55 Running
The two bodyguards were silent when they heard He Lixue's words and continued to drive in another direction of what they had been told. They were both alert, one of them kept observing He Lixue in the rearview mirror, while the other was focusing entirely on the drive ahead.
He Lixue frowned. She was not panicked, because she could not feel killing intent from the two women, and even if she could, panic would just destroy her chances of turning things around.
Seeing that she could maintain her calmness even when she was clearly being kidnapped made the two bodyguards even more alert, as they continued to observe He Lixue and the surroundings with high vigilance.
It was not before the car stopped for a red light, that He Lixue moved. She instantly opened the door, rolled out of it, and began running as fast as she could away from the vehicle.
The car was on a crowded road, and the two bodyguards had not expected her to make such a move suddenly. Their eyes darkened as they stopped the car and ran after her, but He Lixue already had a headstart and was running through the busy streets.
She knew her body and her condition well. Although she was now considered healed, after having been in a coma for three years, her body was not suitable for running long distances, and while she could maintain a certain speed right now, it would end up harming her if she continued to push her body's limits.
She needed somewhere to hide.
She reached a crowded shopping street, and without looking back, she entered a small shop. The shop was specialized in tourism and souvenirs, so it was crowded with small items stacked on shelves and smaller carts.
Not to mention, the shop was in an L-shape. When one entered, there was a small part where the outside world could not see who was inside the shop.
The two bodyguards, who were in fact not real bodyguards, thought that He Lixue was just an ordinary girl, so they were certain that she would not choose to hide somewhere so close to them, that she would continue to run, take a taxi, and return to the Golden River Estate, so they instantly whipped out their phone to dial Mister Jiang.
"She ran away," the small but stout bodyguard said in the phone, her voice was trembling slightly in fear. Within the organization, failure was not accepted.

Mister Jiang gave his orders swiftly before he ended the call. He looked at the figure on the picture within the file in his hands. "How good it would be if it were really you," he said after sighing for the umptieth time that day. "Master misses you a lot, do you know that Lixue? You grew up with us, and you were always the most important to Master. Although he does not realize it, he still blames himself for your death. He does not sleep or eat or rest anymore; his sole purpose is for the organization to destroy them and never let even one of them survive."
If He Lixue was there, she might have felt her heart entangle slightly. Her teacher was special to her. Although she loved Lu Nanfeng, the teacher was like her family. If he truly needed her, she would rush to his side to help.
But Mister Jiang never really thought that this He Lixue was the one they had lost, so it never occurred to him that he could just ask her to come back with him.
He had even made a reasonable excuse for his Master. His explanation was that when He Lixue took over the body of this woman in the coma, she lost all her memories.
This was why she had not contacted them and why she could not recognize him when she saw him.
Mister Jiang just hoped that Master would not lose his temper and kill her in anger when realizing that the woman had forgotten him.
This was a gamble for Mister Jiang, and he was willing to use He Lixue like a chess piece.
To him, the life and death of one woman did not matter, but the Master was important. As long as Master was okay, Mister Jiang would be ready to kill not just one person, but even if he had to kill thousands of people, he would still do so.
