Chapter two

Today, I was supposed to be meeting Alexander. My parents and his had set up a meeting to understand the rules. One moment I find out I was kicked out of my school and the next I'm marrying a stranger.

And I had to go alone, my parents weren't going with me, so I was pretty anxious throughout the whole travel back to New York City. We were supposed to meet a building that I'm guessing Alexander works. I researched him yesterday night to find out that he's a CEO of Mostelli Enterprises.

Getting to the building wasn't any trouble until I actually got inside. When I stepped in, I looked really stupid out of all the people here. The lobby was amazing, really expensive looking chandeliers and couches were placed. Plus people were all in professional attires while I was wearing jeans and a shirt. I tried shrugging that off and went to the lady who I am hoping is a receptionist.

"Um hello?" I say but it sounded like a squeak. The lady just looks up at me and scans my outfit.

"I'm here to speak with Alexander Mostelli," I say and smile to try to brighten things up.

"Well, he's busy right now. Especially if you are going to show up to his work and ask him to have se-" she gives me a disgusted look on her face.

But I cut her off knowing what she was going to say, "W-what? No, I'm not going to ask him that. We were supposed to have a meeting set up at this time," I explain briefly.

"So you're Eliza Liu?" She asks.

"Yep."

"Take the elevator to the thirtieth floor, there's only one room on that floor, you'll know," she sighs looking back down to do whatever she was doing before.

I gave her a "thanks" and went over to the elevator. While I got in, a man dressed in a suit asked, "Are you an intern here?" I looked up at him. He looked fairly attractive, his brown hair swiped to one side with dark brown eyes.

"No," I say to him before looking back to what's in front of me. I pressed the thirtieth floor while he pressed the twelfth.

"Meeting with Mostelli, I suppose?" He asks me again.

"Yep," was all I replied with hoping he clearly knew I didn't want to talk.

As I reached to the thirtieth floor, I try straightening my outfit before I knock on his door. It was painted with black and a gold plate right next to it saying:

Alexander Mostelli

CEO of Mostelli Enterprises

I knocked on the door once.

No answer.

So I knock on it again, until a woman came out of the room, smirking at me.

I was so confused until a deep, husky voice said, "Come in."

I walked into the room observing, the walls were painted with a deep gray color while his desk was black, so was his chair too.

I stood in front of a man. I was definitely shocked. He had black hair, that was a bit messy but that was what made it so attractive. And his grey eyes bored into mine. He looked tall even by sitting down and no doubt muscular. Even his semi-pale skin contrasted with his dark hair, making him look more intimidating.

"Who are you," he asks but it didn't really sound like a question. Almost like he was demanding me.

"Um—Eliza," I reply. He was a very intimidating person, he kept staring straight into my eyes.

"You're Eliza Liu?" With that, I nod silently and his eyes still watching every move.

"Sit," he tells me. So I sit on one of his black

chairs.

He then took out a big binder that was filled with dozens of paper inside.

"Here are the agreements and rules. The contract is inside too, I have already signed it," he hands me the binder. Something about him just gave me an aura of mysterious. No doubt he was attractive, but it was something about his eyes that I couldn't point out on.

"That's all?" I ask I'm disbelief. I thought we were going to have an actual meeting to discuss them.

"We're you expecting more?" He asks questioningly. "I guess not," I reply back, shrugging.

"Then return this back to me by tomorrow in my office at three pm sharp," he tells me sternly.
