"You don't have to-" Soren tried to say but Zadie held her hand up to stop him.

"I should. This secret has been eating at me for so long." She looked up at him, smiling softly. "Maybe it will do me some good to tell someone."

"You don't have to tell me."

"You are the only one I will tell." She said stubbornly. "Wither I tell you or no one. So ... will you listen to me, Soren?"

"What about Issac? Aren't you closer to him?" Soren asked, getting back to cutting.

"Close is not the relationship I would describe that I have to him." She shrugged. "We are ... contracted. That would explain it better."

"That sounds sad," Soren remarked, staring at the skull peeking through the blood running down her head.

"We like that relationship, thank you very much." She said as he began the Craniotomy operation to remove a bone flap first.
