1 My Father's Daughter

The chirping of the birds could be heard, the whistling of the wind as they brushed slowly on the windows, The beautiful shadows of the sun had begun to rise as it moved graciously towards the west, everything was peaceful, it was still nine in the morning, the street was filled with the hustle and bustle of the people in Clinton street a street in London.

lying on the bed was a beautiful young girl of twenty years old, her rose Quartz coloured hair and eye gave out her beauty as the rays of the sun crossed into the room, her olive coloured skin glittered as body sprinkled with glitters, she wore a pink Pyjamas which colour, her room also had a pink decor all in it, with all this one would have thought of her to be a princess who had all she ever wanted, but looking close and deeper one would see her brows that had come to fold up as her eyeball rotated with no sense of joy in them, she was just back from University, when she heard of the arrangements her dad had made for her, in which she was compelled to adhere to.

ruminating over her life as she laid her self down on the three feet bed which stayed in her room staring at the POP in the ceiling, that's what it looked like but she was currently in a trance.

Never would she have dreamt of being forced of marrying someone she didn't know, wasn't sure either if she would love him or he would love her back, she had always dreamt of getting married to men like most of the males in the novels she had read, the over doting husbands the once who would love their wife unconditionally.

Caught up in a situation she wasn't sure of how it was going to end, The marriage and all has been arranged without her consent included, she knew her father knew how much she loved him, and the man had tried for her and her younger brothers ever since their mother died, he had taken their responsibilities upon his shoulders and never once has he complained, neither has he remarried ever since their mother died ten years ago when Dandelion was just ten and her twin younger brothers were just seven years old.

He has sold a few of his properties just to send them to school, they made sure they had all that a child would ever need.

Now that she was of age this was the only way she could repay her father, she couldn't cause him more pain. She wasn't sure why her dad would want to force her to do this, he has never forced her to do anything her whole life not even when he could have, she had no idea plan her daddy had for her either she only wished this would not ruin her life, she has always been the type who was too lazy to reply or retort at other peoples word all she has ever craved for was peace, wealth, happiness a loving husband to come on, and a precious family to keep, She was an extreme introvert who was only comfortable with people she wanted to be comfortable with

She only wished to the heavens to help her and put her love and best interest in whoever she was to marry.

Twenty minutes later, she was still deep in thought

"Big sis" her second younger twins voice woke her up from her reverie, she saw them peep through the entrance of her room, only then was she aware of her surroundings and the tears that had come to roll slowly on her face, rubbing them off quickly, she faced her brothers who had come to sit beside her on the bed were the second joy she had other than her Dad and best friend Chloe. she didn't have the heart to make theesShe faced her brothers and saw more reasons why she should accept the marriage (not like she had a choice), she wouldn't be able to school anymore though, she knew her dad was working hard to send them to school as well, he wasn't growing young either, with this in mind and she never wished to find him one day on a sickbed, she raised her head to face her brothers who were just like her, and her priority.

Just like her, her brothers also had a precious and beautiful name, their look was terrific as well, their features were mostly from their mother causing them to look alike and unidentifiable, staring at them she saw the strong men they would turn out to be.

"Are you okay?" it was the first twin who asked breaking the ten minutes silence this time. They were aware of their father's arrangements with their big sister but had been told not to tell her they were also aware of the kind of fantasies their sister was often caught up in and knew forced marriage wasn't what she had always wished for, they only wished the man that would ever marry their sister would love her unconditionally and she would be allowed to fulfil that which she had always wished to be, That which was purely known to the brother alone, not even their father knew.

"I'm Good, just a slight headache, I'll be fine, have you guys eaten, what of Papa has he eaten?" she asked at a go, the longest word she has spoken since she got home.

The twins both shared a knowing look, they knew what their sister was trying to do, they helped her as well.

"No, and Papa has left for work"Chris onyx Adams, the first of the twins, replied.

Her eyes narrowed at his words"does he always leave for work without eating?" she asked.

"yes" Charles opal Adams was the one to reply to her now.

standing up as she slipped her feet into her comfy rabbit slippers she wore in the house.

Grabbing their hands she dragged them all to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast, anytime she was home her brothers refuses to cook giving an excuse of missing her food.

if there's was another thing she took pleasure in other than reading it was cooking, she claims it keeps her mind settled and busy as always.

"sister are you sure you are okay?"Chris asked seriously, he recalled a time how his sister had fainted due to depression even at her young age he knew how hard she had stayed as a mother to him and his brother he couldn't afford to lose her now or Never.

She stared at her brother unsure of how to reply to him her face rose with a forced smile.

I'm okay who do you think I am, I'm rose Dandelions Adams my father's daughter of course and my brothers baby" her brothers smiled at her last words as they watched her dice the green peas needed in the food she was preparing.
