16 Be True To Your Heart

Celestia's POV:

No! This can't be happening. I can't be locked up in this cage with Silver Shadow. What am I going to do now? If anyone comes down here, I am doomed. This is against my vows! 

"My sweetness, you don't have to worry about those silly vows. It doesn't matter when you are with me," he said. 

"Let me out of here, you freak of nature!,"I yelled at him. But he was just chuckling. 

" Can you please call me Theo?" 

I turned to him curiously. " So your actual name is Theo?" Of course, he must have another name. Silver Shadow is merely a title. 

His lips curled upwards in a charming smile. " My name is Theodore, but my Siren girls like to call me Theo. Since you are my lover now, would you call me by my name?" 

Theodore! What a strange and beautiful name…I should stop thinking right now. He could know everything that I believe in my mind. 

"For your reference, I am not your lover, and I will never be your lover. I've heard that you have a lot of Siren lovers. Then why do you need me?"

"You do realize that your thoughts and your words don't match at all, do you?" 

He got me there. It is not fair that he can read my mind. 

He pointed his finger at my chest and said," Your heart wants me, but you are punishing yourself by suppressing your desires."

I pushed away his hand out of my way and stood up straight. " You are just tempting me right now. I still haven't forgotten that you stole the moonstone from me. And you hate my father so much. How can I be in love with a trickster like you?"

" I did everything to get your attention, Celestia. What can I do? Your father banished me from your realm. How can I see your adorable face if I don't cause any chaos?"

So he did that all for me? This is absurd! I am making a person sin. 

" Exactly, my love. I have sinned because of you. But I am ready to do it all over again if it means I get to catch a glimpse of you."

His words were sweet, like the fresh mountain honey found in the western regions of highlands. It was hard not to admire him and his words. 

"Give in to your desire, my sweetness. You can't lie to your soul by denying your feelings for me. Admit you are in love with me."

I gasped in horror. "No, I am not in love with you! And let me out of this cage."

He stepped closer to me. There was no more space in the cage for me to move back. Now he was just inches away from me. 

"No, Sweetness, I am not letting you out of here until you confess your true feelings."

This is a tricky situation! I can't just admit that I am attracted to him. 

"What are you doing to me?" I cried out. " Please…let me go. I can't sin by breaking my promise."

"My love, you are an angel. You are not supposed to lie either."

My eyes got watery. I rarely cry. I hate to cry because my tears turn into pearls as soon as they drip down from my eyes. I don't know why I have this gift. This must be something to do with my angelic powers. 

This is the first time I wasn't able to control my tears. Theo got the first drop of my tear in his palms. My tears changed into a white pearl as soon as they touched his skin.

"I'll cherish this pearl forever," he whispered. 

"No, you can't do it. I don't belong to you," I shouted out. " It doesn't matter what I feel. I can't let my people down. I am born in this world to fulfill the prophecy."

"We can do it together, Celestia. You are the Dawn, and I am the Shadow. We both are meant to be together, and no force is more vital than us in all the three realms."

Another tear rolled down my cheek. He caught it immediately. 

"Please let me go," I said again. " My people will never accept me if I were with you."

For the first time, I saw sadness on his face. Theo was always cheerful every time I saw him. 

 " You have given meaning to my life, Celestia. I'll never let you go. Even if the three realms are against us being together, then I am ready to combat everyone for you. I'll destroy each and everyone who dare come in our way."

He cupped my face with his hands and kissed my forehead gently. " Listen to me, Sweetness. I'll be waiting for you tomorrow night in the forest of light. I am giving you a day's time. If you choose me, come to the forest. And I will be leaving for now."

He moved away from me. " Just be true to your heart, Celestia."

After that, he vanished in white smoke slowly, just like all the Sirens do. It took me a while to realize that he has escaped. How did he do that? 

If he is capable of escaping from this cage, then why did he take two days to do it? 

Was he waiting for me? Is that why he surrendered to me in the first place so that he could talk to me?

Hours went by. But I didn't feel like leaving the cage. What am I going to tell my Father? Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching closer to me. It was Darius. His jaw dropped when he saw me. 

"What on Holy Aiden's name are you doing here?" Darius shrieked. 

I looked up at him. "He escaped. And don't ask me how he did it. I have no idea about it either."

"But it is impossible to escape this dungeon. Even the Shadow creatures are incapable of doing it," Darius blurted out in confusion. 

"It turns out Silver Shadow is capable of doing anything and everything," I mumbled.
