11 You are the dragon

Xaddrin opened his eyes with the rays of the sun hitting his skin. He moved his neck and halted when he felt something sharp at his neck.

He narrowed his eyes to get a better view of the person holding a sword to his neck. He furrowed his brows on seeing that it was the knight.

"I know that you are the dragon," Adran stated to him. "Get up now," he demanded.

Xaddrin moved and got himself up from the ground. He went on to dust his clothes, he paid no serious attention to the sword at his neck. When his robes were clean, he raised his gaze to meet Adran's gaze.

The knight wore a scary look on his face. To normal people he would be scary but to Xaddrin it looked like a child throwing a tantrum.

"You got the prince to lie for you," Adran let out. With a bored expression on his face, the dragon looked at him unfazed by the accusations that was being blamed on him.

"I heard the two of you in the night. I dont know how but I am sure that you are the dragon," he added.

Adran pressed his sword harder on the male's neck. He scratched his skin but Xaddrin didn't bleed. To kill a dragon one needed to stab at their necks as such the scales in his neck were harder than a crocodiles back. It took him years and years to ensure that nothing could ever harm his neck.

He was yet to meet a women that could pierce through the skin on his neck. Hence he wasn't even a little bit worried about the knight. The ignorant male couldn't kill him even if ge came at the dragon with an army.

"Stupidity cant be mistaken for bravery," Xaddrin finally spoke out. His voice was low but threatening. He reached his hand to touch thr sword, with two of his fingers he grabbed it and broke the edge of the sword.

Adran gulped.

"You are right, I am a dragon," Xaddrin admitted.

"Aaahh," Adran screamed and raised his sword to attack the dragon. Xaddrin was forced to raise his hand and hold the sharp end of the sword when Zhakhil jumped infront of him to protect him.

Scales formed at the point that touched the sword to prevent his from getting hurt. Zhakhil closed his eyes tightly shut to wait for the sword to reach him but it never did.

"What did I say about stupidity," Xaddrin asked and moved his hand that held the sword. Adran was flung away from where they stood, he was sent flying by the dragon.

"Are you crazy?" he screamed scolding the prince. The mistake that he had made jumping in front of the sword like that made his heart skip a bit in fear. Afraid that if he wasn't fast at reacting the prince would be injured and hurt.

He didn't like that he put his life in danger. He was more than capable of taking care of himself and didn't need him to risk his life.

"Aaahh," Adran let out as his back hit a huge tree next to a river. He dropped right after and fell unconscious. He had fallen very hard to the ground.

"Don't ever do that again," Xaddrim let out in a threateningly low voice.

He moved to go and check on the knight. He walked straight following the direction that he threw him at. He was angry, angry at the knight for causing trouble so early in the morning. Angry at Zhakhil for throwing himself in the line of danger to protect him.

Mostly angry at himself for how he reacted. He was always a calm person but the prince provoked him to be the opposite and he didn't like that.

"I need to get hold of myself," he said to himself.
