24 It Begins

The second half of the match began, as the Wolves team had a sense of urgency in there movements. They tried there best to even the score quickly, but missed most of the chances and half chances they got.

The match continued till about the 55th Minute, before the Wolves team made the first substitution of the match.

They subbed in a striker to replace there already frustrated Starting striker of the match in an attempt to quickly score a goal.

The match had no obvious change as both team still struggled to find chances to score.

Around the 59th minutes Tony's friend John was finally subbed on to replace the former winger of man city.

John tried his best to quickly make an impact when he got on the pitch but he didn't get any clear chances.

After John got on and there was no great change to the match, Coach Luca called Tony who was already warming up with his other teammates at the side of the pitch to come over and meet Coach Taylor.

"You can see the situation out there, I want you to try and find a space between there defensive midfielder and the defenders to find a space to create a chance for your teammates or to shoot if the chance arises."

Coach Taylor quickly explained to Tony with the use of a note pad showing the other teams position for him to better understand.

"Yes Coach" Tony quickly answered as he was already feeling impatient and anxious to begin the game.

Tony finally got subbed on around the 65th minute for the attacking midfielder of his team.

Tony was assigned a Jersey number of 17 for the season. He was too new in the academy to have been assigned a good number like 10 or 8.

When he immediately got subbed on started using his system scanner on the opponents. The best skill he could copy was a skill of Passing B+ that had the condition of having at least one assist against the opponent.

He also saw another skill of Long shots B+ which had a condition of him scoring in the match. Tony felt if he achieved any of the conditions for either skill, it could be said to be a good day in the office.

Tony felt he needed to achieve any of the two conditions or even both as he wanted to show his worth to the coaches, as he began to immerse himself to the flow of the game.

The match was now getting tense and hot as the Wolves team were still in a search for a goal.

Tony tried to establish a rhythm with his teammates with short passes when man city had possession of the ball. When they didn't have possession he joined the team in defending.

Around the 80th minute of the match he finally saw the space between opposition defenders and the defensive midfielder of there team as a teammate of Tony passed to him.

He received the ball and moved it quickly into the box before he faced one of the central defenders, as he quickly attempted to dribble past him by faking his movements and doing a wall pass with his teams striker.

Tony passed the ball to the striker who was a little to his left, and immediately ran into the box. The striker immediately passed the ball to the front of Tony through the defenders.

Tony received the ball and was now one on one with the opposition defenders. Tony had none of his teammates who was now through on goal, calmly slotted the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.

The keeper stretched his legs and hand but couldn't get to the ball.

Immediately Tony scored the goal he ran towards the corner flag as he then slid on his knees with both his hands outstretched before his other teammates came to pile up on his body.

Tony who hadn't thought of a goal celebration only did what came to his mind when he scored the goal.

After they got up and were going back to his team's half of the pitch, he went to Pat the shoulders of his team's striker for the assist. This was his first competitive goal on his first competitive appearance.

The match soon resumed as man city took there time to get back to there half of the pitch to resume the match.

The wolves team immediately threw more players forward as they were more determined to find a goal.

The Wolves team urgently moved the ball to attack, while man city were more focused on defense.

Man City who were winning by 2:0 were committed to defending there lead as they had all there players defending.

Tony was now deep in his own half as he was positioned just outside of his team's 18 yard box.

Any time man city won the ball, the wolves team would immediately counter press in other to quickly avoid a counter.

While Man City would try to quickly clear the all out of there own half of the pitch. The game went on as both teams exchanged possession of the ball several times.

Around the 90th minute, man city got back posesion once more. The ball was quickly passed forward to the attacking players of man city who were quickly trying to get into the opposition box.

A long pass was given to Tony who was just outside of the centre circle in his team's half.

He received the ball looked up for a pass, Rose quickly observed the best place to pass the ball to Tony who quickly lobbed the ball over all the retreating players towards the front of his striker.

The striker who already knew that the Wolves defender were already closing in on him, quickly used his right leg to control the dropping ball. Before he immediately shot the ball towards the post.

The Wolves goalkeeper was not expecting a shot at that moment and was flat-footed as he could only watch the ball fly into the net.

The goal was so fast and sudden that it took everyone by surprise including the Man City players on the pitch, as they all rushed towards the striker to celebrate with him.

Man City celebrated for a while before they started to walk back to there half. Tony saw his team striker who scored the goal and went closer to him.

"Hey! I returned the favour perfectly" Tony told the striker of his team with a smile, as they walked back to there half of the pitch to resume the match.

"Thanks man" He happily said with a thumbs up to appreciate the pass.

The Wolves team were now totally dejected as they had no more realistic hope of winning the game, as they played impassionately, while man city just took hold of possession for a long time as they waited for the match to end.

The game finally ended with Man city winning the game by 3:0 to get there first victory for the season and three points.
