1 Beta Test

'Welcome to Forgotten Kingdoms' Reywd stared at the title screen of his new beta access to this latest VR venture. 'I can't believe I was selected...This is super crazy, I wonder why I qualified? I should totally stream this!' Reywd pondered while logging into his live stream. 'Hey all, boy have I got a surprise for you guys today' Rewyd checked his stream count after initiating the chat. '0 viewers.' ... 'Another day in the life of a basement dweller high school dweeb' Reywd thought. He checked his timestamp, 6am maybe everybody was still sleeping...His only window was covered but the sun was up he could tell from the shadows cast through even with the cover. It was only fabric, it depicted his favorite rpg character from his favorite game. 'Screw it, their loss I'm not waiting. I'll fall behind the meta if I don't get started now free to play or not every game, even VR games are going to be a grind this won't be any different.' Reywd clicked 'Login or New Account' click 'Create account' click 'Terms and service' click 'Account name' Click 'Charecter creation.' After reviewing his options he weighed his pros and cons. He didn't like playing the meta in games but this was day one no stats or builds or info at all. The game was a total ghost for info but that was the draw for him. He liked indy style games with a low and slow following, made it more fun playing sleeper games before it became popular and if it turned out to be a dud just move on. 'Well it looks like there are 3 starter classes that can be upgraded with in game professions so there is diversity. Classic. Brute strength, melee damage, tank. Fast, agile, hit and run, assasin. Last but not least, ranged, burst mage....No healer/support class? I mean tanky is support I guess but everybody knows those players focus on the raw power aspect and tanking is just an added bonus side effect... Ugh this game is gonna be a drag of morons flexing stupidly as the party runs away from certain death...Still I have to try it. I don't wanna skip it as a beta tester I might be able to give feed back that makes the game bearable in the future!' Reywd hated tanks for the sole reason that often tanks didn't actually tank. 'Mages are op, I like a challenge. Assassins get out classed fairly quickly and I really hate playing with a bad tank. I guess I'll be a tank until I know how the game works and change my class later once I better understand what suits my play style.' Click 'Charecter Name.' Reywd looked at his window cover. 'Hmmm let's try that...' 'Name in use please try another.' 'Of course it is... Hmmm.' Reywd was trying to think of a good name his usual gamer tag was from another video game a long standing tradition among gamers as a nod to personality, style and recognition on enjoyable games from the past. Most of his peers that played games as well would often brag about their achievements in popular games, conversations he had overheard in passing but seldom participated in. "Got it! This game is about lost places so I should use that to think of a name." He told himself out loud. 'Tietor' Click. He donned his VR set as the screen prompted his entry into the game world. 6:11am
