1 Found you

"Happy Birthday, my beautiful daughter." Ramona Fey, the greatest witch in town said to her 7-year-old daughter as she gave her a peck on both cheeks.

"Thank you, mother," Eleanor exclaimed as she gave her mother the tightest hug she could give. Just in time, Edward ran down the stairs with a present in hand. He came to the kitchen where Eleanor and her mother were waiting.

"This is for you, my little sister. Happy birthday!" 12-year-old Edward smiled as he handed his gift to his sister. Eleanor gasped and widened her eyes in excitement. She opened the bag, accidentally ripping it off, and then revealing a small brown teddy bear.

"This is so cute! Thank you, Eddie!" Eleanor exclaimed as she gave her brother a hug as well. The family were having fun celebrating the birthday of the little one in the family despite that they lacked a father.

Eleanor was evidently happy in celebrating her birthday but deep down she wished that her father was here to celebrate it with them. Rudolf Fey, the greatest wizard in the town died from an ambush—as to what the town believes it to be, but Ramona knew that it was never an ambush that killed her husband. Ramona still hoped that Rudolf was alive somewhere since Rudolf's body was never found in the scene. And of course, Eleanor and Edward do not know this for they are still little and must remain pure and innocent.

Ramona's life was hard when she still had Edward on her belly, having to constantly move to places since the town knew that she was a witch. She wanted to live peacefully like she is one of the humans that exists but for some reason, she was always found until they moved to Flor de Ville, a small village far from the city. The village was welcoming, no one knew about Ramona being a witch and because of that, they have been living there ever since Edward was born, and Ramona prays that they will be able to live in peace. The Fey family were welcomed and treated like they were human beings which were a good thing and Ramona prays that it will stay that way.

The family was peculiar. They might be a family by blood with a mother who is the greatest witch and a father who is also the greatest wizard in the century, but only Edward inherited such powers. Edward can control fire, break a spell, and transform into someone else. But Eleanor was normal. Ramona asked the moon goddess for the reason why Eleanor was normal, but the only answer that she was given was to wait.

"Who likes cake?" Ramona asked as she handed each of her children a slice. The chocolate cake was Eleanor's favourite and Ramona, being a good mother she is, took note of that.

"Chocolate cakes will always be delicious," Eleanor stated as she hungrily took a huge bite on her slice earning a laugh from Ramona and Edward. Eleanor was beautiful—Ramona thanked the Moon Goddess for that, any man would want to marry this child, that is for sure. Her wavy hair which was put into a bun and her captivating grey eyes were from Ramona as Edward looked more of his dad.

"Better hurry up, children. It's way past your bedtime." Ramona said as she started to clean the table. Edward and Eleanor groaned as they took the last bite of their cake. The little ones hurriedly went upstairs to prepare for bed.

Eleanor went to her room to change and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She was dressed in a Hello Kitty pyjamas when she went to bed. Eleanor played with her teddy bear as she waited for her mother to come up and read her a bedtime story.

"Good night, Elly," Edward said as he peeked on Eleanor's bedroom door that was opened. She gave her brother a smile and said her good night as well just in time, Ramona entered the room with The Little Prince book in hand.

"Are you ready for your bedtime story?" Ramona smiled as Eleanor nodded eagerly. Ramona positioned herself comfortably in the bed and started the bedtime story.

It was 1.00 AM and the full moon shined brightly in the windows of Eleanor's bedroom. Everyone in the house was asleep, but Eleanor was awoken by whispers of someone calling her name.

"Eleanor." At first, Eleanor ignored it but when the calls became annoying for her liking, she became wide awake.

"Follow my voice." The whispers said as Eleanor got out of bed. She opened her door slowly and followed the voice which leads outside their backyard. For a 7-year-old, she bravely went downstairs despite that it was dark since the lights were off. She opened the doors which leads to their backyard and went outside.

Eleanor looked around trying to listen to where the voice is now but was met with silence. She was about to go back inside when she saw a silhouette from the distance. Bravely, she went towards the silhouette, barefoot and with the teddy bear on her little hands.

"Mister?" She called out as the wind blew. The man turned around. Eleanor was afraid but then felt butterflies. The feeling was new but she knew that this man would not hurt him. The man was tall, very tall. He had dirty blonde hair and glowing red eyes, his skin was pale as he wore a black prince-like or Victorian suit.

"Are you alright, Mister?" Eleanor asked as she grabbed the hand of the man, worried due to the paleness of his skin. Spark blew like wildfire and Eleanor immediately let go of his hand.

"Ah, mate." He whispered as he bent down in one knee, taking Eleanor's hand in his and giving her knuckles a kiss.

"What is your name, beautiful maiden?" He asked as he stared into Eleanor's eyes.

"Eleanor. How about you?" She could not help but stare back since she was mesmerized by its dark red eyes.

"Damien." He smiled as he stroke Eleanor's cheeks. This man was beautiful, and Eleanor could not deny that.

"How did you get in here?" She asked as she looked around in their gated house.

"I have my ways," Damien smirked. But then, Damien heard footsteps from the inside of the house. Someone was coming. Damien grabbed something from his pocket, revealing a silver bracelet as he put it in the hands of Eleanor.

"Do this for me and keep this with you. Do not tell this to anyone else, do you understand me? Keep this as a secret." Damien asked as Eleanor nodded.

"I will come back to you soon, my beloved." He said as he gave Eleanor a peck on her forehead before he vanished. The warmth and the butterflies that the child was feeling was gone as the door opened.

"Eleanor!" Ramona shouted as she frantically ran barefoot towards her daughter who was in the middle of their backyard.

"What happened? Did something happened?" Ramona asked as she took hold of her daughter, her eyes wide in fear. Eleanor shook her head signalling a No but Ramona smelled something else.

"Who were you talking to?" Her mother asked as she looked at Eleanor's eyes.

"Damien." And with that answer, Ramona ran carrying her child back to their house. Closed and locked all the doors as they hurriedly went up the stairs.

Ramona went to Edward's room to wake him up and gave instructions to Eleanor and Edward to pack only what they need for they were moving by sunrise. The children were confused but still followed their mother's orders.

As Eleanor packed her things, she secretly put the silver bracelet into a box and kept it inside the luggage safe and sound. Whoever that man was, she wanted to meet him again.
