20 Proof of love

Zhakhil's hands dropped. The realisation that the dragon had always known of his feelings came as a shock to him. He had always deduced that his feelings were his secret.

He was scared that his dragon would run away from him after learning that he loved him. But he always knew the truth.

"When you knew my truth. Why did you pretend you didn't?" He dared to ask. The dragon walked away not answering his question.

Zhakhil thought about what Adran said, "It is better to fight to fight for love than watch it fade away."

He wasn't ready to let his dragon forget about him and move on. His anger was a sign that he cared. He ran after the dragon with all his might, he had already allowed the male to walk out of his life once and he was miserable.

But now he had the chance to fix it all and get him back. To explain what was in his heart and the misunderstanding the dragon saw.

He reached Xaddrin's room before he closed the door. He held the door from closing, seeing his hand at the door Xaddrin stopped the doors before they hurt him.

He glared at the prince. It was reckless of him to put his hand by the door, he could have gotten hurt. And yet he still did it.

"Have you lost your mind?" Xaddrin scolded to him.

"Yes," he admitted. He had lost his mind long ago. Now only the thoughts of the male run through his mind from morning to evening. And when he slelt then he would dream only of his handsome dragon.

"I lost myself in you," he confessed.

Xaddrin scoffed. He got that his decision to leave had hurt Zhakhil but that was no reason for him to play such games. He already broke his heart and now he ran after him to rub salt to his wounds.

"I love you," he let out.

Xaddrin froze, the three magical words that he had always wished to hear. They were uttered to him so easily and yet instead of happiness it made him sad.

He had heard him say the same thing to Adran and in that moment it was as thought the man was mocking him.

"I am not in the mood for your jokes. Please just leave me be," he let out tired. His feelings were all over the place and it was tiring for him to have the that. He needed to get some rest.

"I am not joking and if you let me then I will prove it," Zhakhil said.

Xaddrin would be lying if he said that he wasn't tempted to take him up on his offer and see how he was going to prove his love. It had only been a few days since they separated, even if he had found sons connection to Adran.

There was no way that it could beat the feeling his prince had for him. The prince had loved him since the day the human learned what love meant. It was not easy to let go of one's first love.

But the boy was also very inexperienced. So perhaps he was only ever infatuated by his beauty and learned love with Adran.

He was stuck. He had conflicting ideas in his head. A part of him warned him that opening his doors to Zhakhil would only break his heart more. The other part of him warned him that he would regret it of he didn't give Zhakhil a chance.

"Give me a chance, please."

Against his better judgement, Xaddrin opened the doors and let Zhakhil into the room. He hoped that it wasn't a mistake to let the boy in again. There was only so much a person could handle even a dragon.

"How will you prove that you love me," he questioned impatiently.

Zhakhil moved his hands and started unbuttoning his clothes. Xaddrin raised his brows curious as to what he was up to. Seeing the male remove his shirt pushed him to ask, "What are you doing?"

Zhakhil let his shirt fall from his body. Leaving for the dragon to feast his eyes on his baby white skin completely flawless.

"I've heard that one can prove love by giving the firsts to their lovers," he uttered innocently. "You will believe me if I give myself to you, won't you?"

Xaddrin's jaw dropped. Of all the things he expected the prince to say. That was the last thing that came to mind, he was shocked beyond words.
