Evren snatched the nearly empty glass from me and passed it to the next waitperson. Usually, there isn't always a waitperson in museums but I guess since it's the opening night they hired a few.

"Mr Bancroft, you never said you were leaving this early." The mayor called the moment we stepped out of the elevator as he walked over to where we stood. His eyes moved to me and then back to Evren as a smile displayed on his lips.

"Everyone is curious to know who the lady is, I hope it wouldn't be long before she's brought up properly." Of course everyone would ask, I was the only one in a mask.

"In due time you would know. I'll see you some other time Maxwell."

Maxwell? Even just called the mayor by his name and he didn't pick an offence in it.
