" Good morning" he said looking at her but this time she was the one with her back facing him.

" Good m.… morning Raymond" Abi stuttered, turning to face him as her attempt to run away to her room was cut short.

" I made breakfast " Ray added while proceeding to the dining table, sat and gave her a look who was indirectly asking her to join him.

Following what his eyes was telling her, she went and took the sit Infront of him.

" Are we not waiting for them?" Abi asked, obviously referring to her mom and Madi. She knew that Jefrey must surely be at work already.

" They went out " Ray responded shortly. This is then, when she remembered that her mom told her yesterday during dinner time that she will need to bring Josh to his pediatrician for a checkup and later on bring Madi to the birthday party of one her female colleague child who nearly has the same age as Madi.

At first, it was awkward for Abi, but the awkwardness soon disappeared When they started eating, she could not deny that it was indeed delicious or was she just hungry. Abi was eating her breakfast with no care in the world when she found Ray staring at her with a smirk on his face. She then stopped and looked at him for a brief moment, gulping the piece of food she has been chewing.

" You seem to like it" Ray finally spoke still with that smirk of his.

" Like... like what?" Abi stuttered." Like the.... breakfast" Ray responded with the smirk not leaving his face.

" Oh yes, the breakfast...I like it " She responded but for a certain reason she felt nervous. " Yes, the breakfast what else will he be talking about" she thought.

" I'm sorry "Ray blurted out of nowhere this time the smirk finally left his face. " When I came back home yesterday it was quite late and when I finally reach the doorknob of my room. I heard someone mumbling and I...." Ray was cut short by Abi

" It's fine and.... thank you it was just a bad dream" Abi said not wanting to talk about that.

" Are you ok..." Ray was then again cut short by Abi

" Yes, now can we eat. I'm actually very hungry" she said leaving no room for further discussion.

They finished taking their breakfast in complete silent, clearing the dining table and cleaning up. Abi went to her room leaving Ray by himself.

*************************************************************************************** It was the morning and this time it was not josh who woke her up but the ringtone of her phone.

" Humm....what!!" Abi said answering her phone half asleep not even checking who was the one calling.

" Come outside, there is something waiting for you at the door" a rough voice said at the other end of the phone. This is then when Abi jugged good to check who was the one calling but it was an unknown number. She immediately stood up from her bed, eliminating any remains of sleep left.

" Who is it? mr....mr.t is that you? " Abi stuttered, but instead of responding they hang up. Yesterday when after checking her phone for a new message of mr.t for several time, she thought someone had maybe pranked her but now if it was real, she will need to verify that and discover who he was and what is their reason for approaching her. Not wasting any more time, Abi ran downstair but as soon as she reached for the doorknob, two question suddenly popped into her head.

" How does he even know where I live.... and first of all, how did he get my phone number" Abi asked herself, feeling a bit scared. Abi was quite reserved, and even when asked in school for her number for class chat groups, she will always give her second number, and this was the main reason of the second phone number. Apart from Talia and her family, nobody had this phone number, atleast what she thought.

Like Abi's father liked to tell her, "Those who tries nothing gain nothing". She finally gathered some courage and opened the door. She made one step out of the house when her foot bump into something.

There, was a white small box with a flower drawn on top of the box. Not just any flower but her father favorite flower, an iris. She looked left and right in search of the possible Mr.t or just the person who left that but no sign of a living organism.

She then took the box to her room in utter discretion." A chance that everybody is still sleeping" Abi thought. She rushed to her room, leaving no chance to inexplicable questions or lies. When she arrived in her room, she posed the box on her bed and sat next to it.

Abi stayed for a couple of seconds staring at the box as if waiting for the box to open by itself or even talk and tell her what was in, after some time she finally opened it and What Abi saw in the box left her utterly confused.
