16 "This is going to be something else"

"Give me some space," I said pushing Minami away from me. I didn't know why but I could sense I was blushing a little.

"Okay, I'll go on a date with you." Was what came out of my mouth next. Minami smiled one of his annoying playboy smiles. "When is it?" I asked.

"Let's go... tonight," Minami said. "I almost choked on air after what he said. "Tonight?! You mean tonight tonight?!" I asked shocked. "Sure why not? It'll be fun just like I said," he responded shoving his hands in his pockets. "Tonight at 8," he added. "But meet me outside in front of the building after work is over, we can go pick you out a super hot outfit."

"Excuse me?" I said. "I'll pay for everything so don't worry," Minami said then kissed me on the forehead and walked away. I stood there still not sure of what had just happened. I sighed. "This is going to be something else," I said to myself.

~After Work~

I was waiting outside the front building just like Minami had said to, but he still wasn't there. About ten minutes had passed and I'd just been standing here. Finally as I began to pace back and forth Minami walked out the building. "Sorry, there was some important documents that needed to be taken care of," he explained.

"Let's go," he said grabbing my hand and began to walk to his car. "Hey wait-" I began to say as he dragged me along. "What about my car?" I asked. "I'll have one of my friends come by and drive it home for you," Minami said. "Give me your keys." I reached into my pocket and gave him the keys to my car as he opened his car door for me.

We drove in silence, it was getting a little awkward when finally the silence was broken. "Was that your first time holding hands with a guy?" Minami asked. "I didn't answer but I could feel my face getting hot again. "So it was?" he said a little shocked. "Aw that's cute," he added smiling.

I was now getting annoyed. "I liked it better when it was quiet," I grumbled to myself. This was going to be one long night.
