15 The most important

The murmuring of the people hidden in the darkness continued for what felt like an eternity to Jenny. She looked around at the shadowy figures, concealed in the darkness. She could tell that they had to be civilians without because they were unable to keep their composure, like trained soldiers, upon hearing Jenny's words.

She could not understand the purpose of having these people in the same room as the leaders of the facility. Normally, leaders would meet intruders or potential threats to their facilities, alone or with trained body guards but never with spectators who had no ability to fight. Trying to figure out the reasoning behind this decision, Jenny was perplexed since she could not come up with anything.

After approximately twenty minutes, the man who was sitting in between the women coughed lightly causing everyone in the room to fall silent. It was so quite that one could hear a pin drop. It was a respectful silence for the man. A silence that no one dared to break. Without even being informed, anyone could figure out that this man was very important.Jenny examined the man with a hint of wonder. So this was the most important person in the room?

"We have heard your opinions. Opinions that we don't support." His cold voice stated heavily, he then paused as if to invite Jenny to speak but she remained tight-lipped. Seeing that she would not speak, he continued speaking, "However, at least you have provided something which is more than anyone in this room has provided since we got the information from the Truth Teller."

He leaned forward and put his finger tips together and looked straight into Jenny's eyes, an imposing aura surrounding him. A spine-chilling smirk blooming on his daunting face. " Thank you, your input has really helped us...off course we still need to discuss...we can't just do as a child says." He said with an overbearing tone. He then turned to James, "Boy. Take her to them as the fool promised."

Jenny's cogs turned when she heard the man's words, Was the 'fool' Bane? Additionally James seemed to be looked down upon. Were they the underdogs of this group of leaders before her? Jenny was astonished, it seemed that there was bias in the leading faction of the facility. Getting on his feet hurriedly, James marched towards Jenny. He grabbed her hand and held on tightly, seemingly looking for comfort. He turned around and started pulling Jenny towards the exit.

Before they could successfully reach the exit, they were stopped," Hold up." The man spoke, freezing them in their tracks.James squeezed her hand softly. " Jenny...I think you forgot something." He paused as the two turned to face him. "You have not informed us on where and how to find the planetary holder. It might be the only solution we consider."

Jenny frowned," Sir, if you plan on saving all of humanity, I advice you to consider both of the offers I have put on the table as options, have a plan 'A' and 'B'." Jenny paused hoping that he had taken her seriously but the man's face remained unchanged. Typical. This is how the people of her race, humanity, tended to behave. Arrogantly. Selfishly. Proudly.

Jenny took a deep breath after waiting for and not receiving an answer." To find a planetary holder, find an object filled with the essence of the planet, then you just get a tracker to utilise it to find the 'Planetary Holder'. In our case it would be any part of our planet's physical environment, but it has to be healthy. Flora and microbes can also suffice, but of course it also needs to be healthy. By healthy, I mean pollution and chemical free." Upon hearing Jenny's words, the mans smirk became even wider.

"Does any tracker work?" He questioned lowly. Jenny nodded, she was tired of talking to this man. He smiled then waved his hand nonchalantly, " You can leave now."

James didn't wait for him to change his mind again, and hurriedly dragged Jenny out of the room, like there were demons behind him.Once the doors were closed behind them, James continued to hurriedly march forward, not stopping for anything. Through the twists and turns of the corridors, they finally stopped at a familiar door, the door leading to the cells. Once they passed through those doors, James heaved a sigh of relief and slowly loosened his hold of Jenny's hand as he gently led her to the cell where she and her family were being enclosed.

They arrived the cell where she had left them, except this time they were wide awake with fearful looks on their faces. Out of all the children, Mirai, was the first one to notice the two new arrivals, the fear on her face doubled a she watched them approach. However, the fear soon vanished when she realised that one of the two figures was Jenny. Quickly standing up, she moved to the bars of the cell, causing the others to become aware of the two new arrivals but still not realising that one of them was Jenny.

Leo hastily pulled Mirai back protectively without even examining the new arrivals, leaving Lucas unattended, allowing him to move closer to the bars of the cell, not to examine them but to try and speak to them.

Tightly holding on to the cold bars, Lucas mustered up his courage and spoke," Excuse me, I think you got the wrong people, we are not criminals, we were just trying to find a safe place...We will leave if we are not wanted...But first please-PLEASE GIVE US OUR SISTER! GIVE US JENNY!" He wailed, his composure breaking down at the end of his plea.

Leo moved forward and pulled Lucas towards him, while still holding Mirai, hugging both of them tenderly. He looked up at the figures whom he could not see clearly due to the tears in his eyes. " Just- JUST GIVE HER BACK!" He yelled with grief.

CLICK! and with slow grinding, the bars slowly raised up. Once high enough one of the figures quickly rushed towards them. Startled, they examined the figure. It was familiar. " J-Jenny!" they all yelled and jumped into her embrace.

Tears rolled down her cheeks." I am here."
