I woke up with a small gasp and stretched out my arms. My body was slightly stiff but I knew it was because I gave Cloud another birthday present yesterday before we went to bed. He was soundly asleep next to me. The duvet covered his whole body and the only thing visible was his face. 

We were both still naked and I figured there would be no harm in taking advantage in that. I shimmied closer to him and kissed his forehead. Cloud did not take much time in waking up so by the time my lips kissed his cheeks his eyes fluttered open. He gave me a closed lip smile and scrunched up his nose. 

"Stop," his raspy voice softly said. 

"Am I not allowed to affectionately wake you up?" I chuckled as he wrapped his arms around my neck. 

"Not when I'm tired," he smiled and gave me a kiss. 

"Twenty-nine looks good on you."

"It does, doesn't it," he giggled. "I have to get ready for work."
