18 Chapter Eighteen



"Hey, Adriel." Adriel turned around and a smug smile replaced the slight annoyance she'd felt at his tardiness.

"I thought you'd never show up Luke." She said.

"Hey, I needed to get ready for my date," Luke said folding his collar as he got into his car.

Adriel rolled her eyes although she was happy for her brother. Mercy was a wonderful gal.

They looked so cute together and what's more, she was a devoted Christian and her brother was head over heels in love with her.

Sometimes she even got jealous of how good they were together. She wished she'd someday have someone who'd someday love her like he loved Mercy.

The image of a certain redhead immediately popped into her mind and she involuntarily blushed.

Luke looked at her and smiled knowingly.

"I know that look Adri."

"I don't know what you're talking about." She murmured. Luke smiled.
