2 Again

It has been 10 years since the Fey family moved out of the village to London. As soon as Ramona smelled the scent of a vampire on her daughter and the mention of 'Damien' on that very night, she frantically told her children that they will be moving out as soon as possible. Edward and Eleanor were confused at first but judging by the looks of their scared mother, they obeyed.

The Fey family have moved into their grandparents' home which was in London and decided to settle in forever just to protect the children, especially Eleanor.

In this world, vampires, fairies, werewolves, witches, and other mythical creatures never go well with each other, and for thousands of years, they have been co-existing with the humans peacefully. Because of this, the moon goddess has created mates for everyone but the situation of being mated to a different creature other than your own was rare. The situation between Ramona and Rudolf was rare. They were mates, but Ramona was a witch, and Rudolf was a wizard. Nevertheless, a mate is a mate—someone who is destined to be yours forever, and nothing can break that destiny apart.

"Eleanor, hurry up! We're gonna be late in class." Edward groaned as he impatiently waited for his sister in the front door, watching the time tick to a 7.36 AM.

"I'm coming!" Eleanor shouted as she hurriedly grabbed her backpack from the living room, and went straight to the garage as Edward was heating up the car.

Edward rolled his eyes at his sister's unpunctuality as Eleanor settled herself in the front seat. As soon as they arrived at school which was ten minutes far from home, both hurriedly ran towards their class just in time for the school bell to ring, signalling the start of class.

"Woah. You still have a bed hair, girl." Madelaine, Eleanor's blonde friend, teased as Eleanor arrived in her seat. She groaned in reply and tried to fix her hair, pulling it to a bun the last minute.

Time flew by too quickly and it was now lunchtime. The ladies settled in their usual booth, waiting for their other friends to arrive. When their group started to pile in, everyone was into the topic about this upcoming party Talon—the most popular and hottest boy at school will be having tonight.

"You should definitely come," Madelaine said facing Eleanor. "Are you out of your mind? I am not allowed to go out, Mads." Eleanor sighed in reply.

"So, what? Sneak out or something." Madelaine shrugged like it was a simple thing to do. Party was not in the list of Eleanor's taste and the mere thought of sneaking out? That will not happen, ever.

"My family will kill me, I swear to you."

"Just shut up and live for once, will you? I will be waiting outside. I'll come to pick you up." Madelaine said, ending the conversation. Eleanor does nothing but released a sigh in defeat. She hopes that everything will go well tonight, at least.

The clock shows 4.57 PM. Eleanor was on her desk, finishing all homework as soon as possible. Madelaine will be picking her up at 8.00 PM and thank the heavens, she still has plenty of time to spare. Eleanor was anxious for the events that will happen tonight, hence, the tapping of her right foot underneath.

"I can't do this." She muttered to herself as she finished the last problem with her Math homework. She sighed again for the nth time of the day and decided to cancel everything tonight. As she was about to send Madelaine a message, her phone dinged.

Madelaine: Don't even think about cancelling the stuff we have planned for tonight!!!! I will not forgive you! >:(

It was as if Madelaine could read Eleanor's mind. She let out a giggle and decided to secretly prepare the clothing she will be wearing for this party. Eleanor was too busy rummaging through her closet when a knock was heard from her bedroom door. She let out a squeal and hurriedly got out from her walk-in closet, and was greeted by her grandmother.

"Hello, grandma." Eleanor greeted, her heart beating rapidly due to the fright.

"Hi, dear. What were you doing?" Her grandmother asked, offering her granddaughter a smile.

"Well—uh, I was decluttering my stuff." Eleanor anxiously replied. "Well, I am super busy as of the moment but we will talk in dinner, yeah?" She continued hoping that her grandmother would let her go—thankfully, she did.

"Alright. I will see you at dinner." As soon as her grandmother went downstairs, Eleanor sighed in relief. Well, that was scary. She thought to herself as she cleaned the rest of the mess.

6.03 PM. The family were currently gathered, having their dinner altogether. Everyone was talking about the usual topics—how was school, how did my day go, etc. This was boring for Eleanor, but she was thankful to have a family. As the clock neared 8.00 PM, Eleanor was feeling anxious at the same time scared. It was still her first time to sneak out of the house and she kept on thinking on whether she would be able to do this successfully.

Dinner came to an end at about 6.48 PM. Eleanor made an excuse to go to her room early to finish homework and school projects which were due tomorrow. As she made it back to her room, she was thankful that Edward did not annoy her today, and that he has work at a nearby McDonalds this 7.00 PM. She hurriedly took a shower and prepared herself for the party.

She wore a black fitted dress which ended mid-thigh, paired with black block heels. Thank the heavens Madelaine lent me these clothes, she thought. She decided to leave her hair just the way it is and decided to apply light make-up and some accessories. As she was about to grab a random bracelet, she came across the silver one that was given to her by that man from 10 years ago. She could not help but think of him. The butterflies and warmth that she felt when they met were the ones she was craving for. She does not know what he was to make her feel that way but she knew that she had to meet that man again.

Her phone dinged, signalling a message. That was her cue. She hurriedly wore the bracelet and inserted the pillow underneath the blankets and switched off the lights. With her purse on her hand, she looked at the window. Madelaine's Audi was already parked and she could see her waiting inside.

Adrenaline was rushing through her veins when she climbed out of the gigantic house. Thankfully, her room was situated in the corner with a ladder that was covered with leaves—because of that, she made it out safely.

"That's my girl." Madelaine smiled as Eleanor got inside. They both giggled and drove away.

"So, I must be back home at 1.00 AM, okay? You will be my chauffeur for tonight." Eleanor stated as Madelaine rolled her eyes.

"Duh, I know, El. I literally took you out of that box, and I am aware that I will be responsible for you." Madelaine said sincerely as she gave Eleanor a pat on her thigh.

"You look sexy, by the way." She added earning a 'thank you' from Eleanor. After that, both drove around in silence as Eleanor was staring at the bracelet in her wrist.

After minutes of driving, the ladies have finally arrived. The house was packed from the outside, and she bet the inside was too. Expensive cars were lined up outside, and she thanked the heavens that Madelaine came to pick her up with her Audi.

"Let's get this party started." Madelaine smiled as she took Eleanor's hand in hers and began to walk towards the house.

"I'll go get us some drinks." She said as Eleanor nodded in reply. Eleanor was right when she thought that the inside was packed. There were people everywhere—every corner, every space, probably the whole house was full of people. The house was huge, and thank the heavens the ceiling was high, making the house look spacious.

As Eleanor was looking around, feeling a little lost, a hand tapped on her shoulder. She turned around revealing Talon.

"Hey! You made it! I'm assuming you have Madelaine with you?" He slurred as he swings a hand over her shoulder.

"Yeah! She went to get us drinks." Eleanor replied hoping Talon can hear her despite the loud music. And just in time, Madelaine arrived. Talon removed his hand on Eleanor and transferred it to Madelaine. I swear, I think they look really good together. Eleanor thought to herself.

"Tequila for my lady," Madelaine said as she handed her a glass. Eleanor jokingly bowed as thank you, earning a laugh from Talon and Madelaine.

"The rest of the crew are outside the pool. Playing beer pong. Shall we join?" Talon said over the loud music, as both girls agreed and proceeded outside. But before leaving, Eleanor felt something strange. She knew someone was staring at her, so she looked around in hopes of finding that person before catching up with her friends.

Eleanor stood at the side watching her friends drank and play. She was never fond of drinking and parties, but she was already entertained watching her friends get drunk and make a fool out of themselves. I'm happy I met them. She thought to herself but was then interrupted when she felt a presence beside her.

"What's a beautiful girl doing on the sides?" The boy slurred as he took a hold of her arm. His grip was tight and she knew she could not break off easily. For the first time, she felt scared and hoped that someone would come to save her.

"How about we have fun?" The drunk boy smiled sinisterly as he began to drag Eleanor along towards the house.

"No, let go of me." She fought. Please, someone. She prayed. The boy was annoyed of her fighting back and was about to slap her. Eleanor closed her eyes preparing for the impact but nothing came. She then felt someone behind her, an arm encircled around her waist, and she felt safe. She opened her eyes to see a hand gripping too tightly of the drunkard. All happened too fast but then the boy ran away, from his eyes, fear was evidently showing.

Eleanor's heart was beating too fast but they went back to normal when the man hugged her from behind, his head nuzzled on her neck. She felt warm, protected, and safe. The butterflies and sparks ignited like wildfire. Oh, how I missed this. She thought.

"Damien," She whispered. A hand went up to her chin to raise her head. Their eyes met, grey ones coincided with those glowing red eyes. She felt at peace. They did nothing but stared at each other, admiring one another. The white-haired boy finally spoke, "Eleanor, my beloved. I have looked everywhere for you, and now I have you in my arms, again and I'm certain that I have no plans on letting you go again."

She did not know what Damien meant but he continued, "You are forever mine, and will forever belong to me. Do you understand? I will protect with my life." The sincerity on his voice made her blush but nodded.

"Will you accept me?" Damien whispered.

"Yes."
