10 Love?
After I was rescued by Ash ,he took me back to the mansion ,but I was restless after seeing Jasper with tears in his eyes,he had a very sad expression when I told him about Lucy's death.
My heart was a mess at that time when grandpa suddenly called me to his office so I dressed my wounds and went to his office still absentminded. As I sat on the couch across him i had still flashing images of Jasper's crying eyes.
"Is something wrong Lucy ?" He called me by my real name
" Grandpa what does it mean when a man cries because of a woman?" I asked it because I was confused and also because I had zero dating experience
"Oh silly child it means he love her" he smiled but then in a flash he became serious and said " did Ash cry because of you?l he said with a serious tone which made me laugh so hard. Grandpa liked Ash but he hated it when we called each other husband and wife because he was against it and guess why because Ash was going to leave and if I married him I would leave to. Ain't That stupid!
"No grandpa I just felt like asking you, but what did you call me for" I asked .
He got up and sat on the couch beside me and took my hand as he continued "I know it would be difficult for you and I am not forcing you to continue with the act of being my grandson. You can still go back to being my granddaughter " he said with a sigh
" I had taken a rash decision two years ago about you inheriting my business and I know you are capable of taking good care of it but I don't want to take your freedom away from you" as he was about to say more I stopped him
"I will be just fine, if I want m freedom back I can get it after I have taken good care of this business so don't worry I will do whatever you want me to do" I seriously wanted to help him because he looked tired of all the work when I assured him that I would take over his business as Lucifer he was really relieved.
"Child if you feel like giving up you can do it anytime I won't blame you" he patted me on head and I knew what he meant bu giving up , he wanted me to go back to being Lucy so I nodded my head in approval.
"Child I will introduce you formally to the business world after a month when the Leo corporations has its anniversary so be prepared " he instructed after that he told me to take some rest , I was suppose to go with him to the office with him tomorrow to understand work and I was pretty happy with it so why no?
After I left the room I recalled grandfathers words " oh silly child it means he love her" was that the truth did he love me "badump " what was that "badump" was it my heart? . I had a sudden rush of thoughts ,was I going to die ,or did I have a heart disease. I rushed towards Ash's room and blasted in , he was currently sleeping like a log" hey hubby get up I think I am gonna die!" I roared as I marched towards his bed but there was no response so I slapped him on his face and as soon as I did that I felt my wrist being caught and after another second I was on the bed and Ash was about to strangle me to death " hey do you know I am about to die " I said without looking at the pose we were in .
Suddenly Ash was confused so he got up and made me get up as well , as we sat there Ash stared at me with a stupid expression saying" wife we still have years to live how can you say such a thing"
" no I am being serious this time I felt my heart go bump bump a while ago so that means I was going to die" I said with a serious face
" Nay that's not it , if you think you were about to die just because of that bump in your heart, I should have been dead for a long time ago"
"What that means we both have the same disease, hoe unfortunate of us..." as I blabbering he looked at me as if saying " shut up you drama queen".
" so tell me why does your heart race hun?" I asked him and he suddenly blushed and it made me want puke at him but I controlled my urge.
" when I see Lily " still blushing " why??" I said with a stupid look on my face
" what do mean why it's because I love her idiot " he still was blushing
" so does that mean I also love him?" I asked him but what I saw next was enough to drain me out of life he glared at me with daggers in his eyes" WHO IS HE?" He roared .
" don't misunderstand I was just saying because when I recalled his pitiful face it made my heart race so" and that was when he hugged me tightly " so you are talking about that Jasper guy hun?" He said with caution in his tone " unn yes" after hearing my reply he said to me" stay away from him ok I will look for a better man for you and until then you should stick to my side Ok?" And then he started muttering " Dad will kill me if he knows about it" still hugging me like a teddy bear.
The next few weeks I had to accompany grandpa to his office and didn't attend college I also asked grandma to hire someone for help as I would be absent for a long time and she agreed . The she kissed me goodbye.
