"How did your date go?" Mi Cha asked Tan excitedly immediately after he entered the house.

"I don't know. She probably feels I wasn't excited to see her," Tan said after telling Mi Cha everything.

"I would feel so if I was in her shoes. But you know you'll have to tell her about your friendship with Ji-Tae?" Mi Cha asked.

"I know I'll have to. But I can't bring myself to do so yet. I will tell her only after they resolve everything between them tonight. But I owe it to Ji-tae to tell him first," Tan said.

"That's you stalling, but I won't say it. About the engagement party tomorrow, are you going?" Mi Cha asked, changing the topic.

"That's for Ji-Tae to decide. When he returns, I'll know what he intends to do about it. I'm so exhausted, Mi Cha. My simple life has gotten so complicated," Tan said with a sad smile.
