My excitement for the science project had most definitely dwindled down since I found I would be working with Anika. I knew realistically she must have been a nice person and maybe in another universe I would have liked her. 

But not when it came to Adonis. Adonis was like the popular boy in high school everyone wanted to be with. He had the looks, the charm, the smarts and knew how to pull on your heart strings without really trying. 

Out of all the cheerleaders and beautiful girls out there he decided to go for the class nerd; me. I knew I had to prove myself even more so everyone could understand why he chose me over the future queen of Sweden. 

Unfortunately I knew I had to let my brain do the talking instead of my looks today. 

"I can't believe you have downgraded me to such-" I huffed as I tugged the button up shirt I was wearing, "to such simplicity."
