18 Make him jealous

Zhakhil wanted to kill the knight. The fool had admitted before his dragon that they were in love. He was trying hard to get the male to notice him and the Adran had to go and ruin the chances he had.

And he didnt even get a reason for why that happened. Right now they were on board a ship sailing away to find the mysterious land that Xaddrin was headed to.

The situation he found himself in was mocking him. He found his dragon again and he couldn't say anything to him. Their was so much standing between him and the male that he couldn't find the words.

What was worse was finding the right time to tell him how he felt? The dragon was either busy with Iggi or moody. He had become unreachable since they left the market place.

"Hey," Adran greeted joining him. Zhakhil was drained, too tired to reply to him.

"Don't be angry at me. I did that to help you," Adran stated. The prince looked up at him with questions in his eyes, he wanted to ask how come that was for his own good. But he kept hush not interested in getting his hopes up and have them crushed.

"How did Xaddrin react with you after what I said?"

"He hates me," Zhakhil let out. He didnt think that his dragon could hate him more than before but underestimated his luck. Fate hated him and it constantly made his life miserable.

"Then he was affected by the fact you might care for me and not him," Adran said casually.

The prince halted. He raised his gaze at the knight. He came to a realisation, his dragon reacted even worse because he thought that he had feelings for the knight.

"What are trying to say?" He asked to confirm if he was on the same page as the male.

"It means that underneath that anger, he cares. Maybe he is masking his care for you by pretending to hate you," Adran informed to him.

Zhakhil considered his suggestion. It didn't seem possible but it wouldn't make any sense. Why would his dragon pretend to hate him if he loved him? If he was concerned for him then why would he push him away.

"Why would he do that?"

Adrian shook his head, he didnt understand a thing of what went on in Xaddrin's head. He had not been with them for long and already he could see that the dragon loved Zhakhil but for some reason he was keeping his distance and wasn't minding being with someone else.

He just wanted to help out his new friend. Jealousy was always the fastest way to get a man to open his heart and express how he felt.

As he confessed that Zhakhil loved him, he had his eyes on the dragon the whole time. He saw all the emotions that went through his eyes and knew that their love was mutual.

But he couldn't figure out why the male was choosing to turn away from his feelings rather than embrace them.

"I don't know why he is doing this but I do know how we can push him to accept what he feels," he let out.

"How?" The prince jumped at his suggestion very fast. It would be nice to hear the dragon admit that he was important. He valued the dragon with all of his life and it wouldn't hurt to know the male felt the same way.

"Pretending that we are in love and make him jealous," he spoke. "He won't be able to handle it and eventually he will have no choice but to confess," he added.

Zhakhil was lost in thought thinking of the idea that Adran had just offered him when he felt the latter's lips on his cheeks. He shot his gaze at the male stunned that the man dared to kiss him.

A kiss on the cheek was still a kiss in his book and only his dragon had that right. "You are right, this will be an adventure to remember baby," Adran said.

Zhakhil opened his mouth to speak but heard a cough behind him and stopped. He turned around and found Iggi and Xaddrin standing their.

Xaddrin didn't look too happy. He was furious while Iggi just stood there enjoying the show.
