30 Trigger Happy

...Tasnim POV...

Some very brave soul has just swung the door of the dressing room open, but the minute my name came yelling from his mouth, I immediately know who he is. As he so frequently does, he has shown up at the most imperfect time, for Carson has only but a moment ago, slowly slipped his semi-hard erection from me, and we managed to just get on our clothes.

Now to say that Carson is not furious would be an absolute lie as I can see the fire raging in his eyes. He has his hands clenched into fists so hard that his knuckles are turning white. He stands dead firm, not making the slightest move. No, but absolutely no part of his body gives any indication that he is scared. As I see the blankness on his face, I know there is only one way from here, and it is down south in a very bad way.

If this man knows what is good for him, he shall just turn around and head for the door. But still, the damn asshole comes walking up to us.

"Who the fuck do you think you are bursting in here like this?"

"And who do you think you are with your filthy paws all over my girl?"

"The last time I checked, Tasnim does not belong to anyone and most certainly not you. Now get your ass out of here before I throw you out!"

I hear his voice roar and echo to every corner of the room. The once soft-spoken Carson is now gone; this one sounds as he has a rage rumbling from deep within. Every single word he speaks comes out hard and threatening.

"I am not going anywhere without Tasnim. So why don't you just run along and stick yourself into another bitch'"

"It is Tasnim to you. And the only one doing the running here is you."

"Do not think I am for one minute scared of you. You just a pretty boy that thinks he can take my woman."

Hearing this man call me his woman only but infuriates Carson more; as he steps two steps forward, he grabs hold of his gun that he left on the table next to him. His hands are firmly wrapped around the grip; he does not flinch or even trembles. I have never in my life seen anyone so terrifying, but yet this man does not seem to listen.

"What are you going to do? Shoot me? I bet both of your toys fire blanks."

"Your butt ugly face is starting to annoy me. What the fuck do you want?"

"I came for my fiancé."

...Carson POV...

I watch the face of my princess go whiter than a sheet. She even has gone so far as to stop breathing. Now I am obviously missing something quite big around here, for as far as I knew, she was very much single, or at least that is what she told me.

"Princess, who is this?"

"Carson, this is Damian. My ex."

Her soft lips are stuttering as she tries to get the words out. There is something more to this, and I will find out.

"Oh, is that not just so sweet princess," this arrogant asshole has the nerve to say. "We never called the engagement off; you just walked out."

"Well, maybe that skull of yours is too thick; I am pretty sure if she walked out, then it is over."

"Did I ask for your opinion? Go take your gun and play somewhere else with it. The grownups need to talk."

If there is one thing that annoys me the most in life, then this...man, is annoying the shit out of it. He shall not come here and treat me, and most of all, my princess with anything less than respect. He looks like a low life scum and surely is reeking like one.

"Get your drunk ass out of here and go home."

"Not until I get what I came here for."

"You are now seriously grinding my ass up the wrong way."

It only takes me one second to grab him by the collar. As I slowly knot and turn my hand around it, I swear the man pisses his pants. But only for one brief moment, for soon thereafter, he decides it is a fantastic idea to laugh at me. If I thought he was stupid before, then he is completely brainless now. The next time he goes to open his dirty ass mouth, I let go of Tasnim's hand, and before he can even wink, my fist collides square into his jaw, his face snaps to the left, and his lips vibrate.

"Now get out of here before I really fuck you up."

And just when I think that he would listen to me, he attempts to have a shot at me. I am not a person that fights with his fists, but if this asshole wants to have a go, then I am up to it. As I want to return a punch, Tasnim shouts for me to stop.

"Please, can you guys stop!"

"Not until he leaves, princess."

"Well, I am not leaving until I speak to you."

This man is clearly stupid, for I am now repeating myself again. "It is not going to happen, so you might as well scram."

"Still ain't happening."

Then out of nowhere, Tasnim asks the unthinkable. "Carson, please let me talk to him; otherwise, he is never going to leave."

"Tasnim, I am not leaving you alone with this man."

"I will be fine, I promise you."

"I don't like this. I will be right outside the door if you need me."

...Tasnim POV...

I can't believe this is happening; why did the bouncers even let him in the first place? I was hoping that I did not have to tell Carson about it, for it was by far the worst mistake of my life. There was a very good reason why I left him like that in the first place. Now he is here to start trouble all over again, and he just started it with the wrong man. Either he is just plain stupid, or he does not really know whom he is messing with.

I watch as Carson makes the snail's pace to the dressing room door. The signs of frustration are written all over his face as he reluctantly leaves me alone. As the door closes behind him, I hear a hard thud as he leans against it.

"Nice company you keep, and let us not forget fuck."

"It is none of your business what I do, Damian."

"Oh yes, it is you, little slut. You can be glad that I don't rearrange his pretty little face."

"I see it is not even five minutes, and you are already name-calling. Just tell me what you want."

"Like I told your pretty boy, I am here for you."

"And the pretty boy told you what it means when someone walks out."

"Sorry to burst your perfect little bubble; you are still coming with me."

"What gives you the crazy idea that I will?"

"Oh, little princess, you know. Now come, I have better things to do than spend it in this shit hole."

Damian reaches out and firmly grips me around my wrist. He starts to walk off in the direction of the stage. I try to free myself, but he only tightens his grip.

"Damian, let me go!"

"It would be so much easier for both of us if you just listen and do as you are told."

He looks at me from over his shoulder, and I can see that look on his face, the very same look that was the reason why I sneaked off on that dark, cold night. I met him here one night and thought that he was the most amazing guy I have ever met. We were quite hasty, for we did get engaged way too soon, but at the time, we thought that we would be together for always. Then one day he turned into this, this man that is trying to force me to leave with him, but I refuse.

"Damian, let go of me!"

"Shut your fucking mouth and come."

"I am not! We are done!"

He pulls my arm even more forcefully and twists his hand around my wrist. He is gripping so tight, and the pain hurts like a bitch. He is twisting the skin and turning my arm as he keeps on pulling. I can almost see as the bruises are starting to form, but here fuses to let go.

"You are hurting me! Let go!"

"Stop making such a fuss. You are coming with me."

"Why would I want to go with an asshole like you?"

"What did you just call me?"

"I said you are an asshole."

"What did I say about calling me names?"

"Oh, what are you going to do?"

And I might have just spoken too soon because he stops dead in his tracks. He turns to face me, and all I can see is fury in his eyes; I think I might have just pissed him off. And when Damian gets pissed off, we all know what happens then.

"I see that you have forgotten your manners since you have been gone. Guess it is time to teach you again! You do not ever disrespect me. Do you understand me? "

I close my eyes as fear sets over my body, and I count to ten for it is about to come. I do not even get to five before I feel the flat of his cold hand smack against my cheek. The sting vibrates over my face, and my first instinct is to scream.

"Carson!"

...Carson POV...

Leaving her in there with him is driving me insane. The man looks like nothing but trouble, no wonder she has not mentioned him before. And by the looks of him, he was obviously not worth mentioning in the first place.

As I stand here against the door, I cannot hear much of what is going on. The music in the club is playing at full force because they have a show on. I keep on telling myself she is fine and if she is not that she will call me.

And then, just as I feared, I hear her scream. I grab hold of my gun and burst through the door only to find the bastard raising his hand to my princess.

"Get your hands off her!"
