The Sin of Curiosity - Part 2

That third eye was inverted from the normal human eye - the white part was black and black pupil was white. Furthermore, it was adorned with a golden outline. The pupil of this vertical eye was a simple white dot. However, neither the inverted colors of the eye nor the golden outline were what made this third eye stand out. What made it stand out was a multicolored spiral in a shape of a galaxy, filled with endless stars of different colors. There were countless small stars making up this galaxy, slowly rotating counter-clockwise.

Further focusing on this spiral would yield an amazing discovery. There were ten separate 'threads' coming from the central white dot and each of those threads had a different color at the entry point into the white dot. Usually, most fully formed galaxies have two main spiral arms connecting to the black hole in the center of the galaxy.

The galaxy within this eye had ten main spiral arms from which many more branched out, forming a multicolored spiral. The ten main spiral arms connected to the central point in the eye, but instead of it being a black hole, it was a white dot. This galaxy was irregularity among irregularities.

Asura's mind was blank while he gazed at the dragon's third eye. It was something he didn't expect to see even in a fantasy world. For a while, he didn't even notice that his Spiritual Will started drifting toward it by itself. Only after he managed to extract his attention from the grasp of that eye did he realize how dangerous it is.

Asura: "Eye of Chaos...."

He felt coldness throughout his entire Soul, as there was no way cold sweat would form on a Spiritual Body. But if it could, it surely would.

He took a bit to recollect himself and started examining the dragon once again.

Its entire body was black but it didn't have the density of the black hole from before. Now it was illusory and transparent. Because of this transparency, he could see the three cores inside the dragon, with myriad veins branching out to and from them. All of those three cores were exactly the cores of each individual dragon in its own space.

Asura's eyes trembled as pupils dilated and contracted, taking in all the details they could. The conclusion was obvious. He succeeded. He really succeeded! This dragon was a fusion of three dragons beyond shadow of doubt.

There was a golden green flame-shaped mark on one of the illusory scales, right between the dragon's horns. This dragon was smaller in size than the three dragon Soul Spirits, but it radiated a terrific suppression bearing down on Asura's Spiritual Will.

Asura: 'D-damn! What's that, it's so terrifying! Did the three Soul Spirits merge and sublimate!?'

His guess was on point. The three Soul Spirits that entered the black hole were thoroughly absorbed by it and merged into one, which caused the entire black hole to turn into a dragon form.

This majestic dragon had two pairs of horns and ten wings. Four pairs of its wings were illusory while the fifth pair appeared more opaque. The entire body of the dragon was strange. Its scales gave off a crystal-like feeling, similar to the clothes formed by the Spiritual Flame, but its entire body was full of sharp scales. The tail was almost as long as the rest of its body. In the center of its body, there laid a crystal formed of multitude of colors.

Asura: 'Unbelievable. Who'd expect this? What kind of existence is that black hole to be able to fuse the three Soul Spirits together? So strange.'

Suddenly, the entire Soul World wobbled and fractured as myriad cracks started spreading in all directions rapidly. The stars dimmed while massive amount of energy started seeping in from the cracks. There were three types of energy - Green, Rainbow and Starry Black.

Asura quickly focused on the crystal cores in his body and noticed the energy rapidly draining from them and even crystals started disintegrating and turning into energy. Three streams of energy assaulted Asura's soul from all sides and hurriedly rushed towards the black dragon, whose aura started rising as its form began materializing gradually. The previously illusory form initially filled with Spirit Energy particles, which then turned into gas-like substance and then gradually began solidifying and crystalizing.

What caught Asura unaware was a wave of pain that couldn't be suppressed as the space of his Soul cracked, allowing the energy to seep in through the cracks. As time passed, the pain only increased which caused a groaning sounds to escape involuntarily from his clenched teeth. He was giving it his all to hold himself back and try not to wake up Xia while enduring the pain he never felt before.

If one's entire body started sending pain from all pain receptors at the same time, that would still be mild compared to this kind of feeling. It was as if his very being was being twisted around, compressed, torn apart and rebuilt rapidly. Whenever he was a tiny bit away from losing consciousness, a purple radiance shone from the dragon's left eye and illuminated the broken world. Under that purple light, the Soul World stopped falling apart and then green light shone from the dragon's right eye, gradually repairing it. The amount of energy that was pressing onto his Soul World was seemingly endless.

Asura: 'AAAAHHH! Where's all this energy coming from!? How can there be so much???'

He wasn't aware that he should rightfully be dead by now, considering that this energy came from the purple serpent's entire cultivation, which is a very scary amount of energy. He couldn't focus on his inner Soul World anymore and his eyes shot open. The first thing he noticed was sweetness in his mouth.

Next, he saw a small white creature looking at him with worried look that also had a bit of excitement in it. It could feel its master's energy and aura rapidly diminishing but at the same time it felt a very dense and terrific energy appear in Asura's Soul World through the channel between them. When it saw the state its master's Soul World was in, it became frightened.

The fox ran up to Asura's hand and started licking it, as if wanting to distract him from the pain he was experiencing. He looked at it and smiled. He raised his hand, wanting to scratch its head but at that moment, the world went dark. He felt explosions in his body happen in the positions of crystal cores and numbness started spreading everywhere as his Soul World finally fully shattered.

The dragon's eyes were shining with extreme purple and green while third, vertical eye shone with the faint multicolored glow, and seemingly a green flame lit up on the edges around it. The purple and green illuminated everything and then a milky white glow shone from the white pupil, as all of the dragon's eyes turned multicolored and all the previous colors got replaced. The vortex in the third eye started spinning madly, sucking in all the energy that threatened to destroy everything.

As he was expecting his Spiritual Will to be disintegrated by the oncoming energy, Asura felt a suction force behind him and soon found himself within the head of the majestic black dragon. When he glanced below, he saw the dragon's open maw siphoning all the energy in front of it, directly absorbing it inside the multicolored core in the position of its heart. The rest of the energy that pressed on it from all sides got absorbed by the system of channels spanning throughout its small body and connecting all the cores together.

A multicolored glow then appeared around the dragon that froze everything within its vicinity, not letting the tyrannical energy approach it any further. The more energy the dragon absorbed, the more solidified its form became until all of its ten wings became fully solidified and opaque. After everything solidified, it started condensing even further and turning crystalline. It seemed as if this dragon was formed from liquid crystal.

Asura grit his teeth and endured, until the dragon finally stopped absorbing the energy in its surroundings and started converting all the absorbed energy into multicolored one, in a ratio of one billion particles into a single one. All the energy that was within the three cores previously became a million times more compressed, and every particle of this new multicolored energy slightly bent the space around it. Even though Asura's consciousness was fading and he fell down, he was still aware of all transformations taking place within his body because of the unique ability they called Gaze of Chaos.

The multiple colors in the dragon's eyes vanished and instead of rainbow-like glow, only a deep green full of life remained, causing a green halo to manifest around the dragon and start forming an entirely new Soul World, since the old one shattered. The green core in the dragon's forehead, situated slightly below Asura's Spiritual Will, lost all its radiance and became transparent. All of the energy was used up to repair the Soul World.

After it came the starry black crystal core which soon met the same fate. Right now, only a multicolored core still had energy left in it, and that energy was only a third of the full capacity. It could be said, only this multicolored core survived this adversity while other two were fully emptied to form a brand new Soul World of a much higher grade than before.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Asura could be considered to have stepped in a realm of his own where no being touched upon until now.

Right now, an ability previously called Gaze of Chaos seemingly evolved and turned into Eye of Chaos - the third eye on the dragon's forehead. He was numb to the pain and only felt excited. He didn't think this kind of thing would happen. However, there was a huge downside which was that all of his previous cultivation was gone, re-condensing from ground zero into this multicolored rainbow-like energy. This energy had a peculiar aura to it, even calling it a Divine Aura wouldn't be wrong. Not to mention that every energy particle behaved like a small black hole, bending everything around it and madly devouring it for its own gain.

His energy cultivated by itself. That's the kind of creature Asura had evolved into after his reckless decision.
