Chapter 28 don't mention her to me

He Lanjin was about to drive away when she saw a group of police officers rushing into the hotel, forcefully arresting Director Huang. The director cursed and resisted, but the police officers came with batons and beat him to the ground.

He Lanjin sniggered when she saw Director Huang's trousers slip down as the officers dragged him to the police car.

She felt inexplicably amused and thought about He Ruoxue, whom she saw speeding away earlier.

"Mr. Qiao, do you have such a hobby?" He Lanjin's voice was clear and sweet, but her thoughts were rational.

She did not struggle or try to get up from Qiao Hanye's lap. She was calm and collected, totally in control of herself.

"Oh? I thought Miss He wanted to steal my 'son' again," Qiao Hanye said as he raised his handsome eyebrows.

Hearing Qiao Hanye say "steal my son" reminded He Lanjin of the scene at the hospital. She made a joke and it totally backfired on her, with the man saying she stole his sperm. The thought made her face turn red.

He Lanjin quickly jumped up and said, "Don't. Let's put this matter behind us and call it even."

"Okay, Miss He. Now that we're talking like civilized people, I need to inform you that you need to pay the rent," Qiao Hanye said in a business-like voice.

He Lanjin stiffened. How would she make up for Qin Nan's mistake? Should she just make Qiao Hanye chase after her for the rent?

"My, my, my. How can a thousand-year-old gaming expert actually lose?" Qin Nan asked, incredulous. "What are you doing?" He needed to know He Lanjin was okay. This was very unusual for her.

Looking at her horrible score, He Lanjin quickly logged off the game. "Nothing. I got nothing else to do. I'm just distracted."

"Don't tell me you're thinking of a man. Maybe someone as handsome as me?" Qin Nan asked narcissistically. You're making me nervous. Please don't fall in love with me. I'm just a legend."
