8 Chapter 7 Part 1

"Miss grey"

Stephanie greeted Aiyana as she walked through the twin doors into her cabin. Their hands briefly held on before Aiyana sat on the sofa.

Taking in the room, her eyes briefly stopping at the medical certificate that hung on the right end of the wall, designating Stephanie an expertise in such delicate matters of the mind.

"Was it a rough day?"

"Not really" Aiyana responded without any emotion in her voice.

It was only here that Aiyana dropped her a ray of sunshine act that she put up all the time.

"What happened today?"

"Nothing"

Aiyana’s lips parted slightly as she lightly chewed at her inner lip.

"Aiyana we have talked about this. Pent up emotions is toxic. And you are bound to have a great deal of them. Procrastinating a reaction or even hiding from it will only manifest into an outburst. One that will more violent than actually intended or appropriate to the situation." Stephanie took a deep breath before continuing.

" Now do you want to tell me about your day?"

"Actually I pay you to fix me. Not chat about my day, Stephanie"

Stephanie let a deep breath out, she had explained to Aiyana time and again that borderline personality disorder was not an check engine light that needed to get checked and fixed. It was a slow process one where Aiyana would have to co-operate.

"Besides I don't understand what needs fixing? I have friends"

"And do are any one of them close to you? What about your relationships? Have you still been able to have a functional non fuck relationship with a man? And the anger? Got any control on the things that you throw? And have you stopped crying when you're alone? Your parents have heard you and they have not told me otherwise."

Stephanie retaliated.

Stephanie was not sure how or when she would get through to Aiyana.

"I don't need this, Dr. Yards."

And with that Aiyana left. Yet again.

As soon as Aiyana stepped out just like she did every week she needed something or someone to take the edge off.

Scarlett only believed that the trail of men Aiyana fucked had stopped as had the cigarettes. Because Aiyana felt vulnerable showing Scarlett any more of her than she needed to know. Scarlett found out about the meaningless expeditions that Aiyana went when Aiyana fucked Liam and his best friend two months ago.

Liam had not known Scarlett back then.

Different times. Aiyana thought to herself, smiling as her eyes fell upon the cute waiter in the café just opposite to Stephanie’s office.

A quick coffee break would not hurt a man as pretty as him.
