Chapter Three: Back To Rex City

~ One Week Later ~

This past week, my dad sparred with me whenever he got time, and in the remaining time, I went to the forest, my old spot, and practiced my elemental magics. I will be leaving for Rex City and becoming an Adventure.

Yes!! Everything's arranged. The only thing is I have just to get there. I will leave tomorrow. So just for today, I want to spend the entire time with my family only.

And yeah, after the day, when I had a duel with my dad. My mana capacity increased, and my body can handle some combinations too.

{Mana capacity, the maximum amount of mana one can holds in their body. It increases when one uses magic many times and through experience in fights.}

I helped my mom and dad with their work throughout the day and played with Eli for a while. We had our usual talks and a peaceful time. As of now, Eli and I are in our parent's room with both Mom and Dad.

"Art, don't you want to sleep?" Mom asked me.

"Umm... No, today till the night ends, I want to spend my time with you."

"Then me too. I, too, want to spend my time with my brother." Eli said.

"Gosh, fine then," Mom sighed.

We continued talking for hours until Eli, and I fell asleep.

Elena's POV:

"Dear, don't you think Art has changed a lot since last month?" I asked my husband, who is on the other end of the bed and sleeping between Art and Eli.

"You think so?" he replied.

"Yes, he became a different person entirely now. But I am happy about that." I answered.

"Indeed, he has grown a lot stronger. And that punch mark is still there."

I slightly chuckled and replied, "I hope everything goes good for this child from now on."

Yes, please, God, if you are listening to me, then please help my child.

Arturo's POV:

~ Next Day ~

I had to wake up early and get ready.

Finally, it's time. One last time I will cross-check if I got everything packed. Meanwhile, I was cross-checking. I heard my mom saying,

"Art, the carriage is here."

"Coming…" I replied.

I will take my bag and puts it on my shoulder, and gets out of the room. I turned around, looked at my room one last time. I close my eyes and gently smile, and walk downstairs.

I am with my family standing out near the gateway of our yard. I kept all my luggage in the carriage's back. For one last time, I am standing in front of my Mom, Dad, and Eli.

"Hey Art, before you leave. I got a gift for you." My dad said and gave me a bracelet.

"A bracelet?" I questioned.

"Yes, A special one. You will soon know it once you wear it."

I put that bracelet on my left hand; meanwhile, Mom comes to me and asks me, "Art, Come near."

I walked towards her.

"Close your eyes." She said, and I closed my eyes with no hesitation. Closing my eyes, she put on something on my neck. A pendant? I guessed.

"Open your eyes."

I opened my eyes, and I saw a beautiful emerald pendant. It is so beautiful that I lack words.

"Thanks, Mom." While saying that, I hugged her."

Eli pulled my dress, and when I looked at her, her other hand was behind her back. She took her hand from behind her back and gave a letter to me. I accepted that letter from her and kneeled. I put my hands on her and said,

"Thanks, Eli." And hugged her.

"Mom, Dad, and Eli. I will be going now. Take care."

I started walking towards the carriage while looking back at them waving. I sat down in the carriage, and it moved on. As it moved on, I started losing sight of them. I tried to relax in the back of the carriage.

My eyes went on the bracelet my father gave. It was sucking my mana, more like it is storing my mana. Ahh!! I see this bracelet acts as a storage for my mana. Since mana can replenish on its own, so it doesn't matter.

This bracelet will be a massive buff to my mana, but just for once. That means I will use it when I feel like I might not make it. Indeed, the best gift for a beginner like me. Putting that aside….

I looked at the emerald pendant my mother gave me.

…. I have a better buff than any buff for magic, right, Mom?

Oh yeah, it will take more than one day to reach Rex City since we are taking a detour. Taking the usual route would be dangerous if not traveling in a group or with an escort.

And did I take the letter my father told me to give to Miss Enya Azureflame? I then searched my bag for that letter.

"She is stronger than me," Dad mentioned this. Then I guess she might be either A-Class or S-Class

[Explanation]

Here in this continent, there is a fixed ranking/class for mages and warriors. Class depends on the original colour of the mana. It starts from colour grey -> White -> Green -> Yellow -> Orange -> Red -> Purple. Each colour except the grey and white colour stage has three different stages Dark -> Mid -> Bright. And the Mage ranking/class starts from E -> D -> C -> B -> A -> S -> Z corresponding to the colour of the mana. Out of all these purple colours that are Z-Class is the rarest one. In this entire continent, there's only one.

Day Later, the carriage reaches Rex City.

[Explanation]

The Sapein Kingdom has five cities and three towns in total. Rex City (Also known as King's City) is in the middle of the Sapein Kingdom and home to the Sapein Kingdom's King. In the middle of Rex City, there's a place called Capital. It belongs to Nobles and higher-ups of the kingdom.

So, I am back again here, huh?

The carriage stopped at the station and I took my luggage and got off.

{station acts as starting and stopping area for all outgoing and incoming carriage from inside and outside the town.}

Now, I need to get to our meeting point. Since I am already familiar with Rex City from my previous life, I know exactly where to meet. And I won't even waste Miss Enya's time too.

If I remember, I haven't either met or heard about Miss Enya Azureflame in my previous life. If she is stronger than my dad, at least I should have seen or at least heard about her. Did something happen before those two years?

{Azureflame family, one of the Noble family and one of the strongest fire users in Miscentia. Azureflame family is also famous for their unique fire colour, which is the blue colour.}

I reached the place, took out a paper in which Mom had drawn a portrait of Miss Enya. It would have been difficult for me if it were not for the drawing made by Mom's magic.

{Elena Kei, she used to work as one of the administrators in the Guildhall. She has unique magic called Authority and Manipulation. Used on non-living objects and commanding them to do works, she can control humans, but it takes a lot of tolls on her body, so she doesn't use it on humans.}

There she is, I found her. Blue-coloured long hair, wearing a white-black combination dress and a sword on her waist. She is standing out too much; even without the portrait, I could have easily found her.

I walked to her, and she had already noticed me. As I closed the distance and she released her mana-will.

{Mana-will, a shockwave of energy from one's mana. One can release their mana-will full of bloodlust. Mana will be used to flex over someone weaker than you or show your worth to someone. One can even use mana will so that they don't get affected by others' will.}

This mana-will she is releasing is enough to make low-class mage fall on their knees and tremble with fear. Is she testing me? I chuckled and also used my mana will and then introduced myself.

"Yes, Nice to meet you. I am Arturo Kei."

"My self Enya Azureflame, Nice to meet you, Arturo."

"I will be in your care from now on. Thank you."

I then followed her, and as we walked, she told me the details about where I will be living and a few details on when to go to Guildhall and how to apply to become an Adventurer

Later that, in the evening. I am resting in my Inn, and I will be living here from now onwards. And tomorrow, I will also be going to the guild house.

{Inn here is where travellers or Adventurers from different city lives. One can live until they want.}

Finally, I can rest. Travelling is tiring, at least for me. But thanks to someone, I got used to it in my previous life. Right, Naomi? With a fading smile, I closed my eyes and I slept.

After I helped Arturo with his living place and all, I am returning to my home.

That idiot Levine asked me to train this child. I don't know if I should say this or not, but if I teach him everything I know, he will become a living monster in the future. "Chuckles" but I don't mind raising one of them
