Betty, Archie and Jughead were friends since... well since they can remember. Archie and him always protected Betty... But they unfortunately grew up. The word love became more real and also understood the world more. Archie and Jughead both had feelings for her but he didn't have the guts to tell her. Archie took the chance. There wasn't any place for Jughead anymore and without Betty there just was no reason to continue, right?
