What had once been a never ending cycle of different shades of darkness filtering the night sky of Huaco Mundo had been, for any and all intents and purposes, transformed following the cataclysmic event.
The cataclysmic event caused by the actions of a, for lack of a better word, rather traumatised reality warper.
And of course the main cause behind the scenes.
The Hogyoku.
Reality's magic 8 ball.
Light filled the once bleak world, bringing with it a serene sense of calm to the once ravenous and hungry world and though the sands hadn't and would likely never truly disappear, the reiatsu in the air had made it, for the most part, far more controllable. And though not as important as it once was given the rather common ability of flight, much more traversable.
Las Noches, what had once been though impressive, a rather simple set of large buildings next to each other had changed to six long towers that threatened to pierce the very sky themselves. The five towers that that housed half of the True Espada's personal armies. All five of them positioned in a circle, all surrounded the enormous singlular floating sphere.
The sphere meant to house All Nine True Espada, including the leader himself.
The First Sun Of Huaco Mundo, formerly known as Coyote Stark.
Josh Groban, his face held a hint of amusement, watched on over the rest of his kingdom, his posture relaxed as he rested his head on one arm, the fur armband coming in somewhat handy for once. His other arm held aloft one of his signature pistols.
When he noticed the sudden spike in fear from one of the lower lifeforms daring to go against him he simply sighed as he raised his hand. His gun rapidly charging a cero that never fully fired. A cero that had immediately disappeared following it's appearance.
He ignored the cowards scream that echoed from the edge of the vast desert, thousands of miles away, he called his kingdom, an indifferent look to his face. A golden plus sign momentarily appeared inside the bone eyepiece that had covered his left eye all those years ago.
Honestly. If you're going to join a rebellion. Atleast have the nerves to die with it.
...
Three types of Hollows filled the new world. The new empire.
The first, as mentioned earlier, are the True Espada.
Beings capable of unlocking their true inner power.
Beings capable of following in the Dragon's footsteps. Of reaching the heights, though more thanks to the Hogyoku then anything else, he had discovered.
But above all, beings that could stay in their released forms without any drain.
The tell-tale sign of one, though this did not apply to the Sun nor Dragon, was the Golden Plus symbol etched onto their heads.
Currently, throughout the entirety of Huaco Mundo, only eleven qualified.
The second kind, the regular Espada. Beings who had reached the most powerful, natural, state possible to them. Once again, thanks to Hogyoku. Beings who had been gifted their Vasto Lorde state by the First Sun of Huaco Mundo.
And unlike the first type, hundreds qualified.
Most of them making the majority of the True Espada's personal soldiers. Each Espada had their own preference. Some, like the Dragon himself, preferred to work alone, while others such as the mad scientist had near hundreds.
Each Espada, like the True ones, had a symbol of their own. A vertical blue line in place of the golden plus.
And then there was the last type, and what made up the majority of the hollows in the Hollow World.
The Arrancar.
Or otherwise known as F.L's.
Failed Lordes.
Hollows, as ever, spared little time for beating around the bush.
Hollows touched and rejected by the power of the Hogyoku. Their failed evolutions forever preventing them from greatness. Each and every single one, unlike the others, had a simple horizontal blue line etched onto their heads.
...
The True Espada were very rarely seen together, most of them generally left to their own devices. The only requirement expected of them being loyalty.
While some, much like the Shark Empress would rather spend their time training their personal Espada, her giant bone blade showing the masses, mostly Arrancar, that showed up to watch a taste of true power..
Some, like the Four-Armed Mantis preferred to occasionally beat-up their own followers.
"I swear if this is all you maggots are capable off... At this rate I definitely won't need to go second-stage..."
Some, like the Blue Panther, prefered to spend their time training, though given Groban's rules, training set as far as they could manage from Las Noches.
Training to reach the esteemed inner power.
"I... I have to... No. I will reach it!" The Blue +Espada howled.
...
But above all, perhaps the greatest change to come from the event.
From the bang that had shifted Time and Space like a smart, drunk toddler playing Jenga.
Fell solely on the single +Espada, currently stood before an army of Failed Lordes. An indifferent look to his eye as he gazed at the leader that stood before him. The leader of the 'Rebellion'.
Barragan Louisenbarg. The only former +Espada. The brand on his skeleton head forever scarred.
"See he's not holding back... Sending you..." The Walking Plague's raspy voice would've sent any other creature running.
But Ulquiorra Cifer, The First Sun's Dragon, wasn't just any creature. Out of all of the other +Espada, he was the only not to stay in his released state.
His own unblemished head a reminder to the rest, of his difference. Of his place.
His unreleased state, a taunt.
And, as he watched the Skeleton king raise his death-covered axe no doubt intent on throwing it. Ulquiorra did what he always did when encountering any adversary.
He let him have the first shot.

Author Notes: A brief look at what Gremmy's little Hogyoku-infused episode ended up causing.

Hope you enjoyed! Don't forget to leave feedback!
Edit: Expect a Wandenreich update in about 3-4 chapters.
Edt2: While most of the Espada will be in character... Personality wise, Ulquiorra And Coyote Stark are both going to be the exceptions. Given one's embraced the Hogyoku and the other one turned into Abridged Groban.
Edit3: Changed the number of towers when I realised five of them would technically be empty.
