2 Contract and Elements!

The night sky was still brightly lit up by the moon and the stars are shining with an added charm to it. Underneath it was two people are talking, one was standing while the other one was sitting at the edge of the roof.

"Aren't you afraid that you might fall there?" Lucetta can't help but warn Kios who was sitting at the edge of the rooftop.

It is not a joke if you ever fall from there cause the castle was built on a hill so it was pretty high. She don't know if Kios was a mage or warrior, he might be even an ordinary person.

"Don't worry, its not that bad here." Kios knows that she was just worried so he assured her.

"Well if you say so. Then let's proceed with our talk." Even though she felt that it was still dangerous she can't do anything about it if he insist.

Kios nodded his head as he looked at the stars. He seems to have a connection with them cause he always felt relieved when he looked at them.

"The glowing circle you mentioned earlier is called a magic circle. It is the foundation of every magic to have a magic circle. The magic that I was using to cause that big magic circle was the summoning magic.

You might not know of this but we have a custom her on Shen Continent. And that is to have a summon at our age of ritual which is 18 years old. I just turned 18 not too long ago so I was hoping to have a summon.

I did not follow my teacher's advice and it cause my summoning magic to have a little deviation, it caused me to use too much magic energy which resulted on me losing my consciousness at that time.

My summoning magic should have failed but unknown how I succeeded and manage to summon you." She patiently explained to Kios everything while paying attention to his response.

"Since your the one that summoned me do you know what I should do?" Kios was not planning on returning to his own realm yet cause he felt like it will be difficult for him to do so. Instead of doing nothing it would be best if he made use of his time here to learn quite a few things.

"Well. Since your my summon that means that I'm your master so basically you should obey everything as I command you." When Lucetta thinks that she have a very handsome boy as her summon makes her want to shout it out loud and brag but she held herself cause she still a noble and has to act reserve.

"Master? But that means that we should commence a contract right?" Although Kios forgot about his memories of the past he was surprisingly still able to remember a thing or two about things.

"A contract? But every being summoned will already have a contract with the summoner." Lucetta also felt that it was strange that he asked about it.

"We already have a contract? But I can't feel any connection between us." Kios closed his eyes to feel his connection with Lucetta but he found out that their was none.

When a contract is established the master and the servant or the summoner and the summoned will be able to sense their connection. But right now, Lucetta and Kios don't feel any connection between the two of them.

Lucetta also noticed this problem so she can't help but be surprised. Kios had already surprised her again and again, there might come a day that she will be numbed with all of his surprises.

"How about we form a contract?" Kios raised his hand as he looked at the ordinary ring on his index finger.

"Form a contract? But what type of contract?" Lucetta felt like it is also something she must do.

Although Kios was kind to her right now, she can't predict what will happen in the future. Kios was just too strange for her.

"What about a Contract of Equality?" Kios asked Lucetta as he turn to look at her.

Lucetta froze when she heard that Kios wants to form a Contract of Equality, she hesitated because if they ever form a Contract of Equality then there will be no master or servant between the two of them.

Kios saw Lucetta's hesitation and he can't help but sigh before he said, "If you don't want to we can just form a Contract of Servanthood if that will make you feel more comfortable."

After he said that, he turn away his gaze on Lucetta no longer paying any attention to her. Kios thought that she was someone who doesn't want to control people but he was wrong.

Although he forgot about his past he can still remember the types of contract, especially the Contract of Servanthood. This type of contract is very cruel because once it is done, every command of the master the servant must obey even if the master commands to kill himself.

Lucetta saw the disappointment on Kios' face and she didn't know why but she felt like her heart aches. She really wants to form a Contract of Servanthood but when she thinks about it Kios is not a beast, he is also a human and from the looks of it he is not a bad person.

She wants to say something but at the end her mouth only opened but no words came out. Lucetta thinks that she was not acting like her usual self right now so she immediately stood up.

Who knew that when she stood up, Kios will also stand up and face her.

Kios saw that Lucetta stood up so he thought that she will start the contract so he also stood up facing her. Then he knelt down on one knee and said, "Let's start the contract."

Lucetta was taken aback by Kios' action, she didn't thought that he will actually do what he said. Because of this she is on a dilemma, not knowing what to do, whether to form a Contract of Equality or a Contract of Servanthood.

During Lucetta's hesitation, Kios had already cut a wound on his finger using his sword then he looked at Lucetta waiting for her to also do the same.

Lucetta saw that Kios had already cut his finger so she gritted her teeth, she picked up a small sword at her back and used it to also cut a small wound on her finger.

Then she formed a series of complicated runes on Kios' forehead using her blood, after that Kios drip one drop of his blood on Lucetta's hand. And Lucetta used that blood of Kios to also form runes on her forehead.

After she was finished she chant come incantation and because of it the runes on their forehead began to glow.

Kios felt that a strand of his spirit is being stretched out towards Lucetta and the same thing is also happening to Lucetta. The strand of their spirits connected with each other and this mark the success of their contract.

Kios sense that in the contract they've form he is not inferior to Lucetta and the both of them are equal which means that they formed the Contract of Equality.

He was so happy to know that Lucetta is not like what he thought her to be and he feel a little guilty cause he was thinking that she wants to control others.

"Thank you, Lucetta." Kios was grateful that Lucetta didn't use him especially now that he forgot about his memories from the past.

The moon was high up in the sky illuminating the dark night. Only now did they noticed that it was already night.

Oblivious to the both of them the castle maids and servants are already frantic looking for their young miss who have gone missing the entire day. Some of them have already started looking around the city to look for their young miss.

His majesty the king have also found out about this and ordered every warriors under him to search the whole city for his daughter. The king is very doting to his daughters especially Lucetta who has the same element as him.

Ever since Lucetta was young he was always the one who teaches her magic until she went to school to learn more things. But even so, the king still loves to teach this daughter of his a thing or two about magic which made the other princesses envious.

After he found out that she had gone missing for the entire day, he hastily commanded the elite warriors under him to search for his daughter, he is afraid something bad might have happen to her.

Meanwhile, on top of the rooftop, Lucetta didn't know that she had caused quite a commotion when she is here.

She looked at the sky, seeing that it is already late at night she said to Kios, "I think we should go inside. I'm afraid father will be worried because I didn't told him that I'll be using the summoning magic."

Kios just nodded at her still thinking about the things that Lucetta told him earlier.

In this realm, the mages have a very high status compared to the warriors. Because a warrior of the same level as the mage will still be defeated if they were to fight. But their are also some who dual cultivate, they train as a warrior and mage, only a few are able to do this because mages will usually focus their time more on learning spells that training their bodies.

The five main elements which are the Fire (huo) element, Metal (jin) element, Wood (mu) element, Earth (tu) element, Water (shui) element coexist with each other. An element may be used to make the other element stronger or make the other element weaker.

Wood feeds Fire

Fire creates Earth

Earth bears Metal

Metal collects Water

Water nourishes Wood

Wood element will make the Fire element stronger but the Water element makes it weaker. Fire element makes the Earth element but the Wood element makes it weaker. Earth element makes the Metal element stronger but Fire element makes it weaker. Metal element makes the Water element stronger but the Earth element makes it weaker. Water element makes the Wood element stronger but the Metal element makes it weaker.

Since Kios' element is still unknown Lucetta want him to be tested to identify which element he has. Its not like Lucetta is being optimistic when she thinks that Kios might be a mage because Kios himself told her that he can vaguely remember that he was also a mage or something similar to it.

The two of them went inside the castle together walking shoulder to shoulder to each other. The castle was quite large and this amazed Kios except for Lucetta, he kept on looking around like a country bumpkin who has first seen a big city.

It was Kios' first time to see this type of exquisite designs, even though he can't remember anything about the past he can see that this designs are not easy to make.

Because the castle was large coupled with the servants and maid being very busy looking for their young miss, the two of them didn't see any of them so Lucetta brought Kios towards his father, at the King's throne.

The once heavily guarded room was now devoid of people, this made Lucetta frown. Basically, the King's throne should be the must guarded place because this is where the king always stay. But the situation right now is that not even a shadow of the king's guards can be seen around.

"Lucetta your castle is quite gloomy." Kios also noticed that their was not even a single person in the castle which made him think that Lucetta and his father must have dislike other's company.

Unlike Kios who knows nothing about the castle, Lucetta clearly knows that the castle is usually filled with people especially this time. But since they saw no one up until now, then something must have happen.

With this line of thought, Lucetta pushed open the door of the King's throne and dragged Kios and the two of them went inside the room.

What greet the two of them is something they would never expect.
