prologue

it was raining hard when I heard the sound of horses, I'm lying on the ground unable to move due to injury. I reached out with my hand to try and get the riders attention but that small movement sent pain piercing through my body, I let out a groan "uuugggghhhh" I can't hear the horses anymore they must have pas- or maybe not. there were two feet in front of me, I think there are two people otherwise that person would have four legs. one of them said something, I don't know which one spoke but the one in front of me crouched down and lifted my face to theirs. everything was blurry, whatever they said or did I didn't know. the one holding my face suddenly let it go and I let out another groan "uuuggghhh" the next I thing I knew I was being carried then everything went black.
