You were pacing back and forth in your room while biting your nails. Your anxiety was through the roof. You had that conversation with Serena earlier today and it's still bothering you. What happened after kept repeating in your head and it's making you feel like you're now prey getting hunted.

"That Jungkook is still in love with me."

Amani and you just stared at her with a blank face. You can't really account for what Amani felt in the moment but for you... you felt like your whole world just came crashing down. Your heart was beating out your chest and you felt like you were getting confronted for a crime.

"So I suggest you back off, Y/n. You're not someone he would be interested in. You're annoying and boring, just like he said."

You felt tears welling up in your eyes. You didn't know what to feel or think. You couldn't even speak because the bell rang. Amani stood up quickly and a loud smack was heard. You look up and see Serena holding her left cheek while her face was now looking to the right from the smack. Serena just looked back at you and smiled.

"You're so pathetic. Always having your bestfriend stand up for you instead of you standing up for yourself. Watch your back Y/n." Serena let out a loud laugh before quickly walking away and out the classroom. Amani was about to start walking after Serena but you just grabbed onto her wrist to stop her.

"It's fine, Amani. It's not worth it." You said while holding back your tears. You stood up and grabbed your bag, walking out the classroom with Amani.

That whole interaction has been bothering you so much for valid reasons. Amani has been texting you and blowing up your phone but you just told her you need some time to think. You're so scared for what might happen. Plus Jungkook hasn't talked to you since he's got home and that's just making you overthink way more.

How did she know he said you were annoying and boring? That was during an argument in your room with him. Does he talk behind your back to her? Is he actually still in love with her?

You stop pacing and just take a deep breath trying to calm yourself down from the panic attack that was building up. God you hate this feeling. Why does something always have to be happening to you?

"Y/n!" You get snapped out of your thoughts. You were so lost in your own head that you didn't even notice Jungkook walked into your room and had tried getting your attention.

"Sorry, what happened?" You look up at him and see his face looks concerned.

"Serena told me Amani slapped her today. Um, What happened?" He questions you and raises an eyebrow. His brown eyes looking at you intensely, searching for an answer.

"Serena said some things and Amani defended me." You bite your bottom lip out of nervousness.

"Y/n." Hesitating whilst taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, "Don't do that." He trailed off before exhaling and opening his eyes to stare directly into yours. This earned a confused look from you.

"Do what?"

"Biting your lip."

You raise your eyebrow at his response.

"What? Why?"

"Because... I can't focus when you do that. You do that every time we're taking notes in class, every time you're playing on your stupid switch, every time you're reading, every time you're nervous, and every single time it makes me want to kiss you, Y/n. Stop."

You're taken aback from his sudden confession; you didn't expect him to say that. Jungkook and you stare into one another's eyes in silence for a couple seconds. You can hear your own heart beating against your chest.

"Jungkook, you don't mean that..."

"Y/n, I do but never mind that. Tell me what Serena said to you." He said changing the topic. You were still caught off guard and shocked from what he said but you were also too busy worrying about Serena to keep talking about it.

"Why do you wanna know?"

"Because Y/n. I'm worried about you when it comes to Serena." He takes a step closer to you.

"Why would you be worried?"

"Just tell me what she said."

"No. Answer my question first." You demanded.

"Y/n. Tell me."

"Why does it matter so much, Jungkook?"

"Because I need to know if she insulted you or said anything to make you feel bad." He says and starts to fiddle with the rings on his fingers.

You bite your tongue to hold back from saying anything. Telling him what she said is only going to make you feel more embarrassed than before. How would you even word it that she knows you confessed and that she knows he called you annoying and boring.

"Get out." You look down at the floor to avoid making eye contact with him.

"Y/n—"

"I said get out. Please Jungkook just go to your room." You interrupt him.

You hear him let out a defeated sigh before your room door opens and closes, indicating he left. You immediately sit on your bed and cover your face with your hands to try and calm down from adrenaline.

Why would he be so persistent on figuring out what Serena said? Why is he so worried about you when it comes to Serena?

Your mind is racing and you don't know what to think or feel about the situation. Especially with his sudden confession during it all. You didn't even notice you bit your lip out of habit. But he noticed.

He noticed a small detail about you that nobody else probably did.
