Ello~. Sorry to disturb your conversation. But something unpleasant came up and I wanted to find the cause of it. With that said…"
Plutos points to Kobi and Kobi nearly jumps out his skin and hides behind Matsuda.
PLUTOS
"May I implore that I take that one off your hands for a moment?"
Kobi cowers behind Matsuda while he and Miu stared at him dumb founded. Matsuda finally grits his teeth and gets a question out.
MATSUDA
"... who are you? And why do you want my brother?"
PLUTOS
"Hm? Your brother, is he? Well this is quite problematic, but I suppose this makes it a bit easier to explain. You see those three there?"
Plutos looks at the people he sent into the building who are now beginning to wake up. They look up at Plutos and instantly begin to cower in their place. Matsuda and Miu look at them and recognize them as Kobi's former club members.
PLUTOS
"I overheard something they were worried about and went to ask them about it, but they only saw me and ran after dropping this."
Plutos pulls a carving knife from his pocket covered in wood shavings.
PLUTOS
"I simply thought I should return it at the moment before realizing they were plotting something devious, so I intended to interrogate them about this. Since he is your brother, I suppose it's best that you do the honors instead."
Plutos throws the knife at Matsuda's feet and puts his hands in his pockets. Matsuda picks up the knife then looks at Miu who now has dilated eyes of rage. She made a connection and she was very sour about it. Her grip on Matsuda's sleeve tightened and he could tell she was mad at Kobi for this. He yanks his arm out of Kobi's grip and picks up the knife then looks at Kobi who was sweating bullets from almost every pore. The dots finally clicked in his head after seeing Kobi's guilty face.
MATSUDA
"... You didn't answer my question earlier. Who are you?"
PLUTOS
"Mm? My name is Plutos. An east island traveller. I just moved here recently."
MATSUDA
"Eh?? E-east… you're front the east Islands?? The hell…? … well, alright. I'm sorry but we'll be dealing with him and his friends here if you don't mind."
PLUTOS
"Not at all. … though before I forget…"
Plutos removes his coat, then folds it neatly and hands it to Miu.
PLUTOS
'Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. You really saved me from a scolding then. I didn't think I would ever get to see you again, Madam, but here you are. Though under strange circumstances, I am grateful nonetheless."
Plutos winks at her and Miu finally wakes from her confusion.
MIU
"Uh!! Oh! S-sure, no problem. What are you doing here exactly?"
PLUTOS
"Well after I went home, I found some very interesting places and recognised the logo on the coat you lent me that day. I thought I could find you here so I was trying to ask these fellows where to find you. Though unsuccessful, they led me to you nonetheless. Talk about a lucky strike at fate, yes?"
MIU
"Uh.. y-yeah. Sure. if you say so."
PLUTOS
"Well, I did what I came to do. So I'll be leaving now. Oh! Also. those boys there seem to be up to something mischievous. It isn't any of my business though. Bye bye now."
Once Plutos is out of the door, Kobi tries to sneak away but Matsuda grabs him by the collar and stops him from leaving.
MATSUDA
"Oh, you are so gonna die when we get home, Kobi. I'm sure Mom is gonna have one hell of a looong talk with you later with dad."
Matsuda calls officer Kosuke and tells him everything that happened. Not long after Officer Kosuke was where they were. Miu was staring daggers at the three Plutos sent into the building as they sit on the ground on their knees shaking in fear. Matsuda Was sitting on Kobi who was whining to be released. Matsuda waves at Officer Kosuke who was as red as a tomato with rage. Everyone makes their way to the principal's office and explains what was going on with the bad rumors and thankfully everything was cleared at the end of the day.
MIU
"Now that's left are the rumors. It's gonna take a long while to cool my class down since he's in that room too."
MATSUDA
"That's probably where it actually started. It's probably just as bad in the other class of his club members. What a hassle this turned out to be."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Look on the bright side. At least you'll never see that idiot and his cronies again after this. And you got it all resolved in less than a day thanks to the stranger that you found Miu. Where did you ever get a chance to meet that guy anyway?"
MIU
"Uh…! He was around the apartment complex. I found him lost in the dark one night when I couldn't sleep and thought it was weird he was in the neighborhood. Of course I wasn't gonna let him into the room, but I couldn't let him stay lost so I helped him find his way to Mozu with a map and lent him my spar coat since it was pretty chilly outside."
OFFICER KOSUKE
"*sniff* Miu~... you're such a good girl, Miu! Why can't that boy see you for the beautiful girl you are!"
MATSUDA
"Oh Yeah! That's right! How the hell did he find out about you being different in the first place?! And why did he do that after knowing you for so long!? He was the idiot that introduced us in the first place!"
MIU
"He was probably eavesdropping on last night's conversation. But, anyway, what's done is done now. We'll have to make sure this problem fixes itself soon."
MATSUDA
"... So, that Plutos guy. He seems to like you a lot despite you having met only once."
MIU
"Eh!?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Hell, I actually want to meet the guy. An actual East Islander?! Man, Miu! You hit the damn jackpot! Maybe he'll ask you out! I say you take the opportunity."
MATSUDA
"DAD!!!"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"What?? Ooh~..."
Later that night…
At the Kosuke residence, Matsuda and Miu are in the basement playing games together while Kobi Was forced to sleep in the attic for the next few days. He got a good earful and a few hits to the back for the trouble he caused at school in just one day. Miu has now lost her third game in a row and is more or less relaxed about it, but not necessarily happy. Matsuda doesn't feel too good about beating her so many times either so due to his subconscious of knowing she's not normal but at least she's relaxed.
MATSUDA
"Wow. you really suck at these don't you?"
MIU
"Shuddup."
MATSUDA
"Pfft! Heehee. … you know I'm actually kind of curious about what makes you so different from everybody else here. I mean you do everything any normal kid does. You have fun with a lot of the things you do…"
MIU
"You sound like you're trying to convince yourself of something."
MATSUDA
"Probably… but I really do still want you around after all of this is settled. I hope we can at least keep you in the area again so we can stay close. That way you can still have a friend that's willing to stay by your side for the longest."
MIU
"..."
MATSUDA
"That being said, I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ARE! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND I'M GONNA PROTECT YOUR SMILE NO MATTER WHAT!!"
MIU
"Geh!! You gotta yell like that!?"
MATSUDA
"Well I gotta make sure I get my point across. Otherwise you'll just have that dark look on your face forever without ever seeing that. I may not have known you as long as that dumbass did, but I at least know enough to get how you think when you don't trust something anymore. I want you to trust me at least."
Miu stares at Matsuda for a long while then looks down at her hands and fiddles with her nails for a bit.
MATSUDA
"You don't have to open up to me right now, but I hope you can understand that I'll do my damndest to stay by your side and help you the best I can to keep you smiling."
MIU
"... yeah. I hope I can hold you to your word one of these days."
Miu lays her head on Matsuda's shoulder. Matsuda stiffened up from the sudden contact but let it happen since he felt happy about it. A bit later, Officer Kosuke goes down to get the two of them to bed only to find them sleeping on the couch they sat on leaning on each other. He snickers a bit then goes to wake them, until he sees Miu holding his arm with tears falling from her eyes as she sleeps. Her expression made his heart ache. He hesitates for a moment then finally decides to give them a large blanket to share and leaves them to sleep for the night.
Miu wakes up moments later to find the blanket on her and Matsuda who still had his glasses on. She gets up and carefully lays him down on the sofa, then removes his glasses and sets them on the table in front of him before leaving the basement to go to her room for the night. She was blushing all the while on her way to her room when she heard a sound from the other side of the door before she entered. Miu opens the door to peek inside to find Plutos sitting on her beanbag comfortably looking through her homework until he notices her. Plutos smiled at her as if he didn't have a care in the world. Miu slips into the room and shuts the door carefully so as to not disturb anyone in the house.
PLUTOS
"Welcome back, Miu."
MIU
"... yeah. What are you doing here again?? Also-."
Plutos raises his hand to stop her from speaking more.
PLUTOS
"Before you ask, I really was just wondering around when I saw those boys being mischievous. I was trying to get a good feel of what a school looked like, and you have no idea how much of a pain it was to go to my ship just to grab some shoes."
MIU
"Pfft. You could have just wondered around the rest of the city while you waited for me."
PLUTOS
"Had I done that, I never would have found that little twat and his friends scheming."
MIU
"... yeah. Thank you for that. You really didn't have to, though."
PLUTOS
"I really didn't but the person I owe a favor to got into a ploy that should never have happened in the first place, and it made me upset. I had to go out of my way to save you so I don't have to try and find you again. It was annoying enough to hunt you down last time and I don't intend to let it happen again. So from now on, I'm going to be your friendly neighbor."
MIU
"... how??"
PLUTOS
"You have no idea what I had to go through all day. All the information I had to pull up about the East Islands, and their notorious "hospitality" to those outside of their domain. They sounded like my home planet. it was disgusting to think about but it helped build my persona to get this place and settle for the time being. Urgh the struggles of a sloth are painful."
Miu couldn't help but laugh at Plutos' complaining as he spoke to her.
PLUTOS
"I'm glad you find my struggles funny."
MIU
"I… I'm sorry. I just never thought you'd be so open and call yourself a sloth of all things."
PLUTOS
"Well, I'm not going to be prideful like my brother, Thermo. He has more of a shick up his rear than a lion would with his harem."
MIU
"PFFT!!! Oh my god. Where do you come up with these things??"
PLUTOS
"Be grateful I made sure to Look up quite a bit of intel before coming back to look through that "school" of yours. This internet is almost as useful as the ship's AI programming. It's actually quite interesting how fast intel can travel through the space given to it."
MIU
"So wait. If you're going to be using the internet from now on what do you even need me for?"
PLUTOS
"I told you already. You can help me find the secrets of this planet. There are things in this world that even the internet network can't tell me because It's intelligence network is only as good as those that make up it's content. Sometimes exploring the environment is the best way to gain more information on what you seek. And what I seek is obviously far more than those that live on this planet can tell me."
MIU
"Can't you do that yourself though, or with your brothers?"
PLUTOS
"I could but that wouldn't be any fun since I know them already. My mission doesn't just mean I need to know what this world is about. I need to meet people. Experience their life here. I had a terrible start so I'll need to start smaller than what I intended. Minor set back though, so it's not that big of a problem."
MIU
"Says the guy that caused a massive accident."
PLUTOS
"That miraculously didn't kill anyone. I didn't mention this before but I did save those pilots."
MIU
"Huh!? Wait, they lived!?"
PLUTOS
"Do you honestly think I wouldn't react to that sort of situation. I saw the local news article recently and saw they recovered from their comas. They simply suffered some minor head traumas that put them out for a while. They also found the breaker that malfunctioned in the helicopter they were in. it was only a test pilot of a new model they wanted to use. But no one got hurt and everything was fine."
MIU
"But what about those in the building!? What happened to them??"
PLUTOS
"No one was inside from the eighth floor up. Apparently the rest of that building is often reserved for the higher class of people and they didn't have any events going on that day, luckily. Though the cas is still ongoing, there are still no reports on what actually happened. So now, they are simply waiting for the pilot's confession."
MIU
"Don't forget, you were still there."
PLUTOS
"That my dear, is where it gets even more frightening."
MIU
"Huh??"
Plutos pulls a little disk from his pocket and presses a button on it. A small screen hologram as clear as glass appears on it and shows a broadcast of a local new network that was recording that day. It was a reporter from another Island speaking in a different language. At the upper corner Miu could see the helicopter taking off from its destination and circling around the main tower for a while. She then sees Plutos fly in out of nowhere and the chopper suddenly spazzes out when he stops to look at the pilots. The impact scars everyone and the camera drops and stops recording.
MIU
"... Oh… my…"
PLUTOS
"I found this while scrolling the web for a while. I don't think your authorities have this evidence just yet so I'm going to give it to you. I have an Idea on how to fix this, so I'll need your help once more. Think you can do this?"
MIU
"... after you tell me why you decided to introduce yourself to Matsuda the way you did. What the hell was going through your head at that moment??"
PLUTOS
"... hm~... not sure."
MIU
"So you don't know why you suddenly pulled a random story out your ass to tell him how we met?"
PLUTOS
"Ah. you mean that. What did you tell him after?"
MIU
"Urgh. you weren't thinking at all were you?"
PLUTOS
"No, not really. I suddenly felt like I should make it known that we know each other."
MIU
"Gods. Well now that he thinks that, I had to tell everyone that I met you outside the shit apartment and helped you on your feet when you got lost."
PLUTOS
"Well you never lied to them, so it's fine, isn't it?"
MIU
"Lying and not saying the truth are two different scenarios."
PLUTOS
"Says the girl that keeps secrets without telling lies."
Miu's face flushes red. He wasn't wrong.
PLUTOS
"See?"
MIU
"Stop smiling. You know you could just submit the video you just found to those reporters and ask if they can submit it to the public here for the case. That way it can end without you ever needing to show up."
PLUTOS
"See? This is why I need you. You know more than the world allows to be known."
MIU
"Yeah sure just get out of here already."
PLUTOS
"Awe~. so eager to throw me out. I went through a lot of trouble to help you, you know?"
MIU
"And I'm risking my livelihood just to help you adjust. So there."
PLUTOS
"*sigh* alright. I get it. I'll go now. Sleep well, Miu."
MIU
"I how you read about formalities and manners on the internet for this region. Because you're way too casual in calling me by name, mr."
PLUTOS
"Oh? I thought it wouldn't matter since we know each other so well already. And besides, I'm an "East Islander". I don't care for formalities of the "lower class". If I consider you my friend then you are my friend. Simple as that."
Plutos leaves out the window and disappears in the darkness. Miu closes the window grumbling and goes to bed for the night.
The next morning, Matsuda wakes up in the morning to the sound of arguing above him. Annoyed, he gets up and stretches out before heading up to see what the commotion was about. He gets to the entryway to find Kobi yelling at Plutos at the front door while Plutos had his hands over his ears. He was doing his best to hold back his urge to send him back into the attic. Even Matsuda could tell he was holding back his strength to not cause trouble.
As soon as Officer Kosuke and the Missus rush down the stairs to see what is happening, Matsuda Sends his fist into Kobi's head so hard that Kobi bobs like a petri dish. And falls back on his butt watching the world spin around him. Plutos Releases his ears finally and notices the discomfort on Matsuda's face at that moment. Being known as an East Islander makes those around you far more uncomfortable than being an alien from another universe, but it was better than being treated unjustly for no reason. The claim gave him more benefits than a rich CEO that was a local.
PLUTOS
"Oh! Hello there! I'm so happy I get to see a familiar face in this neighborhood. I was trying to make an attempt to greet my neighbors. I hope I'm not disturbing anything."
MATSUDA
"N-no. Not at all. Please do come in. I… I sincerely apologize for my little brother's behavior just now. You're more than welcome here. Um… Please come in. If you'd Like we could invite you to dinner, too."
PLUTOS
"Now that won't be necessary. After all, I'm the one intruding so suddenly. I simply wish to give your family gifts. … well, exempt from one that is."
Plutos was acting as he should, but his feelings were far from a lie at this point.
MATSUDA
"Uh… really??"
PLUTOS
"Of course. Though I'll need to know who many is in your household for this to work out for everyone."
MATSUDA
"Me, my mother and my father… and a friend of mine from school."
Plutos could feel that he said that on purpose.
PLUTOS
"...Oh?"
OFFICER KOSUKE
"Matsuda who is this? A friend of yours I don't know?"
MATSUDA
"Ah! D-dad, hey. Morning mom. Uh dad this is the guy I told you about from yesterday. *Whisper* the East Island guy. Show some manners."
OFFICER KOSUKE

Plutos glances at Miu as she walks to the entryway lazily dressed in casual clothes and bed hair. The shock on her face made him all the more amused.

"Good morning, Miu. this is quite the predicament, isn't it? I thought you were still in that shabby shack near the school, yet I find you here. Fate must really be on my side these days."
Plutos gives her a big sweet smile that was equivalent to a scheming toddler. Miu's face flushes with embarrassment and rage as she backs away into the hall and returns to her room quietly.
PLUTOS
"Oh dear. It seems I scared the poor girl this time. I hope she's alright after yesterday."
OFFICER KOSUKE
Uh… I-i'm sure she'll be alright after some time away for the school, you know? Speaking of, I hear from Matsuda here that you really saved her yesterday as payback for her help to you. You don't know how grateful I am to you for your help with this."
