Where's CEO Xia?!

"The latest report of this month shows a slight increase in the net..."

As his secretary kept him up to date with the recent happenings in his company, Xia Jiannan could only wish to lay his back on his comfortable bed at his penthouse.

Because of the continuously piling up work documents in his office, he knew that a single second could not be wasted.

However, he was well aware that taking care of himself now was much better than to stay in the hospital for a few days due to over fatigue. That was why he decisively pulled up his right hand, motioning Secretary Cheng to stop.

"Cancel all my meetings for the rest of the day and personally look for Hao Hua's manager to see if the things I've asked him are already arranged."

With that said, Xia Jiannan pulled open the car door and slumped his body at the backseat.

"To the penthouse." Xia Jiannan ordered.

However, the driver seemed to not have heard him. They just remained motionless while examining the man through the rearview mirror.

The man looked as though he was having a massive headache as he kept on rubbing his temples with his eyes closed. His perfectly sculpted face was contorted, maybe due to pain and fatigue.

It was only after some time that Xia Jiannan felt that the car had not moved. He tried to open his eyes but to no avail. The several days of non-stop working must have really exhausted him, not only mentally but physically as well.

The moment his body fell on the backseat, Xia Jiannan shut his eyes close. He really needed to rest. And because he couldn't pry open his eyes, he opted to reiterate his words.

"Drive me to the penthouse."

At that, the driver started the engine and the car moved out from Hao Hua's parking lot.

Xia Jiannan rested at the backseat, obviously not aware that he had mistakenly boarded another person's car.

Secretary Cheng looked helplessly at the faint outline of his Young Master through the car window, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

It had been a few days already that his Eldest Young Master had a complete night's rest. He would often stay up late and wake up before the sun had even risen up for these past few weeks. So, as his most reliable right-hand man, Secretary Cheng would always remind his stubborn Young Master to let his body rest.

But now that Xia Jiannan had decided to take heed to his requests, Secretary Cheng could only suck it up and deal with the unfinished tasks left by the boss.

Secretary Cheng could almost feel his body spasming from the tons of workload in the CEO's plate.

Regardless, he still went back inside the lavishly designed hotel to meet with Mr. Liang to discuss the CEO's matters.

"Everything has been taken care of, Mr. Cheng. Please send my regards to CEO Xia and tell him that there's nothing to worry about." Mr. Liang said with a kind smile plastered on his face.

Just as he was about to send the other party off, Mr. Liang knitted his brows as he noticed Secretary Cheng fidgeting in his seat.

"Is there something wrong, Mr. Cheng?"

"That, Mr. Liang..." Secretary Cheng hesitated for a moment. "If it's not inconvenient for you to speak, may I inquire about what specific event does our CEO plan to organize?"

Mr. Liang, upon hearing Secretary Cheng's inquiry, turned silent for a long while before shaking his head no.

CEO Xia had tasked him to treat this matter with utmost secrecy so he really could not divulge even the tiniest bit of information to anyone.

"I'm afraid I cannot provide Mr. Cheng an answer to your question. Please pardon me..." Mr. Liang smiled ruefully.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Secretary Cheng turned and left Mr. Liang while lamenting in his heart.

'Eldest Young Master really likes to do things discreetly. Even I do not know what he is planning all along.'

The moment he stepped outside the glass doors of the restaurant, Secretary Cheng was surprised to see that the CEO's car had not yet left. He thought that by now, the Eldest Young Master was on his way back home.

'It seems that the CEO still had an ounce of care for this old me and decided to wait for me.'

This thought brought a smile on the slightly wrinkled old face of Secretary Cheng. However, his smile slowly turned into a frown when he reached and glanced at the backseat of the car.

"Where's CEO Xia?"
