6 Waypoint

"In order, they are simply called shadows. They are existences that feed on chi, they are naturally attracted to new existences because they have a hard time masking their power. They should not have been so many though, something in your chi attracts them even more strongly." Lexi had a worried look on her face when she reached that part of the explanation and Markesh signaled her to stop. "He deserves to know Markesh, it is his life at risk. Continuing, this is called a waypoint, there are many others like it. They were built by ancient masters as a place to meditate or practice chi arts with minimal drawbacks, they are also sanctuaries from the shadows. They hide our presence here and the shadows naturally avoid them. They can not form properly here so they can not feed on the chi here. We should be safe here." She glanced at John's red chi pulsating with the waypoint when she said this. I hope we're safe here she thought, most existences do not immediately begin to affect a waypoint. It takes time for them to resonate with each other but John seems to be doing it already. "My name is Lexi and this is Markesh, I'm sure you heard our names during our earlier exchange. We were sent here by a group called The Circle of Knowledge to assist in your transition into the dream plane and to offer you guidance and lead you to the nearest branch of The Circle." She smiled to show her good intentions and John had to admit that she was quite beautiful, especially when she smiled. She had blond hair with 1 lonely blue streak running down the left side of her face. Her eyes were a deep blue and so was her third eye, she turned to Markesh and turned back and the effect was quite stunning. Watching her turn while her hair fluttered, she smiled with her eyes as much as her mouth. She had high cheek bones and full red lips, she wore no make-up but was easily one of the most beautiful women John had ever seen. She seemed to notice John's infatuation at the same time he realized he was staring. He quickly recovered, "Its a pleasure to meet you both" he said with a quick look at Markesh before turning his eyes back towards Lexi. "I never expected my savior to be so beautiful." Lexi blushed slightly at this point before responding, "We would have saved you regardless. And it was mostly him." She motioned to Markesh, she was truthfully infatuated with a John, he was an anomaly so he was very interesting to her. His well groomed facial hair only helped him. She was used to dream bodies so she ignored his perfect physique to focus on his eyes, his third eye to be precise. There was a small red dot in the center of a sea of black, around the outside there a red line forming and it continued to emit a red glow, forming a red halo around it. "Yes yes we're all very pleased with each other." Markesh was growing tired of that exchange already, he was a man about 5'10" with a perfect physique as well. He wore his hair in a long ponytail and had his face fully shaved. His third eye also glowed blue but it was bordering on a purple color. He wore pants similar to John's but his sash was purple and his pants had an insignia on the right leg. A white eagle with its wings outstretched, in it's right claw it held a book and in the other it held what looked to be a magnifying glass. Lexi also had this insignia on her right pant leg, her attire was similar to Markesh's apart from a green sash instead of purple and she wore what appeared to be a kimono over her upper body, covering her breasts. She had the body of a swimmer mixed with that of a runway model, with curves in all the right places and such grace that all of her movements were alluring. Markesh was built like a linebacker, broad shoulders and a low center of gravity. Powerful and ready to charge, he gave off the impression of a bull mixed with that of a bull frog, immovable but ready to strike at a milliseconds notice. Both of them gave off an aura of power like John had never seen before, it was like being in a cartoon. He wouldn't allow them to intimidate him though, not that they were trying. They seemed to be on edge, Markesh especially, he didn't seem comfortable with the way things were unfolding. John took in these details in a minutes and seconds it took Lexi to finish her explanation. "The strange light you speak of is chi, the natural power of our bodie and that is abundant in all planes but especially in the dream plane. All humans emit chi naturally but it takes a truly skilled person to emit colored chi. The waypoints collect the excess chi from the environment and from experts like ourselves and all things living. It only takes the excess, it does not feed on people, only on the chi they release naturally. Just as trees breathe in what we breathe out a vis versa, waypoints do the same only with chi. The only difference is that they make practicing chi arts easier because they hold such an abundance of chi in their vicinity that we are able to borrow part of it from them. Many experts choose to meditate in these sights or practice new chi attacks or defensive arrays. As I said we brought you here for protection from the beasts and to evaluate your chi abilities. When you are ready we will ask you to meditate and try to reach the core of your being. Attempt to close off your mind and begin to feel the world with your third eye. You will only be able to reach a deep meditative state if you are true to yourself and you truly empty your mind."
