9 Unexpected

It was about time when the magic stops. To be back to reality. An explosive embarrassment wave went from Mika's feet climbing up to her head and making its way out with a bang. Her face turned beet red. She realized the distance between their faces, she was seeing Noah in the eyes, close enough to be damaged by it. Her hands started shaking in a different way now. She was blushing so hard as if the moment she was waiting from her dreams and fantasy was truly here. She had constant shocks of happiness and freaking out coming from her heart, reaching to the very end of her fingertips. All energies around her were shouting, 'UWA UWA UWA!' On the other hand, Noah, was still not back to reality. He was still as a rock. He was busy staring into her eyes and enjoying the bliss of it. He didn't even notice the quick change of expressions on Mika's face.

She flinched and pushed Noah away with all her force, making him come back to reality and realize that what was there, wasn't actually a dream. It was actually happening.

Without wasting any more time, she dashed away from the site, paying no attention to why she was here and who was around her.

Nate and Grace were standing there as if they saw the eternal truth. They tried speaking but words didn't come out. It wasn't like Mika and Noah, it was more as if, being hit by a rock and then falling right off the cliff. Their mouths were wide open. It wasn't like Noah neither Mika to react that way. Mika, someone who didn't even let anyone touch her without permission and Noah, the one who was never someone to tease a girl or look in her eyes for that long. It was too much to take in. But Grace, being an expert in a reading situation, realized it was the moment of their life. The moment they've been waiting for all their life. The only problem was their soul self knew it, but their stubborn human self needed to win each other.

"I'll get her", Noah dashed out as he was smirking. But at that moment Grace could see a smile filled with happiness behind it.

"What? When? Who? What?", Nate was baffled.

Grace giggled. She was so happy at the sight. Even more, she was amused by Nate's priceless expression.

"Why are you laughing?", he enquired.

"Nothing. I guess our band's going to be a lot of fun than I imagined."

"Well- I guess so?", he scratched his head. He was still confused by what happened. Moreover, Mika! Not someone else but Mika! Left him alone with Grace.

'I guess I'm blessed by my angels today.', he pulled up a smile in gratitude.

"I think it's going to be a while for these two. Shall we head out?", Grace jumped up in front of Nate.

'I CAN DIE WITH NO REGRETS!', his eyes filled up. 'Oh no wait! I can't die! I take it back! I won't let Grace be alone! No!'

"Nate? I think you are talking to yourself again.", Grace laughed a little uncomfortably.

"Oh! Sorry! I spaced out again."

Grace giggles, "You are a funny one."

"Yeah? Should we head out? I'll show you the fun one!", he winked at her.

"Alright!", she beamed out.

While on the other side of the campus:

"Stupid! Baka Noah!" Mika was screaming out in front of the vending machine. She couldn't let herself be free from that beet-red face. Being tired from running so fast, she decided to get a drink.

She picked out strawberry milk but unlike Nate, her luck wasn't with her. The bottle was stuck. Not willing to come out.

Mika teared up. She was overwhelmed by all the situations happening in front of her.

"Okay now! first, you're out of chocolate milk! And now you are not giving me my strawberry one either! What do you think you are huh? Just a mere vending machine! Don't mess up with me!", she started thumping her leg on the ground. "Just give me my milk! I swear I will destroy you!"

Some steps away Noah came, he was panting from all the running he did to find her. As she was shouting at the machine, he was somehow related. "After all this time, I can't believe I found you.", he whispered.

While Mika was busy shouting at the machine, she realized that it won't do any good. She teared up. A hungry Mika is an emotional Mika. "My milk…", she mumbled.

"You know, instead of shouting, just beat up the guy until he gives what you have.", Nate came from behind.

Mika was confused by his words and a little scared by his presence. She looked at him, expecting him to act. He grabbed the whole thing and started shaking it. Her strawberry milk fell off. Mika's eyes sparkled. She was overjoyed. Noah's sadist side was rising up, it was hard to control it down. He reached down and pulled out the bottle.

"Here.", he handed it over to Mika as she was trying to maintain the distance. She was reluctant at first, but then she gathered up her courage and took the bottle.

In a fraction of second, she turned back and got ready to dash over. She only ran four steps away when Noah grabbed her by her hoodie's cap.

"NO! leave me! Leave me! Leave me!", she was still moving her feet to escape, but it looked like a person running at one position.

"Enough!", Noah's voice got serious. He moved his lips closer to his ear and stated in the most dominating voice as possible, "If you try to run right now, I promise the consequences won't be good. Be a good girl and stay still." His voice was running down through her whole body. It was the sadist side of Noah talking. Mika knew it won't be good to mess with it. And somehow, she didn't want to mess with it. She was feeling warm being close to him.

She stopped struggling at once and stood still in one place. Nate chuckled. Mika was really a baby. Moreover, he was also feeling a sense was contentment as he stood there with her.

He moved to her front and bent over to reach her eye to eye.

"That's like a good girl.", he patted her head giving her a gentle smile.

Mika was flushed. Her head exploded with a big POOF. She still didn't dare to move. Instead, Noah moved this time. He walked ahead of her heaving her head with a smirk on his face.

"AHHHHHH!", Mika screamed out of embarrassment.

'This year is going to be fun.'
